- Jeff Wayne’s The War Of The Worlds - Life Begins Again Tour !!
In 1978 Jeff Wayne released The Musical Version of The War of The Worlds.
It received massive love, rewards and success!
Selling over 15 million copies!
The live show is back!
- Bought tickets to this back in 2020 before the world went crazy, a year turned into 2, but it was worth the wait as the show was phenomenal!
I was lucky enough to see the first tour back in 2006 thanks to my Dad taking us.
He would have loved the fact Justin Haywood returned!
Filmed this for memories & for those who can’t make it.
I hope the tour happens again! Will be back!

IMPORTANT! -
I filmed this with my phone against my chest. No one was effected by my phone. We had a concrete wall behind us & was at the end of a row. If the wall hadn’t have been there and there were other people behind me I wouldn’t have filmed any of the show.
If you do film the show, please be respectful to those around you trying to enjoy it! :) - Розваги
One day…one day I’ll see this, and I won’t regret the absolute pain I will go through for it, I will donate my left leg to see this live on stage.
me too but I’m in New Zealand
Tour around UK starting April 2025
@@anthonybeaumont9919 I learned today of the coming tour from a work mate , looked it up this afternoon and plan to book my ticket tomorrow, even though the performance isn't till next year!
Going next year can’t wait xxx
The pain will be more than worth it. I've been 4 times and the last time Justin was in it. Superb! PS - I'll lend you a kidney if that helps seal the deal? Anything for a fellow fan.
The drummer needs an award for his timing and strength. The guitars, the strings, all superb. Great combo. Jeff Wayne a genius 👏 ❤️
the large drums ...is done by a female , forgot her name , but great yea....shes on the harp as well ...
Tears overflowed seeing Justin again. And yes I was also singing along to Thunderchild
I loved the original from 2006ish. So glad he brought Justin Hayward back!
Just watched this live in cardiff,my first time, anyone who hasn't seen this just has to it's that good.
you have to exprince the VR active , in london , bridge , , great 2 hours of myt life , VR head sets in sections
Me and my family saw it in Birmingham, 78 years old and he’s still got it.
Saw the first tours with Jason Donovan as the artillery man, Jeff signed my program, what a truly awesome fella he is!
Cool!! Went to the 2006 one but was very young but remember most of it.
Met Jeff after the gig and he signed my Mums poster was cool! I said thank you for the music and he smiled back :)
1:38 I love how the heat ray is just jamming out to the music XD I love how they made the heat ray able to twist its head.
The martian controlling it was probably showboating, like "You can't touch this, puny humans."
@@ReluctantWarrior I think it was aimbotting
I think the Martian plated RDR2
My wife & I saw this in Cardiff on Saturday, after waitign for 2yrs!!!...brialliant show, and Kevin Clifton was incredible....who'd have thought a hoofer off SCD could fill the shoes of David Essex
Woah 2 years, definitely sounds like it was worth the wait
I like the ending, it’s pretty cool
Thanks for showing the 2022 tour! I'm loving the new CGI background snippets that they've included now. It really increases the scope and gravity of the martian invasion--I love it
I was at this tonight. What an amazing show again. Thank for posting
Just seen this show last night in Newcastle, it was stunning. I have the record, the CD and now i have seen it live. Forget about it not been the same as the album the artists who appear are great and stunning.
I want nothing more than for a dvd release that has all the background screen footage, especially with all the new stuff theyve added
1:47 That's got to be the most impressive Heat Ray gunman I have ever seen
i saw this when they came to NZ i wish they would come back!!
Hope the show comes to America some day
The heat ray spinning around made me chuckle for some reason
Saw the show in liverpool a few weeks ago. What a performance. Chris spedding still on guitar sounding great. Everyone should see this. Me and my lad felt like we should have be doing the "we are not worthy" thing when jeff wayne came onstage.
We were at Nottingham Area for this truly brilliant experience - this was our 4th time having seen this show over the past few years. Truly an outstanding performance by the artists on stage, the musicians, CGI film and of course not forgetting the brilliant Jeff Wayne. If you get the chance go and see this show.
I was there too. My first time and something I have wanted to experience for so long. An amazing night. I got very emotional too.
