Flying the nest family were recently in the Dolomites area. They absolutely loved it. All the chair lifts and different places you can stay and see as well.
Great video! I visited Tirol many times with my parents as a little girl! This part of Italy is simply stunning! Those shrines you saw on your way to the Ministry are virtually everywhere... Your lasagna looked awesome! Thanks for sharing your beautiful tours; I'm really enjoying watching them. Brings back fond memories of my life in Europe, now residing in Australia ❤
Hey Nigel and Sue, what a top video, Coen and I both enjoyed it, such beautiful little towns without the hassle and bustle, and the scenery. The Dolomites are amazing, offend see them in cycling races, they are truly amazing, and the country side was so green. Coen was salivating watching Nigel eating his speck, and how you eat those pizzas, they were huge. All in all another interesting look at the world through your eyes, thank you both for sharing, stay safe, Coen and Jay
Absolutely spectacular scenery, I am so looking forward to seeing the Dolomites. Great video, 😊 there are some pretty stunning places in Italy , that’s for sure 😊
@nigelandsueadventures if you go to Ortisei go to the Seiser Alm side of the mountain, there's a great slope for you that you can stay on all day and Nigel can ski a rondje en terug komen bij jouw. Veel plezier is de beste plek in de wereld om te skiën
The mountains are so beautiful and grasslands so verdant. The whole village is very picturesque. Loved this episode very much. Some decent amount of walking required to appreciate all the views!
Hi Nigel and Sue, you guys are gonna be super fit walking around on those hills. Thanks for the wonderful video I always enjoy the videos., keep enjoying yourselves lots of appreciation Cliff from Logan City, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 I’m on the big island 🏝️
Fab episode, So scenic. Food looks good especially your Omnia lasagne. I had no idea there was a German speaking part of Italy. That hike was fabulous, so historic and fascinating. Keep enjoying!
Yeah it's so fascinating. There's also a part where they speak a language called Ladin (not Latin) which is an ancient Romance language. We met some people speaking that language.
This is beautiful and the Campground right there in the middle. I'd say 39 Euro a night is a bit expensive, but worth it for the location. Love Nigel's drone footage, so beautiful. Thanks for sharing 😊
Great video as usual. I watched it again for the cooking as I want to try your recipe for lasagna in our Omnia Oven. We might try it at home as we fortunately have a gas stovetop. We will let you know how it goes.
Look forward to hearing about it! Just don't make it too runny. That was my mistake. (but, I guess it needs to be runnier if you're using dry lasagne sheets)
Nigel will know the aviation warning about clouds with rocks in them. Well, there they are. Living proof of the saying. Beautiful scenery. Thank you from Sunny Canberra, Australia.
2 hrs walk per pizza they reckon to use the calories up. There are no calories in beer, only goodness. Love Nigel's impromptu dance. Give'em a taste of kiwi..... Great views. What an amazing place to visit. Thanks Nigel & Sue for another great video. Can I ask where you got your Omnia from - I need to get myself one of those.
Jeepers we’re going to need to do a little of walking! I do like your theory about beer though. It was such a surprisingly beautiful part of Italy. Thanks for watching!
Education for me. I knew there were mountains in Northern Italy but didn't realize how much it socially looked like Austrian (other than the Italian spoken obviously)
Trentino-Alto Adige Sudtirol is a region not a province, where over 1 milion people live of which just 300.000 in the province of Bolzano / Bozen Sudtirol are german speaking, the rest are italian speaking people (and ALWAYS have been). Province of Trento has over 500.000 people which are almost entirely, and have always been even under the austrian empire, italian speaking. The province of Bolzano is majority german speaking but the city of Bolzano is today about 73% italian speaking due to forced immigration. One should also remember that bavarian colonists "germanized" this area during the middle age with force, as they did in the sudetes or elsewhere in europe. Until 1700 for example valleys like Val Venosta were still mostly Ladin speaking. The original inhabitants are the Ladini which are a reto-romance speaking group whose language is similar to the Friulana language in northern Italy. For the rest the dolomites are not just in Sudtirol, but also in Veneto and the Italian alps have similar architecture, customs and climate even in zones where german is not spoken.
We actually met Ladin speakers when we were up at Seceda - we were chatting to them about their language and growing up in that area. Very interesting.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Such incredible views. The lasagne looked yummie! 👍🏻 🙌🏻😊
Oh my gosh this trip just gets better and better. Thank you for sharing your journey. Just incredible
I know, it’s so spectacular! Wait till next week 😱
Great small village, scenery and cooking lesson! Thanks for taking us along once again. Bill Mc

Thanks Jeanie, we looked forward to the Dolomites so much, and they didn't disappoint. There were a couple of surprises there though!
I ski at least once a year in those mountains, they make me feel so insignificant, most beautiful place in the world.
We are dying to go ski-ing! (Well, Nigel is - I mean I'm keen but I am the world's worst skier - its the bunny slopes only for me!)

The mountains are so beautiful and grasslands so verdant. The whole village is very picturesque. Loved this episode very much. Some decent amount of walking required to appreciate all the views!
It’s incredibly green. Never see that colour in Australia!
@@nigelandsueadventures It must be a special type of grass! Very hardy too with the snow coverage it would receive!

Thanks 👍 Cliff! I think we balance out the walking with all the 🍷 and 🍕 though!!

Absolutely stunning! xx
So beautiful isn't it!
Haha... Thanks heaps for the good "las-agg-nee" laughs 😅
He’s a shocker isn’t he?
😅
Absolutely amazing Nigel & Sue. We love Italy. Thank you for sharing. For a 3 month trip would it be better to buy a camper or hire. ❤
Colleen I think for 3 months it wouldn’t be worth the hassle of buying and selling again. It’s not that easy as a non-European.
Fantastic work guys. Thank you ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! 🧡

It’s so beautiful! And yes, 39 was a lot, the most we paid anywhere so far

Looks like the best lasagna ever. Great job.
It was! Can’t wait to try that one again.
nice beer garden
The atmosphere was great too!
Woohoo you made it to the best part of Italy! 💯💯
And it doesn’t even feel like Italy!!
@@nigelandsueadventures Yep, and finally some proper food, no more pasta, pizza and gelato 😅😅
Education for me. I knew there were mountains in Northern Italy but didn't realize how much it socially looked like Austrian (other than the Italian spoken obviously)
Flying the nest is on you tube. A young family from Australia.
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
Alto Adige also known as South Tyrol. Trentino also known as Trentino
Wow love to have the recipe please
We are thinking of making a recipe book!
That will be wonderful 😊
Amazing from my armchair!
Thanks Alison, glad you enjoyed it!
Total envy. You realise that the Giro goes through and UP through those Dolomites? Aren't you lucky you're in Poss.?
Omg 😱 so lucky! We saw someone riding up to Tre Cime and thought that was impressive until we saw it was an e-bike!
hows the van going?
The Poss Poss is loving the mountains!
The peaks look fake - like added in. Amazing shapes and look. The French Alps' drive is supposed to be spectacular too.
You’re right, they don’t look real! It’s so amazing when the clouds roll back
