I have used Evolve 75 for 6 months now and bought the Evolve2 65 today due to some mic issue in Evolve75.
    Comparison:
    1) Music sound is definitely better in Evolve2 65
    2) Looks-wise I find Evolve2 65 better as Evolve 75 looks bit weird to me
    3) Noise cancellation is definitely better in Evolve 75(ANC)
    4) Evolve 75 has a magnet attached to the mic withhold it vertically while Evolve2 65 mic looks cheap but is better at noise cancellation
    5) Finally Evolve2 65 is value for money, if we ignore ANC Evolve2 65 is way better than Evolve 75
Edit: After using for about 2 weeks:
The mic on Jabra2 65 has some issues, if we speak loud then it feels like the air travel through the mic to the ears and causes a vibration in the ears. It is really annoying, you can test this by blowing air into the mic.

75= worse mic with worse noicecancelling but better speakers with more clearp crisp sound. 65= better mic with suburb noisecancelling speakers sounded a bit more shallow though. So if you use the headset for meetings only and have other speakers for music on idle time OR that it's really important that YOU sound good I recommend 65. If hearing good and having good music is most important the 75 is better. I'd pick the 65 everyday of the week though since I listen to music through far better speakers than any headset, and I want ppl to hear me loud and clear.

I have Evolve 75's rolled out through my offices with stock of them hitting a low I'm left wondering about going with the Evolve2 75, which seems to have a hefty price hike in Australia, or the Evolve2 65. One feature I particularly like on the original 75's is when they're turned on you're given information about the connections and battery life for example if you have the USB in your laptop and BT to your phone you'll hear "PC connected, mobile device connected" along with "battery full". Does the Evolve2 65 have this feature?

  • @jsfbay1

Thanks for doing these reviews. You *have* to level-match the audio when you switch between the two products. People will almost *always* choose the one that sounds louder (in this case the older product by a large margin). Maybe level matching is not possible (I'm a software engineer, not audio engineer so I'm no help :-)).

It seems like the 65 sounds like it has a better mic, but the 75 sounds better in the ear? Is there one with the best of both? I want my customers to hear me. I also recently lost most hearing in one of my ears. I’ve been using a bone conduction setup with ear plugs from aftershock. Any other recommendations for my situation?

Hi Lauma, you really can't go wrong with either model. They're both great headsets! That being said if ANC and being able to hide the microphone into the headset is two features you'd really like to have, then the Evolve2 75 will be worth the wait. Man...you had me confused @ 5:20 because you said you were switching to the Evolve 75 right before, but the Evolve 75 is still sitting on the table! Ha ha! You had the Evolve2 65 on your ears at that time. The noise cancellation on the Evolve2 65 microphone was DOPE, though! Was that legit or did you lower the background noise so we could hear you speak?? If not, the Evolve2 65 "MIC" is far superior with noise cancellation. Great detailed review, though! Let me know because I just bought the E2 65...ha ha! Thanks!

Haha we had to keep you on your toes 😂 anytime we do a test we plug it in and test so you can hear for yourself. Nothings edited or changed between the different comparisons. The mic volume is usually about 50% on all tests, and we leave the background volume the same :)

The tip of little plastic piece on the boom on my Jabra 75 headset broke and I’ve been glueing it. I bought a Bose set in the meantime. The Bose are great for noise canceling for me BUT they seem to be amplifying background noise to my clients who are listening! Is noise canceling only for me? • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 роки тому +1

Hi Nicole, you're welcome and thanks for watching :) There's no button to turn on or off the microphone noise cancellation. No headsets we've tested will 100% block out the background noises, but having a noise canceling microphone will help reduce the noise. That being said, your microphone gain may be to high. Check out this video ua-cam.com/video/J65gbQVmSDc/v-deo.html to adjust your microphone volume and bring it down to around 30-50%. Secondly, download Jabra direct here www.jabra.com/software-and-services/jabra-direct to see if there's any updates available.

These headsets are best designed for your mobile phone + computer. To switch between your cell phone and computer is easy. When you use the computer, the headset knows to set the computer as default. When you switch to audio on the mobile, it switches.

I wouldn't recommend them, the USB piece breaks easily when detaching it from the computer , and we need te replace about 30% of our products with a year...