It was our 4th time also. Each one slightly different and better than the one before.👍
Thank you for sharing this video. Jeff Wayne is a musical genius.
I agree
Sunday , 9th April ....HELOOO AGAIN ! , GREAT SHOW , only problem one , when the show started no sound , out the speakers , Jeff Wyane said: 16 years doing this , and it was the FIRST TIME , it happened,,, so had a 25 mins wait . ....so busy lots of public there
. I was more to side ( same side seeing this ) but still high up about , the head height of the MARTIAN . My best bit thunder child , artillery man , and
spirt of the man .
Was there at O2 as well “16 years and never had this before - Aren’t you Lucky “ 😂😂😂
I watched it last night in Leeds.....absolutely outstanding from start to finish
Went to the show today in Cardiff. Top notch!
Kevin Clifton was fantastic as his role as the Artilleryman.
Saw this on Saturday in Cardiff. The whole show was amazing. I must say though that Kevin Clifton was outstanding.
I was at Cardiff's want to just say I was blown away by Kevin, where the heck has he been hiding his voice? Claire and Duncan were great as well.
just used my savings for two tickets for 2025 and i absolutely do not regret it
Just been to see this tonight in Brighton with my 2 daughters, who both loved it. Fantastic show.
Saw it at Ovo Hydro Glasgow last Saturday, 2nd April. Truly mesmerizing. A brilliant night
Fabulous thanks for posting, saw this at Cardiff Motor Point the Saturday after this was absolutely blown away by the whole show. Now I've found your post I can watch it again and again, wonderful.
Glad you enjoyed :)
Thanks for the nice comment
Saw this in Brighton 2 weeks ago. Fantastic. Kevin Cliftonville was the best.
I am going to the postponed concert in Amsterdam sometimes later this year hopefully. It will be my 3rd time and everytime I see this, I get goosebumps and tears in my eyes. It's THAT good. I love WotW!
Went to see this myself on this night. Bloody spectacular! It looks like you were in the same block as me too! Pretty sure I can hear my wooing at one point.
Waited 2 years to take my 2 sons their girlfriends and my partner to see this tonight and I'm stuck at home with covid. I'll be with them in spirit watching the recorded live show on my TV that sky put on a few mths ago. See you next time perhaps. BTW I saw the first ever tour and I must add that the 2nd time I saw it far too much had been added to please people. If people can't listen and use their imagination then they don't ever remember lying in bed with the album on the turntable listening to the music through headphones.
Oh no way!!! Sorry to hear!
Yeah I agree about the add on’s, I enjoyed the HG Wells clips, but wasn’t a fan of the forever autumn duet much. “Life begins again” I hated when it was released but after seeing it live I enjoyed it a lot.
Wish it was Richard burtons narration still, but I’ll take Justin Haywood 😂
Hopefully they do another tour! :) think will do the VIP next time
@@cheeseburgervlogs yes Richard Burtons voice was the greatest but they only had his voice and now they got Liam in extra footage i suppose which they couldn't do with Richard.
God, I really wish they’d release this on DVD already. 😭
You can get it on dvd but it's about 12 years old but still amazing.
@@Janz32 IK. I've got both the 2007 and 2013 tours on DVD. What I meant was I wish they would release the 2020/2022 version. It looks bloody awesome
@@tiredtoby6930 yeah they changed some of the animation on the backscreen it looks amazing
@@GayCheesetuber The majority of the animation is from The New Generation, but when you look at it again, you can find some pretty interesting details
If u went to to the show u got the chance to buy it , it’s awsum xx
I seen it at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, on April 2nd, this year, absolutely amazing!! 😀 😀 I have the re-mastered double CD, and to this day it still gives me goosebumps, i still look up to the sky like i did when i heard it for the first time all those years ago, next Monday, April 25th, i turn 50 and i still love War of the Worlds!! 😀 😀
Just got back from watching it in Leeds, it was my first time seeing it. Absolutely fantastic
I can't believe I missed this in Glasgow...gutted! It's been a busy year and I haven't been keeping up to date with what's on so it's my own fault. I have loved the album for over 40 years. Had I known, I'd have been all over it! OOOO-LAAAAH!
Ullah*
Went to see the show in Birmingham last night, brilliant .
