I loved Elvis since 1956, now 80. I own all his movies and music. I still get a thrill seeing his videos, saw him 2 times in concert. He was more beautiful in person. I been to Graceland twice, and can't believe that in the new Elvis movie he says,"Nobody's going to Remember Me". Right? Like you can go anywhere in the world and they know who he is. Saw an Elvis tribute artist contest on line in India, that was a hoot. Thanks for keeping my man's memory alive.
Gorgeous Elvis in black leather. Sooo sexy and what charisma. Am a real fan and visited Graceland and Tupelo 3 times. Play his music every day. Cant pick a favourite Elvis song. Enjoyed your reaction
I have been a fan since 1956. I was 17 when the 68 aired on TV. I was so excited, and I cried off and on while I watched it. He was so gorgeous and sexy. I did get to see him in concert in 1972. I was 21 at the time. That was also exciting for me. I also think that the song "One Night " was his sexiest song. Oh yeah, I have been to Graceland several times because I only live 3 hours from Memphis.
...........46 years ago TOMORROW I was working the incoming phones for the Memphis Fire Dept(aka fire alarm office)we got a call from Graceland requesting an ambulance stat. within 2 hrs of the announcement of him dying at Baptist Hosp....we were getting calls from around the world wanting particulars. sad day for Memphians...and, a good portion of the world!
I have seen so many Elvis videos of this Comeback Special but this particular version of One Night somehow never registered with me. Absolutely fantastic from every angle.
The amazing thing about this is that as much heavier bands were starting to come out in this era, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, etc... This is AS HARD SOUNDING as ANY OF THE CLASSIC ROCK BANDS. These legendary SUPERGROUPS have NOTHING on Elvis or his band here or in the 70s. Elvis as a FRONTMAN was UNTOUCHABLE. He could have joined ANY of those supergroups and made them BETTER. And... almost ALL of the frontmen, even a guy like FREDDIE MERCURY or MIC JAGGER were HEAVILY INFLUENCED by Presley. Presley INVENTED the sounds and stage presentation of Rock and Roll. NOONE looked or sounded like him. And he never stole music like some claimed. He was an ARRANGER and he was able to merge music genres and cultures better than ANYONE. He turned the music business into a MUCH LARGER industry and ensured black songwriters GOT PAID. Elvis=Revolution.
My boy, my boy.... This special was really outstanding. I would have loved to be there. One of my favourites is MARY IN THE MORNING, but my list of favourites may have about 777+ songs 😅 Please do more Elvis! Thank you for this great reaction!💚🌞
Enjoyed your reaction. My introduction to Elvis was watching Blue Hawaii many many moons ago. Most Elvis fans will say that’s it’s impossible to choose a favourite as it depends on what day it is. It’s even hard to choose between the Elvis eras as there’s so much to like in each.
Thank you! I love Blue Hawaii! That, and Loving You are 2 of my favorite Elvis movies. We hope you subscribed. We're planning on adding more Elvis videos in the future, and would love to have you here for them. ❤
My dear Savage couple, I had to subscribe if for no other reason than to share how taken I was with not only your love for Elvis, but also each other. The capacity to love with great passion is not automatic and is difficult to explain such a love that feels almost spiritual. Watching you attempt to explain this human being to the world at large was almost painful to watch since I have been there as well. Rapid speech becomes necessary as your mind is trying to figure out which direction to go, what anecdote best explains him, what performance to suggest. I always stop myself just before saying that while I am experiencing Elvis, I somehow feel closer to God. Frequently, I walk away from such a conversation wondering, “do they think I’m crazy”, and then I ask myself, “Am I”, haha. So happy to know that there are at least two of us! Much respect to you both. ❤️
I grew up in and around Memphis…Elvis country!! Went to live Q&A as part of 2023 Elvis week just yesterday! It was awesome! The panel was Billy Smith, Elvis’s cousin and his family. Billy grew up with him, worked for him, lived at Graceland with him at times, and was with him the night before he died! 😭He has some awesome first hand stories! They also have a UA-cam channel that is a Q&A format!
I love this! I grew up on Elvis too, I was an 80s baby raised in the 90s but Elvis was a staple at my house and I've taken a deep dive into not just his music but his life and I've fallen head over heels in love with this man, he's changed my life for the better. Elvis brought me out of deep depression and grief this year I've come to know him more not just as the most gorgeous man or charismatic entertsiner but he has truly become my friend and big brother this year eventhough I've never met him I know him in my heart and soul by truly hearing him, learning of him and just seeing the effect he had and still has on so many! Love this keep doing Elvis!!!❤
I'm so glad Elvis was able to help you so much. He was such an amazing and inspirational man. I know he was a positive influence in my life. It's nice for me to see those of us who weren't around when he was know and appreciate him. I've raised my kids to know him, as well. That's how we keep his legacy alive. 🤘🏻🎶🖤

@@Savage-Reactions I'm an ELVIS fan through and through but I'm also not delusional and in denial. He didn't create rock. That's just pure facts. The article states he may have “modernized” it for white people and the masses. But you have little Richard and Chuck Berry coming out before straight up ROCKING THE HOUSE. That's just the truth. ELVIS 100% played a big part in normalizing it for all cultures to accept. I do believe if it wasn't for him it would have taken MUCH longer rock to become popular. “ I would never say Elvis didn't play a part, I would never say that. Because Elvis got white people to play Rock and Roll” - Little Richard

Great Elvis, still let's go easy with who created rock n' roll, cause he didn't do it alone, he just made it popular
