How To Sew A Pencil Holder Bookmark

It's back to school time and I have a fast and easy project that your students will love! Today I show you how to make this pencil holder bookmark that will keep your page in your text book and also hold your pencil and pens so you will always be prepared for class!! Thanks! I was looking for something different than the standard fabric bookmarks. This will be Perfect for my friend's school-age kids. I did not sew the middle seam in the pocket, as I don't know what size pencils, pens, or highlighters they prefer.

It appears that he has sandwiched them incorrectly. The folded piece needs to have the seam at the bottom. Not in the middle of the project.

Uh, it’s not incorrect at all. If he did it like you think he should have, the top of the pocket would be left loose. The stitch is supposed to be there. It keeps it tight and tidy. But by all means, make your own your own way.