Thank you so much for uploading!
i love 1:41 because it just looks like the heat ray is having a moment or at least unaffected, like i know its an animation error but just imagine if the martians where watching it freaking out 🤣🤣🤣
bro im so disappointed at that part look at how they massacred my boy the Heat Ray
Jeff wayne is now coming to Dublin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like a marvelous show. The orchestration sounds better than the actual New Gen cd release. So much energy and bass! The visuals still feel sorta rough in a lot of places, but still looks like a blast.
Just an utter shame that he likely won't come back to Australia. Can only enjoy it from a far distance here on youtube.
Was surprised they even did this tour tbh! Feel very lucky. Hope you enjoyed
Some of the visual stuff is pretty decent.
I wouldnt expect Marvel levels of expensive CGI, obviously.
That twirling heat ray gun during Horsell Common is cringeworthy though. Lol.
I wish they would release this version though.
I wish this was a movie instead of a concert
Saw the show in Bournemouth last night. My seventh time. ULLA!
saw the 06/o4/2022 stage performance last night and it was so powerful I couldn't believe how they managed to pull it of with such professionalism. what an excellent show from all points of view. Given chance at my age I would definitely go again soon I Hope.
We wuz @ NEC Block C Row F on Thursday. Magic!
Thanks for this, it brought it all back ... but from the other side of the auditorium.
Nowwe can share a little of our experience with our (jelous) neighbours :-)
Watched this at the Bic center in Bournemouth Tuesday night with my son and it was fantastic a lot better than we thought it would be would see it again
any 1 else love the old ps1 & pc games from 98
they need to be remade + a full on action/scfi film
I saw this live in Nottingham was epic ❤
ULLAAAAAHHHHHH
I saw this at Leeds on Sunday night, was absolutely fantastic 👍
Amazing! Going to see this in Glasgow for the 6th time on Saturday⭐
I was there the same night. I was opposite where you're sitting. Can just about see myself! Fantastic night, thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for uploading 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing this
Thanks for this, me and a friend were also there (we were above you and slightly further to the left) It's the first time I've seen the show and I absolutely loved every minute of it and would definitely go again. It was such an honour to see Justin Haywood performing. I took a couple of pictures and a little bit of filming of the stage before they started and again during the intermission but I didn't film any of the actual performance so this is really handy to have and I will save it lol. One thing that doesn't really come across on video is just how loud it all was, I suffer from Tinnitus but didn't notice it at all during the show ha ha, absolutely brilliant.
No worries I’m glad you enjoyed :)
Yeah he was great! The only person in my opinion who should sing forever autumn
Legend
Was there in Nottingham, right at the back behind you! Superb show. Thank you for sharing, as could not see all the main screen from the back row... Need to see it again AND go to the Immersive show in London
I saw the first tour back in 2006 7 Wembley arena, magic stuff
I was there, loved it
Really nice video! Thank you!
Saw it in Glasgow, this show keeps getting better, the Hydro was the perfect venue. Loved the cast, but for me Kevin Clifton stole the show - I never thought anyone would come close to David Essex, but he nailed it.
Ha I too was at the Glasgow Show. Bloody brilliant XD
Don't suppose ya saw the girl on the bottom when the a new begining underground song played did ya? She wanted up there XD
so cool
Saw it in Cardiff yesturday for the first time. It was amazing! I blame my grandparents for my love of this iconic experience that I've wanted to see live since I was a child. Next up for me will be the immersive experience in VR!
I’ve been wanting to do the VR experience
Back in 2020 I had a plan to go to Surrey and see the sandpit (horsel common) then travel back to London and do the experience but then the pandemic happened
Do the immersive experience sooner rather than later, was brilliant but it won't be there forever
I watched in Cardiff....I enjoyed it...but wouldn't see it again....stunning sound and effects.
Saw this in Leeds 3rd April, absolutely fantastic, I can see why people have seen this more then once!! breathtaking hopefully I will get to see this again sometime 😁 x
Saw it in Cardiff last night with my family. Was totally blown away by it.
Seen it monday night at Brighton....Brilliant!!!!
23:13 ladies and gentlemen....Jeff Wayne!
