I like the two tone better personally plus having an all brown interior at the moment the parts they made black are the parts that get the dirtiest so I like that
Not me. … two tone is going for a certain market segment… And a certain age those of us that are a little bit advanced in age… see it as a cost saving feature feature.
Somewhat agree, but only 2 choices, all of which have a green accent (which is ok because I actually like the green exterior too) but is still limited, and only 1 wheel option is kind of a bummer, but oh well, these SUV's are pretty incredible.
That's an awesome shot for perspective! For me I can honestly say the shape of the 550 is much more appealing!!! I had wanted to see both side by side and you did it!!! I can't wait to see the 550 in person.
@@MikeForsythe Just curious. Now that you have seen the 550 up close in person, did you get to drive it? Would you still choose the LX 600 over the GX 550? I have a GX 460 and I'm contemplating the LX 600 and The GX 550.ave decided to sit still until I really get a good look at the 550. Also i regret not having purchased the LX 570. Might even do that if i find the right one. I just love the V8 engines.
@@MikeForsythe I understand and i look forward to an honest opinion on the difference. I know for a while there my local lexus dealer did not have a single LX that could be test driven on the road. I had a chance eventually to test drive the LX 600 F sport. The salesman was surprised when told him that I thought my 22 GX 460 drove smoother than the LX. Honestly I think it could be the tire size difference, I have never been a fan of larger rubber but people seem to be all about 22's and 24's !!
I saw the GX 550 at the OC Auto Show and wasn't too impressed. The interior is similar in space to a 4 runner or the existing GX. The paint color was the Incognito and doesn't really pop particularly with the exterior design. Other colors might make this car more appealing though. I'm thinking the atomic silver or even the darker colors or the white. Lastly, the wheels with the asterisk are sorta blah. I wanted to like this car yet need to see other color variations. Also, comparing the interior of the LX 600 - the GX is sorta blah also. Maybe it's just me or it's the color. Also realize it was probably a pre-production model at the show. Finally, being a bit old skool OG, I'm in no need for another computer especially in a car you drive to escape being in cubicle land and a big computer screen being 14 inch doesn't let a driver escape the digital world!
3rd row is an option. Not on all grades. It folds flat so if you don’t need it you can keep it down. For some it is great if you have kids or taking a short trip somewhere.
They'll bring it to parity on luxury features and tech, then use the VIP to differentiate it. They just made a century SUV i don't think they're done with Luxury SUV buyers.
LX interior is outdated and tired and Germany rivals has upmarket and premium interior 🔥 👌 Please Lexus remove sunroofs is outdated now. Panoramic roof looks upmarket 👌
2 color seats on GX takes away from the interior imo. solid brown would have been incredible

I also like the two tone

Thanks for the feedback. I have a LX 600 and i figured people would want to see side by side. Got lucky they were parked together by Lexus.

@Cocora22 yes drove it and over the obstacle course. I can’t comment on driving until Lexus gives me the go ahead and I respect their wishes!

I do have 24s lol… if you look around my channel i have videos on it. I love it
Lx all day long- gx took a step backwards in Lexus luxury.
Both look awesome, someone tell Lexus to offer even one of these in the UK.
I thought that was a new wheel from Lexus on the LX! Thanks for sharing Mike💪🏾
You are welcome!
Nice! Hey Mike does the GX uses premium fluid as well?
I’m certain it will.

Thanks for this sneak peek of that new GX550 brown interior. Disappointed there is no real wood option but the fake wood doesn’t look too bad.
It’s barely even noticeable. But am a bit shocked it does seem like plood
This is just fantastic! You got any luxury+ walkaround?
Hi I have more content coming. I can’t really say exact grade levels since they are all prototypes and some things might be off.
They got that purple RX from the reveal. They better take that wrap off if they won’t actually offer a oem purple. I want a dark purple GX550
What color is that LX 600 Ultra Lux?
Caviar
Awesome videos, thanks man

Which car do you prefer and why?
My complaint is why place three rows in these suvs

@@MikeForsythe is the luxury & luxury + 2 row
The GX is going to make the LX irrelevant. I don’t see the LX lasting another generation on sale in the US.
I dunno I love my 600 F Sport. And i know i’ll see none of them and 500 of these a day lol
And just because the gx is a dime a dozen is plenty of reason to get an lx

pano sunroof on the luxury models, not these overtrail versions due to flex

I wonder how the frames are different. Lx should be stronger. They both look same size
Technically they're the same: TNGA-F - which is why the lengths are similar.
