@@unbornshaitan Honestly, I think the 2006 animation is better. Whatever renderer they used looks more realistic than the current one. Also, it’s not changing artstyles every other shot.
Not sure if you're talking about the same vinyl but I also have the original from the 1970's, which I used to listen to as a little boy back then. The artwork is fantastic.
Liam Nesson as the voice is way off. I cant even get though the thing to enjoy the new musical edition. Ruins it. Like hearing Qigong Jin tell a silly story. Far out, wrong move.
*Last I checked, WotW was HG Wells' work, not Jeff Wayne's. He literally rips off Wells' story word for word and has the audacity to take credit for it.*
Jeff Wayne made the musical back in 1978 with the permission and grace from one of H.G. Wells descendants when it was still in copyright. These days the story in general is considered a public domain, and the story itself is not copyrighted.
Nothing against Liam Neeson, but nobody was ever going to come close to the legendary Richard Burton for narrating this..
Amen i am so happy to have the original dvd of the stage show and the cd box as wel
I think Liam Neeson was a decent choice, but like Freddie Mercury in Queen, no one could have done it better than Richard Burton. He was outstanding.

Jeff Wayne's the war of the world's tripods: FIYAHH
what actually bothers me is that they still use the 2006 model in some sequence as in 5:54
Yeah that can be a bit strange, But tbh, I actually preferred the 06 designs then the current ones.
What's the difference? There's a different model than the one in 2006?
@@TayoEXE the modern looking ones are more higher in quality unlike the 2006-2009 CGI

I wish he would bring his live show to UA-cam so people in the states can enjoy it to.
ULLAAAAAAAA
Cool
I would like to see if a modern engineer, using modern computer systems, could actually make a tripod walk.
It would be rather cool if they could.
They actually did that for the 2016 west end tour. There should be a video of that on here.
It could be done eather with hydrolics or electric lifts and a rail system
i saw some video it can move (little bit)
The day of our demise.
Ah there's the laser

@@tnetroP that's the exact one I feared those heat ray zapping Martians when I was a kid
Looks slightly comical.
Trust me, the idea sounds silly, then you listen to the full album from start to finish and you realize it is actually well executed.
Mine better front row
OMG whos that talking thats terrible, where is Richard Burton ?
Its Liam Neeson the new journalist since 2012
I'm afraid the dulcet tones of Richard Burton are long gone.
Burton, unfortunately
how can you not know this?
😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Got to be honest this looks so cheesy. Should have had Anothy Hopkins as the voiceover.
I love it, but I'm somewhat glad I didn't pay to go and see it.
Yea i only want to see the first version it sounds beter together with the voices and singers
I paid and went to see this the 40th anniversary, The Live orchestra was worth every penny xx