It’s just occurred to me that 100 or 200 years from now there might be several generations of Martians descended from brave pioneers seeking a new life. Who knows what they will think of this. I hope they are not offended. I hope they listen to this and feel a little of what their ancestors felt when they looked at the night sky. A wonderrous display, but a galaxy that is full of terror.
Can't wait to see this at the O2! I've wanted to see this show for so long! I've never been to the O2 and I am a massive fan of Claire Richards so its going to be a brilliant night :)
you wont be disappointed
Seen it last night in Liverpool Kevin Clifton stole the show the show was magical
Saw it in Manchester last night. It was stunning, musically and visually. See it if you have the opportunity
I was there in the Audi hospitality suite.
Show was superb 👍
Brilliant
Saw it in 2012 and again at the NEC 2 weeks ago. I won't be going again. 6/10.
thx a lot !!
I’d like to see the inner workings of the Fighting Machine animatronic. Must’ve taken ages to get right.
Saw it in Brighton 28th march and it was brilliant, hope there will be a DVD come out
As I've said to a lot of people. Completely gutted to miss this years tour. Would of been my 3rd time seeing it too!
Appreciate the upload!
Thank you matey, I’m sorry you had to miss out!
Someone’s saying Im bad for uploading this, but one of the reasons I made it was for memories & for those who can’t attend! So I’m really happy you enjoyed :)
Thank you for the comment !
Stay safe !

@@cheeseburgervlogs I would do the same if I had went! Those memories would last forever!
Just couldn't take my 2 year old to see it! I think we would of ended leaving really early if we went!
@@cheeseburgervlogs Just seen your download festival videos! I'll definitely be checking them out too! Love that festival!
@@N4N0Recon Thanks ahah I have a big Bloodstock one in the works still from last year, going to be an hour long by the looks of it 😂
Hope you enjoy :)
I would love to be there ❤️
I should upload the videos I got tonight, the sound quality is bangin! 😁 Was such a great show!
Going to Leeds on Sunday, it looks brilliant!
Tonight in Leeds was brilliant!!
Why is the heat ray turret so funny in this version?)))))
It was a good show with good acting and special effects, sadly where we were sat in Cardiff the hologram of Liam Neeson didn't work as you couldn't see him due to the big screen behind and HG Wells was recorded not actually on stage but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
Amazing footage, I've just helped set it up in Leeds today
Cool stuff!!
@@cheeseburgervlogs definitely. I still haven't watched it live 😂 I'm hoping to catch a little tonight!!
@@daniellehebden4938 hope you do! Enjoy :)
Just back from Leeds, fantastic show.
Went to Nottingham to see this as well sadly our seat was rubbish last row at the top left. Couldn't see the back screen due to sitting in line with the small screen couldn't see that either lights and speakers at the top didn't even see the Martian only a foot come down. Spent most of the night watching the sound crew and actors back stage so didn't see much of the effects sadly. BUT music was fantastic would love to see it again but at least have seats in front of the stage😀 looks like you had a great view.
Yeah we could see how all the theatre effects were done form our angle too tbh, but the music is the reason I went can’t beat live music. Especially this masterpiece of an album!
Hope they do another tour !
Why did'nt they use the original Richard Burton narration??? Soo much better
+Yes, they're add so much new in it... But i still like Parson Nathaniel unused song)))))
No way it's back! To bad I live in the US.
Did they play that march at the beginning before eve of the war, or did they go straight into the eve of the war?
UUULLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAA
It's a total let down that they replaced Richard Burton's voice.
Graffiti on art.
I was there aswell
From Mars
going to watch this o2 ...london , saturday 9th april ....oh yes , / Check out the VR show in london VR experiance ...greta show , more ative , and Actors great xoxox
How was the new burning man effect? am looking forward to seeing the show April 1st Manchester 👽
There was a burning man on screen during “Horsell common & the heat ray” guessing that’s what you’re referring to?
Looked good, was very dark! (As in horrifying)
Showed the horror of the heat ray 100%. I was surprised by it!
@@cheeseburgervlogs as, darn it. I thought it was gonna be a live stage effect.
@@vicentehizon6202 the NASA guy at the end gets toasted by the stage fighting machine. But no actual man on fire
Saw this today at the O2 Arena; absolutely love the music and visuals save for the on screen stuff, far too dated!
