    I must say thank you so much to this channel. I was so overwhelmed when it came to choosing an upgrade for the headset my wife and I are using for work at home. But I randomly stumbled on you guys and been binging the content ever since, the choice became so much easier with the right advice and being able to make the decision myself with all the tests you guys performed. I ended up going with the Evolve2 65 because the 75 just came out and the price is a little harder to bear, specially when I was in the market for 2 of them(For my wife and I.) All in all, thank you guys so much and I hope this new year treats you guys the best it can. Very happy I found you guys, and of course you have earned a new sub. Keep up the great work.

    I run a Telemarketing company where we sit in an open landscape. We bought 2 Jabra2 75 to test against our 75 old one. Jabra75 is far better at blocking out noise in the background, so in relation to our use, the Jabra75 is the best at blocking out noise so that it does not let in sound when we talk to our customers

    Hey Dave, indeed great review! However, I do think you missed two things, that from my perspective is so important that I will most probably return my Evolve2 75.
    the first and biggest issue is the difference in the sidetone implementation. In the Evolve 75 the boom mic was used as input for the sidetone. this means that even in a noisy environment, your own voice is played clearly into your own ears as you speak. (so the NC of the boom mic is used not only to pass your voice cleanly to your call, but as well for sidetone)
    on the evolve2 75 (as with the evolve2 85) the sidetone is using the mics on the earcups to create sidetone. this makes the ANC + sidetone a useless setup, whereas on the evolve 75 this was an amazing setup.
    the second issue I found, is that the headband would naturally creep backwards on the head, which is by itself not an issue, but because of the way the new boom mic is designed, it would create too much distance between the mouth and the mic. this has happened regularly. and because the mic is very good at NC, it would start to disturb your own voice being picked up.
    Keep up the good work!

      The side tone (or passthrough / transparency mode )as it's sometimes called is essential for me, and Im surprised that its rarely mentioned in reviews of headsets. If the headset doesn't have it I cant hear myself and it feels like I have my fingers in my ears, it's quite off putting. I have a set of the Evolve 75's and the Sidetone is useful but could be louder for me. Interesting the hear Aron's experience, because if Sidetone is worse on the 2's then I wont be upgrading. I was looking at the Yealink BH76's when they come out. The 72's sound great both speaker and mic, but dont have any kind of Sidetone or ANC.
      Thanks for the review.

      @@popaki9484 Hi! Yes, sadly the sound is still the best on the old 75's. I have the orosound tilde pro c, and the evolve2 75, and the old 75, and I am still using the old 75 for about 90% of my meetings and calls. I just like the over ear design on the orosound. I own both and I feel the 75 is just as good for most applications. With your detailed tests here it seemed like the 75 was better on the wind test than the E2 but the E2 was better on the blender test. I use to own the 85 (non E2) and just wish for the extra money that the mic was as good as the E2 75 or even better but IMO the E1 85 and E2 85 I feel it's slightly worse which makes NO sense. As a user of the original 75s for at least 3 years now, the one major feature of the 75 v1 is that the mic will mute when the boom goes up. This feature is missing (as far as I'm aware) on the 75 v2. I realize that's not something that everyone needs, but it's so handy if you need to mute while you're doing something with your hands where you can't interact with the buttons. Hope this helps other users considering an upgrade.

    I did want to follow up a previous comment about the evolve2 75, when anc is active it now does implement side tone through the microphone boom!
    Also, if you have the 275 paired to two devices you can also get audio access to a third device if it is plugged into the usb-c port for wired audio!! So it’s functionally like having 3 device multipoint (but not technically so). This trick works with the 265, 275 and 285! Try it out, I tested it accidentally on my new one and tried the others to verify. The button controls will prioritize the usb-c connected device (the call button will access whichever device is a soft phone, the voice assistant prioritizes the mobile device) in this configuration.

    These reviews are generally helpful, what I realize on this testing setup is that the source of noise is below the microphone and behind the headset mic that is facing the mouth. I would appreciate a stereo noise source setup, especially if the noise is from the same direction as the mic facing the mouth.

    I use the E1 75 at work and love it, so I ordered the E2 75 for my home setup.
    Honestly the E2 has been a disappointment and it all comes down to the microphone.
    When in a call or meeting, other participants are complaining that my voice sounds muffled and frequently cuts out, to the point where I am asked to switch to the PC or web cam mic.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 роки тому

      Muffled sound can be caused by a number of things. One of those things that contributes to this condition is microphone placement. Two fingers width from the corner of the mouth is ideal. Too close, and it sounds bad.Too far away from this spot and more background noise can be heard, and less of your voice. So, I'd start there. I'd also recommend that you download the Jabra Direct app. if you haven't already, and do a firmware update. If you haven't done this, you might find that this fully resolves your issue. This will be the case in comparison to any headset, so it's not the best baseline to compare. Our new videos we will have the correct baseline comparisons :)

      Hi Phil, yes it sounds very good for calls, meetings and is good (not great for audiofiles) for music.

    I've just purchased the Evolve 75 - to replace an older version.
    But I was disappointed that the microphone boom can only be worn on the right ear! This is problematic for me, I really want to switch it to the left ear - is this possible, somehow ?? Does anybody know ?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  4 місяці тому +1

      Unfortunately there's no way to switch the microphone boom between left and right. Definitely one downside on this model for some.

      @@HeadsetAdvisor Thank you so much for replying. Yes, so disappointing ... I might need to return. Would the Evolve2 have that function ?

    Does it cancel the echo too?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Рік тому

      A little yes. But if you want you can add a noise cancellation software that removes echo on both mic and speaker level. We are launching this software later this year Neep.com

    Ok but you never do a good analysis of the noise cancelling on the speakers!

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 роки тому +2

      We'll try to do better in that area. It's hard to rate as everyon has different perceptions or ratings when it comes to the noise canceling of the speakers. Thanks for the feedback.

    I just purchased Jabra evolve2 75 MS version and expecting to get my headset next week. In my office, we use only Cisco WebEx for calls and meetings. Will my Jabra MS version work with Cisco WebEx calls and meetings? No other call platform is used in my office. Also I have installed Jabra direct software in my office computer. Please let me know if my headset will work or not

    Jabra products are really overpriced and mediocre at best. My 65 and 75 each died after approximately two years, unfortunately the company I'm working for exclusively offers Jabra products for their workers...

      Battery issue?

    • @tsuchan
      @tsuchan Рік тому

      I've had my Jabra Evolve 75 headset for about 3 years, and just now I'm starting to have problems with the charging connection. But before that I must have had more than a dozen high-end models of Logitech wireless headsets, which lasted between 3 and 12 months. Life has been soooo much easier with the Jabra... well worth its price.
