I see you´ve adapted to the Internet very well, knowing the secret way to everyones hearts - cats! :D well but on a more serious note - I´ve come to realisation that the world really is, in its evertything, mathematical since physics is mathematical and every kind of movement is a play of forces that are, in their action and reaction, measureable and mathematical. Taking sound waves (individual recognizable, sustained pitches as opposed to noise that has no symmetry) and their symmetry on a piece of stable material as a basis (lets say grains of sand on a vibrating metal plate) they begin to bounce and push each other away, visualizing the sound wave and giving way to each other only as much as the next piece of sand lets it. So we get a kind of symmetry from forces balancing each other out. So to tie that to the Africa example and considering Earth is a big sphere with a liquid center and floating crust, maybe even taking into consideration the spin and rotation of Earth, it might be possible that the continent of Africa has somehow positioned itself according to the Golden Mean thanks to other forces resisting it. But wait, I can go even further with this rant! Looking at the picture in the video, we see that the horizontal line which ties both sides of Africa together is actually the equator! And the Mean curls up to approximately where Timbuktu is - the mysterious and famous centre of education, science and arts that was in the Medieval period especially known for its knowledge in mathematics and astronomy! Also, humans have inhabitated that place since the Iron Age. ... Well I think thats about enough flight of imagination for one day :) Thanks for the video in any case!