Isn't the video of the performance illegal? Was anyone behind you disturbed by your screen?
Illegal? 😂 There’s no laws about filming.
No don’t worry I explained in the post in the WOTW group that there was a big concrete wall behind me and only family to my side so no one was effected. I also had it close to my chest, if it had effected anyone I wouldn’t have filmed much, if at all.
@@cheeseburgervlogs You are of course incorrect, there are laws surround this called Copyright, the performer owns the copyright and as such legally owns the performance.
By recording this and posting it online you have breached these copyright laws and the owner of said copyright can have your video removed and you could be subject to a prison sentence, a fine or both.
This kind of thing needs to stop, I and many others including the performers are sick of seeing device screens lighting up all over it being shoved into your view of the stage.
Leave it in your pocket and enjoy the show and let others enjoy it too…..we don’t need to see poorly shot video with bad sound all over UA-cam.
Thanks.
@@g4tch That’s very true about copyright, but if it was an issue it would have been taken down or the audio removed…
Like I said, no one at all was effected by me filming as there was no one behind me. Have you seen all the comments of people saying “thank you for sharing”? It’s really not that big of a deal.
If I had had a big camera right next to people with a flash on then yeah I’d 100% agree with you and would be annoyed too! Nothing worse than going to a gig and you can’t see the band because of phones.
But I didn’t, as explained in my first reply. The only person who could slightly see the phone was my Mum who loves the video so having a go at me resolves nothing as I haven’t effected anyone. If you don’t like poorly shot footage why are you even searching for them? Bit weird.
In fact the video might even tempt people to buy remaining tickets to other cities left on the tour…
I loved the show and have been defending criticisms that people have been saying about the show, I’m not an enemy here at all. Just a massive fan, who even waited out the back and met/Thanked Jeff Wayne for the fantastic show… in which he said thank you, smiled & signed my Mums poster.
I won’t reply anymore, I get what you mean but I really effected no one, I don’t make any money off this. Jeff actually would because he owns the sound so it’s a win win for him really.
Have a good day, hope you enjoy the show if you go see it
@@g4tch Copyright is a civil infringement, not a criminal infringement. No-one is going to prison for copyright, least of all posting videos on youtube. In fact, in the case of the War of the Worlds it's a complicated issue, as obviously Jeff Wayne has 'copied' the ideas of HG Wells. Apparently Jeff Wayne owns the merchandise rights in the UK and a few other places, but not globally.
I get your point with too many people filming theatre and concert events, sometimes it is just too much. I'd never do it because I go to see the show and enjoy myself, bugger everyone else! I can't understand paying £100 and then spending half the time filming it instead of watching it. However, I can't see Jeff Wayne suing anybody for posting UA-cam videos as it is free publicity.
In fact, there's a few videos I'm thankful for, when I've not been able to make a show or it has been too far away for me to travel to, and there's no official video, the youtube video is sometimes the only way of seeing it.
Saw this in Nottingham on 23rd March. I'm a huge fan but was very disappointed by the sound. 1/ it was deafeningly loud. 2/ the narration was eq'd to be incredibly shrill and toppy. 3/ the balance between narration and music was all wrong, the music being so loud that the narration was drowned out. Were the sound guys in the room? I'm afraid an amazing performance was really spoilt. We were pretty central about a quarter back from the front, a good seating position but my expensive birthday treat could have been so much better.
Did you happen to get the full scene of the spirit of man?
Got about 4/ mins worth of it, didn’t want to film too much.
Both singers were fantastic! Fav duo since the original 2006 tour
@@cheeseburgervlogsjust wondered if you had the spirit scene with the ghost but imagine you wouldn't have done but awesome video still
@@brandoncook7995 Thanks :)
From the side the ghost wasn’t too good as you saw the person jump down 😂😂 theatre magic !
But bet it looked great from further back !
@@cheeseburgervlogs I've just saw it it looks horrendous this tour, looked so much better when she walked away from him like last tour, or needs more practice defo lol.. and when he dropped the Cape was so random lol
@@brandoncook7995 😂😂 I liked the idea of it, but walking away would probably be better yeah
Why'd they have to use the Liam neeson version, the original was way better
