@@bushratbeachbum He should have zoomed in as he did at 7:17. With the video so zoomed out, you can't tell the difference when Playing on UA-cam. You can set UA-cam video quality to 4k and you'll see that 5k is much better

I just tested this today myself, and to my surprise, yes you can! The downside is that it seems that it's always sending data back to their cloud infrastructure, so god only knows if they are keeping any of the footage or not (yes, even if you are not paying for it).

i bought two cameras because i saw this video. and i have to say i'm disapointed. First of all, this is not 5Megapixel it's just a cheap 720p sensor but upsacled to 5mp Also there's no seals on the camera so it's impossible this is weatherproof
@@Securitybros Sadly most of these security camera from Alibaba come with apps that might not work with Google Smart Hub. I might just go with the EZVIZ C3X that you have also review that seems to work with Google Hub.

@@Securitybros I had a camera sort of like this once where I was surprised to find that it was apparently impossible to make backup copies of video from the card, so you could *only* see them through the app and only until they got overwritten, no apparent way to get a segment of video from the recording onto phone storage or a thumb drive where it could play in a normal video player and not get overwritten. Is this one that way, or is there some way to actually extract the video to something other than just access through the app?
You should be able to just login to the web interface and disable "Onvif Protect", if not you will need to download the desktop software called VMS by Xiongmai (the company that makes the software and apps for all of those cameras)
@@knackrack615 sadly no 'Onvif protect' feature in the software for mobile and VMS. also no RTSP packets showing when using Wireshark. Onvif device manager only gets error 400 from the camera

I purchased this camera, but can't seem to get the WHITE lights to automatically turn on. My choices are White, Normal and Double Light Vigilance. None of them turn on the White lights when I walk in front of camera (in dark) Thanks for your videos.
It might be some setting in the app maybe. If you go to "Motion Alarm" then "Intelligent Vigilance" turn on humanoid detection and alert area and see if that works.
@@RemScanProducts Yes it worked when I tested the camera. I don't remember what settings but I think it should be Double Light Vigilance. If you log into the web interface and go to settings - system - camera param and make sure Smart Alert is selected in Day/Night mode.
Going to the affiliate link there are various sensor options A and B as well as different memory sizes. Is this merely including a SD card are is the sensor different?
Yes there is a 2MP and a 5MP version. And you have the option to choose if you want to buy with a included MicroSD card or not. If you already have a SD card laying around you can use that instead.

Hi, thank you very much for the video, it was very informative and persuaded me to purchase these cameras. I don't know if some of you are experiencing the same problem but my cameras keep going offline. It seems like they freeze up. The app notifies me to refresh but there is no refresh function that I am aware (once the camera is offline) and the only way to get it back online is to power down and restart. There is a reboot function but only if the camera is online. This makes the camera completely useless to me unless I can get a fix. Can anyone please help.
2:28 It sure records all the time on SD card, not only motion detection. Cloud is restricted to only motion detection videos, SD card isn't, you are wrong my man.
@@Securitybros I found out everything works with BlueIris except the two way audio. When pressing the mic button, the sound goes to my pc speakers instead of the camera. But the native iCsee iphone app works with two way audio, and also thru the web interface thru Internet Explorer, the two way audio works. ashame it does work that way with BlueIris. BlueIris detects it as a Cantonk brand.
@@Securitybros Thank you for the fast reply, unfortunately it doesn't work. I assume it has to do something with the ActiveX on the old browser that is not yet installed. I think I have seen something similar with a Chinese camera that was giving a wrong "username / password" and this was resolved only after installing IE ActiveX IE_Plugins.exe
Finally what fixed it: 1. Factory Reset from App 2. Factory Reset from the Camera (close to SD card) 3. Add the device again to the app and set the password. 4. The username is admin and password whatever you set during the join process. I am leaving this here to save time to someone in the future. Thank you

To be honest I don't remember anymore but as I said in the video I only manage to get the camera to record when motion was detected but reading some QA on Aliexpress they say it can record 24/7 on the SD card. Most cameras can record 24/7 on the SD card so I might have to check again when I got the time.

I wonder if this is another one of the cheap Chinese cameras where once they allegedly record to the SD card there is no way for the user to access the recording on the SD card except through the app, and the app can only view and delete, and then the recording eventually gets overwritten, and there is no way to get a copy to watch on a normal video player or store as evidence or review after the original is overwritten. It's a rather weird and infuriating way to design a system; I don't know if it's just a way to lure people in and then pressure them to buy an NVR too or what.

I just call all these Pan/Tilt cameras PTZ even if they don't have optical zoom. You can't really see on the outside if they have zoom so easier to just call them PTZ and everyone knows what you mean.

Yes that is how it's supposed to work but sometimes with these cheaper cameras it's a hit or miss.

Yes it works. I think you can find the IP address in the app or you can just log into your router and check the device list.

Yes the camera should continue patrol until you stop it. Maybe try do a factory reset and try again.

