#NintendoSwitch #PrincessPeach #Mario - Ігри
My daughter is super psyched for this, she's been playing the demo over and over again.
Same with mine
Same with both of mine
Mine too!!!
lol we should start a club, we can grill some food, have some drinks, and let the girls play Showtime haha 🤣
As an adult with no kids, I’m enjoying playing this game for myself. I’m bad at Mario so it’s nice to have a spin-off I can play without struggling.
I dig the concept of Peach dressing up in various costumes and having different abilities in a hijacked theater. It feels like multiple Video Game Genres coming together in a spectacular love letter to The Princess.
But I will admit that some of Peach's transformations are better than others.
My daughter has replayed the demo at least 27 times (I can only count the times I was present for, possible many more on her own or with my wife) so I'd say even if the game was nothing but more of what the demo offered, it'd be worth it to her.
I still love how cute this game looks, thinking of getting it to play with my niece
It’s only a 1 player game sadly
The game looks so cute and charming. I find it so funny that there's always a spotlight shining down on Peach, even when she's supposed to sneak around unseen.
I just realised that Princess Peach: Showtime has the same opening scene as Tenet.
-We live in a Twilight world
-And there are no Toads at dusk
What?
Note: It doesn't.
Not really
i love that film
This game sounds like a better version of Balan Wonderworld
Now I can't think of anything else.
Amen!
It won't be able to top the sheer _majesty_ of the Box Fox though.
_"The costume transforms between fox and box when it feels like it."_
Princess peach showtime is better than Balan wonder-world i rather play peach game than that garbage game any day, balan Wonder World, more Balan nightmare world.
That is what it seems to be so far.
I love the reaction I get from my nieces and nephews when I call her Princess Toadstool
This 57 year old kid has pre-ordered. Looks like good fun!!
46 year old here, Day 1 buy.
yeah love you!!!
31 year old kid. Day one fo'sho~
44 here and pre-ordered.
38. My daughter and I will be playing this day one! Looks so fun!
Who else has watched enough Nintendo Life reviews that they're able to recite the intro together with Alex?
I've watched enough to know they're going to schill over every Nintendo first party game no matter how mid it is.
Got this game a bit early and played most of it tbh. Game is surprisingly solid imo. Don't make the mistake I did and presume the demo reflects the entire game. It's way more creative and engaging as you'd expect.
to be fair, a demo is supposed to give you a feel of the game, so if it leaves a bad impression you can't blame the person
@@markasscop I agree. I'm just letting people know the game is better than the demo would suggest
Good to know! Thanks! I loved the Nintendo DS Peach game and the demo for this game had me on the fence if I’d like this just as much. I’ll try it out :)!💗
Crazy experience for Princess Peach!
Good Feel is such an underrated studio. Their games are super innovative and look amazing.
This reminds me of classic platformers I played when I was a kid, with different designs for each level and minigames galore. Definitely will pick up!
This looks way better than I was expecting! Actually really want it now!
As someone who was a HUGE fan of the Super Princess Peach game on NDS, this looks exciting! Glad its really good.
0:01 Hey, it's _Back to the Future part III_ for the Genesis!
I love the design of the outfits and sometimes it's nice to have a nice easy game to play
Got my copy today!! Idk why they delivered it early but I’m very happy
Thank you for your contribution to the evil anto corporation that planned for world domination and built a nice big jail fortress for your family to be lived in
OMG where did you order it from?
@@MewpsyCat Just Amazon lol
"...written by the superb PJ O'Reilly 'and' adapted for video by me" That's the kind of linguistic team building that I like to see in my reviews.
While the demo didn’t necessarily sell me on the game, but it’s nice to see it review well! Might pick it up later in the year
Just starting it and it kinda reminds me of WarioWorld on GameCube. (just hopefully it's longer than WarioWorld). Very simplistic gameplay with barely any challenge but entertaining enough. Perfect for younglings and a fine distraction for adults.
Super Princess Peach on the DS was AMAZING!!!
Is a fantastic videogame ... so underrated =(
Agreed, I have great memories of that game! I hope they make another with that game style :) Princess Peach deserves many more releases💕💗💕
These games are the reason Nintendo still rocks.
Yeah I'm getting this game and don't give a crap what others think of me as an adult. These games just scream joyful fun :-)
now that i've played the game, it's honestly super fun! my only complaint with the game at all is that if you miss a sparkle gem, you have to replay the whole level without skipping any cutscenes to get it again. i definitely would have preferred something like celeste where once you beat a level you can restart it from anywhere to get any collectibles you might have missed. would definitely make some difficult sections like the second patisserie level much quicker to complete.
especially considering the way those collectables are listed in order looks EXACTLY like celeste
I’ll be buying this for my sister…
That I don’t have 😂
🤣🤣
This game is by the same folks behind Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Wolly World, Good-Feel, which explains the difficulty.
