@Wallymakesstuff I am working on cutting the brackets out, and as I am lowering the wheel, I realized.... how can someone not just take this spare? Lol. I bought an ignition key padlock to use the existing chain to lock up the wheel.. I may add another chain with padlock.
Even if you can get 33’s in a 4Runner that would be sick. There’s some neat pizza cutter options for those too. If you have the v8 though, hell yeah, go 35’s!
@@dannyumana143that’s 2.25” wider than stock, so I’d suggest measuring that down from where your factory tire is and see where it sits. It probably won’t be the lowest point on your vehicle, but you’d just want to remember what the clearance looks like when going over big obstacles
Slick that you could clear 35s by just removing a couple brackets. I'll have to climb under my 4runner and see if a similar mod is possible.
did you add any locks to avoid thieves from taking the spare?
Dude, thank you for saying this!!! I will be now…
Looks like my custom rack blocks access to drop the spare. And it locks shut with a really beefy lock. So, I guess it’s locked up inadvertently 😂

@@Wallymakesstuff nice luckily the rack protects it
@@dannyumana143yeah dumb luck 😂. I’ll take what I can get.

any issues with clearance when off roading?
None whatsoever- however these are 255 narrow 35’s. So they protrude less than stock 265 32’a
@Wallymakesstuff I have 35s with 12.5 width. You think I'll be okay?