Do you know what the credentials are for RTSP? I couldn’t get it to display any footage with the credentials for webpage login

@@700gsteak i ordered this camera to check if i could use this for my home automation, using the RTSP stream. but couldnt seem to get it working, couldnt find any credentials or something else in the settings from the camera software to get this all working. It only gave me a black screen, the only thing that I could get are .jpg images when directly putting the camera IP in the browser.
So I abandoned the camera for use with MotionEye or Blue Iris

Using Onvif protocol you can without any problem. M not sure bout the ptz function but the stream will work fine. It also supports rtsp too
I purchased this camera, but can't seem to get the WHITE lights to automatically turn on. My choices are White, Normal and Double Light Vigilance. None of them turn on the White lights when I walk in front of camera (in dark) Thanks for your videos.
It might be some setting in the app maybe. If you go to "Motion Alarm" then "Intelligent Vigilance" turn on humanoid detection and alert area and see if that works.

@@RemScanProducts Yes it worked when I tested the camera. I don't remember what settings but I think it should be Double Light Vigilance. If you log into the web interface and go to settings - system - camera param and make sure Smart Alert is selected in Day/Night mode.
Does motion detection work or does the APP notify you?
Going to the affiliate link there are various sensor options A and B as well as different memory sizes. Is this merely including a SD card are is the sensor different?
Yes there is a 2MP and a 5MP version. And you have the option to choose if you want to buy with a included MicroSD card or not. If you already have a SD card laying around you can use that instead.

Why still doesnt have any zoom? All i know is the camera can do the zoom as well but on you unfortunately still cant yet . Maybe something wrong on your phone or anything else🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thank you for the review! I've bought the same camera but I can't manage to turn on the white LEDs. They do turn on when the camera boots, but that's all. I have selected White Light from the app but still nothing.

Hi, thank you very much for the video, it was very informative and persuaded me to purchase these cameras. I don't know if some of you are experiencing the same problem but my cameras keep going offline. It seems like they freeze up. The app notifies me to refresh but there is no refresh function that I am aware (once the camera is offline) and the only way to get it back online is to power down and restart. There is a reboot function but only if the camera is online. This makes the camera completely useless to me unless I can get a fix. Can anyone please help.
I have checked my internet (wifi) connection and it is very, very good. No matter where I move the camera, it keeps going offline.
@@aweearoo Maybe something with the camera then. Try use a Ethernet cable and see if it stops go offline. Maybe a factory reset will help.
2:28 It sure records all the time on SD card, not only motion detection. Cloud is restricted to only motion detection videos, SD card isn't, you are wrong my man.
does this camera work with BlueIris software?
Yes it should.
@@Securitybros I found out everything works with BlueIris except the two way audio. When pressing the mic button, the sound goes to my pc speakers instead of the camera. But the native iCsee iphone app works with two way audio, and also thru the web interface thru Internet Explorer, the two way audio works. ashame it does work that way with BlueIris. BlueIris detects it as a Cantonk brand.
Do you know the default username / password for http login? Nothing is working and Aliexpress doesn't reply.

@@Securitybros Thank you for the fast reply, unfortunately it doesn't work. I assume it has to do something with the ActiveX on the old browser that is not yet installed. I think I have seen something similar with a Chinese camera that was giving a wrong "username / password" and this was resolved only after installing IE ActiveX IE_Plugins.exe
Finally what fixed it:
1. Factory Reset from App
2. Factory Reset from the Camera (close to SD card)
3. Add the device again to the app and set the password.
4. The username is admin and password whatever you set during the join process.
I am leaving this here to save time to someone in the future. Thank you

@@petryrety Oh sorry about that, yes you are correct. To be honest I don't remember anymore but as I said in the video I only manage to get the camera to record when motion was detected but reading some QA on Aliexpress they say it can record 24/7 on the SD card. Most cameras can record 24/7 on the SD card so I might have to check again when I got the time.

I wonder if this is another one of the cheap Chinese cameras where once they allegedly record to the SD card there is no way for the user to access the recording on the SD card except through the app, and the app can only view and delete, and then the recording eventually gets overwritten, and there is no way to get a copy to watch on a normal video player or store as evidence or review after the original is overwritten. It's a rather weird and infuriating way to design a system; I don't know if it's just a way to lure people in and then pressure them to buy an NVR too or what.

Does the camera not show up in ONVIF Device Manager? If not you might need to connect the camera using a Ethernet cable.

In the app there should be device info or you can check your routers device list.
I also have Miseku cameras and they are very nice. I have no problem, I'm even thinking of buying 3 more for my villa. Recommend me a camera in the range of 100-150 dollars and have exactly the same characteristics of the cheap Miseku.I prefer it to be wireless.

Why is it called “PTZ” if it doesn’t have any zoom?
I just call all these Pan/Tilt cameras PTZ even if they don't have optical zoom. You can't really see on the outside if they have zoom so easier to just call them PTZ and everyone knows what you mean.
What is the wifi range
Not really sure to be honest. I would guess around 20-30 meters.