I'm getting it Day 1!
Played the demo, enjoyed and can't wait to see the rest of the costumes and whatever else is in store.
Hmm, I wonder when the review embargo dropped, I could never guess based on the exact upload time of this video…

@@ps4gamrr Think they were being sarcastic bud
@@ps4gamrr I would r/woooosh you but I'm not that kind of guy
How is this the one game without a second player assist mode. Between Stella being a perfect reticle character and the game being designed for kids, you'd think it'd be an obvious addition.
I agree. A big let down
And the second Player could be Toad
Have they fixed the fuzzy blurry framerate?
Hi: Please, could someone help me? No matter how fast I press B I cannot cookies cook fast enough to get all 3 collectibles you can get in that part of the level. What can I do? The max I've been able to do is only one collectible of the three possible before the zombies get to me.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this somehow wound up being the Switch’s bestselling game this year.
I dunno if I’m interested enough, it always looked relatively shallow and I’m reading mixed things on it; I’m glad the resounding consensus seems to be that it’s a lot of fun. Nintendo does fun like no other
Nintendo is all about the fun and in here for it
My only problem is its too short. Should be twice as long. Other than that its great!
Personally, I feel like saying this game is for children does it a disservice. I find it so cozy and fun. Its something that I don’t have to think too hard about when I’m playing and that’s so nice for my stressed out adult brain Lol
This game looks great, Im a 30 year old guy and have ordered a copy hoping it arrives tomorrow to play it through the weekend
Having just finished the game....I mostly agree. I wish there were more control customization options as it only lets you flip A & B functions with zero ability to say map jump to B & actions to Y for example. And I ultimately ended up hating the patisserie stages....the timing on the cake parts is really fiddly & constantly seems to not do what you want it to, and making the cookies to fend off the "zombies" in the 2nd stage just wasn't a fun time at ALL. Plus you can't skip cutscenes or dialogue and if you miss a sparkle or dress/ribbon, you have to replay the whole stage again. Overall still a mostly fun time though with a nice soundtrack.
This game is really amazing, and I can't wait to get this game soon sometime for the Nintendo Switch as well! Now if only there was ever a new game or something next starring Princess Daisy perhaps since Daisy should also get her own game next too just like with Peach.
Great review! I'm kind of interested now
need that Ninja Peach costume in Dauntless
Was sceptical but really enjoyed the demo. Nice, simple, chilled pallette cleanser of a game. Definitely picking up at some point.
Alex’s opinion was the one I was waiting for, as he didn’t seem too hot for it after the preview. But I’m very happy he is now onboard!
this feels like the kind of game that will skyrocket in price in the secondary market after Nintendo retires the Switch.
I guess the lighting explains the usage of Unreal Engine instead of Nintendo's in house engine. They probably needed better lighting to properly have a stage show vibe.
I was really hopeing that we were gonna get more details of the game like The Grape's backstory and all that.
Was waiting for this review
I was waiting for you ;)
I don't know man... Maybe the game gets better after the demo but I didn't find anything here that exciting. It's pretty obvious this was made to promote the main characters of the Mario movie, but that doesn't mean it didn't have to have more substance.
It plays throughout just like in the demo you can find the full game walkthrough on here if you search...really cute game and maybe something for your younger sib but not something I could get into sadly :/
@@piers6807game releases the same day as dragons dogma 2 and rise of the ronin lol
@@piers6807not everything has to be made for you
@@RachelXKnight666 And I'm ok with that? I didn't say it had to be made for me but I was giving feedback to the OP. Please read.
Everyone is talking about how they can't wait for their niece/nephew/young children to play this game, and here I am, a man in my 30s, considering buying it for myself.
No ones judging dude. Just do what you want. Screw what the world thinks. Your money, your choice.
So am I the only one here who kept seeing a Kirby game with a Peach re-skin? The costumes are basically the equivalent of Kirby's transformations (including one that's straight up the yarn mechanic from Kirby's Epic Yarn). That's not a bad thing, mind you. Kirby's great and I think Nintendo made the right call here.
Literally just finished Kirby & the Forgotten Land & the Peach demo gave me that exact impression! Similar game style
3:40 whoa ive already heard at least like three points that directly contradict ign.
So much Sailor Moon vibes. The teansformations as a crossover with Sailor Moon. Thief Peach gives me Tuxedo Kamen vibes.
Is there more costumes than the ones officially revealed?
We're Leaving the Mushroom Kingdom with this one
It's a kiddy game, and there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe not for me personally, but I'm sure it's gonna do alright.
I think that's the issue
@@murderman8578 what exactly?
Agreed
@@t.fernbach602 that it's a kids game and lacks broader appeal
@@murderman8578kids deserve games too
I really don't mind easy games but playing the demo I felt bored.
I don't know where it stumbled for me, I feel the experience felt too pre-authored and playing was a bit too much like just going through the motions.
