Sounds like a nightmare process Put plastic on rv sides, wash surface let dry 1 day. Next day sand and wash again let dry 2 days. If plastic didnt blow off. Then dicor lap on screws and flanges. Let dry 12 hours so 3 days then on 4th day apply 2 coats. Try this without a garage.

This says most TPO roofs so how do i know which ones it wont work on? I have a TPO roof that i need to reseal.

Drives me nuts seeing how sealant is always initially just blobbed on creating pockets and crevices. i can't help but think giving it a little flattening and smoothing, nothing fancy, but kinda like what you'd do when caulking a bathroom, would give it better life

What a mess. Can't you figure out a material that isn't designed to deteriorate? What do they use for semi trailers? They don't have layer after layer of guck building up over the years.

Anyone know if you need to plug the old screw holes that don’t match/overlap the new roof vent? It wasn’t done in this video and I’m not sure if it’s necessary or not.

I’m roofing my Gazebo with a steel roof. This is a hip style roof. Would this be a good product to use where the metal roofs meet on ea hip? Of course there is a cap that would cover the area after sealing

Glad to hear that it can be applied over the old in some cases. I would have thought I would need to scrape off all the old and start from scratch. Gonna try just patching over the cracks in the old stuff to start. 🤞 Thanks!

Can you tool the sealant like regular caulks instead of big glubs?

Use a tooth brush when cleaning the old sealant so the inside of the crack gets cleaned out.

What are the advantages / disadvantages of a metal roof like this one versus a rubber or TPO roof? How often do you need to do this roof coating job if you have a metal roof? Thanks for the informative demonstration!

What if it's TPO with fleece backing.(I watched your video). Our coach is a 2003 Newmar Dutch Star DP and I believe it was called Brite Tec roof.

You forget PVC... epdm can be manufactured white, and tpo black. tpo is usually white on top black on bottom, and EPDM black on top and bottom. so many things wrong about the first method. and PVC can follow any of the above

Recommend cleaning the roof first to include cleaning the old sealant that has blacken.

With such strength to withstand most anything dropped on it, Vixenite should *definitely* be used as side wall for RVs, motorhome, travel trailer, slide-on campers, etc.

ATTENTION CANADIAN BUYERS! You can order on line but its a real slap in the face. 2 rolls of tape came to $41.29 USD Freight UPS was an additional $31.57 USD. A total of $72.86 USD. That came to over $100 CAD. But then with tax and UPS brokerage and tax on brokerage I paid another $37.76 CAD. My total for 2 rolls of tape was about $140 CAD. So for $50 of tape you pay $90 to get it. If only they'd use USPS instead of UPS I could recommend they're product.