I'd love to hear the game picks up more after that start.
It gets better
@@fritzthecat8158 Happy to hear, but could you elaborate?
I played the demo and it was just so fun honestly
I’ve got it coming looks like a fun game with nice graphics and a feel good game
🍑Peachy🍑
After playing the demo, call me skeptical about this one... I think we might be puffing it up a bit in this review.
I hope my soon to be 3 year old niece will try playing this with me when she visits!
Sooo excited to get this game!
How long is this game roughly? Does anyone know
I've heard on another review 8hrs
This is a must buy for me
Demo is really fun, however I will be passing on the full game until there's a price drop. Apparently you can beat the game in about 5 hours (10-12 hours if you go for 100%). I'm not paying $60 for a one day experience, sorry.
If it was $20-30, then I would 100% buy it on release. Til then, I'm waiting for a price drop, or will pick it up used off ebay a few weeks from now.
Good luck with waiting for the price drop. See you in 10 years or so. But even then its still probably priced the same.
@@WhatIsMatter101 Bought Super Mario Bros Wonder off eBay in November for bout $25. No reason I won't be able to do the same for this game lol.
Especially since this game is not nearly as well received as Wonder. I could easily see people selling it for $10 on eBay a couple weeks after it comes out lol..
I've never paid full price for a Nintendo game and never will. 😛
@@WhatIsMatter101 just thought I'd let you know I already snagged the game off eBay for $30. ♥️
May pick it up if it ever drops to $30.
it's a nintendo game so odds are it won't drop to $30.
let your daughter save up allowance and buy it herself, learning a great lesson.
You must be new: Nintendo never drops their prices even after decades later. They dont want their games becoming disposable.
@@wolfgar45maybe second hand physically at GameStop
This is like kirby and the forgotten land it's easy but fun
My 27 year old over here geeking about this game! Ive never been one to play alot of spin off mario games but showtime has is really fun?!
This feels like a game you want to watch someone play rather than playing it.
I can't wait to watch my daughter to play and enjoy this!!
So PJ is ok with this game being easier, but god forbid Mario vs Donkey Kong be aimed at a younger audience haha
Seems fun, but ABSOLUTELY NOT worth $60.
Really enjoyed the demo as a mid 20s dude. I would grab a copy of it, but not at full price.
Great! Now do the same for Zelda, would love a Shiek game.
Princess Peach fights a Kirby villain. I'm here for it.
Played the demo. It was fun. I absolutely would NOT pay full price for it though 🤷🏾♂️.
When you can be just about anything, you can't really do any one thing particularly well.
Thanks for the review. I was a tiny bit skeptical. I played the demo and enjoyed it. Now, I know this is a solid buy. Thanks so much!
My 5 and 7 year olds keep hogging the demo and I just want a chance to give it a try. It truly looks fun
I already got my physical copy, and so far it’s a 6/10 for me.
Yeah, it’s not close from Breath of the wild and super mario odyssey which are at the same price and has way more content. I don’t think the price is right the game is short.
This game was developed by Good-Feel. Don’t expect a lot.
I played the demo and I didn't care for the chef lv but the rest of it I enjoyed. My biggest concern is how long of a game is it? I'm tired of paying $60 for a game that takes less then 24 hours to beat.
I don't mind. Sometimes playing an shorter game is better than playing an over 24hr plus longer game.
So my take away is: A fantastic game, just not a game for me. My fiancée wants to get it though, so I hope she’ll like it!
Preordered it then dropped it once I played the cake decorating levels. They were a big turn off 😢
That was a pleasant review
Do you think the play time is comparable to a game like Yoshi’s Crafted World? That’s one of my favorite chill games to play, and if they’re similar, I’d definitely want to snag this one.
Gamexplains stream is about 8 hours
Actually love this.
I really wanted to like this game but I just wasnt impressed with the demo.
Interesting
how is there not multiplayer. I mean, there is Rosaaline, Pink Toad, etc. Multiplayer on these kinds of games is just hilariously chaotic. Doesn't even matter if you beat the level.
Only Nintendo has the balls to make a game and release it in the last week of the fiscal year and not compromise quality.
The GTA Trilogy DE and Cyberpunk were rushed for both holidays and before the first quarter of the next year they were relased. So cant help to compare them with this game.
Super Princess Peach was a proper adventure, ijs
I never did finish Super Princess Peach but as a 30-year-old grown ass man maybe I'll give it a shot😅
Nintendo literally went with the same concept as balan wonderworld but they actually made a good game worth the $60 price unlike balan wonderworld was when it came out.
Is there a Daisy cameo in form as a skin?!!! I wanna know the important stuff
Probably not.
So when is the next one??!!
Well I have two left hands. Could that be for me ? 😂
My 7 year old daughter loves this game. Worth it. ❤
Who needs IGN when you got Nintendo life❤❤
Im thinking on getting it for my gf to play
