During the video you had mentioned, in passing, that your airbags needed to be fixed next. I got a recall on my 2013 Avalanche for the passenger side airbag. I’m taking it in next Monday. Just an FYI.
@@outDood705 call in to your dealer and ask about the recall, you don't need to wait for them to find you. I'm getting mine replaced Monday on a 2008 suburban I just got that did not yet have it replaced.
I just watched another vehicle and in that vehicle after replacing the sensors you have to run thru the RESET procedure to eliminate the warning message which also enables the sensors. Sensors will not function until the RESET procedure is run. You can probably find the RESET procedure in the owners manual because it is used for other purposes like after changing a flat tire, etc. Hope this helps.
This is a module for an airbag under the front passenger seat. When kicked by a passenger in the second row, it triggers that service airbag. Try going under the passenger front seat and move that thing, the light will go away.
@@JayD-im7fn Hey Jay you are very correct. I have turned the airbag light off a many times by moving that module under the front passenger seat. 2013 Suburban. Now I got a recall too. Wondering ... Do they change this exact module or something else like under the dashboard? Did you take yours for recall?
You have to reset your service park assist code after replacement use a OBD2 CODE TO RESET OR DISICONECT YOU BATTERY TERMINAL POST FOR 15 MIN THEN CONECT YOUR BATTERY THEN TRY AGAIN
I left the cars off car battery out all night and it didn’t reset the system. It’s not even checking to see if the new sensors that I put in work. It just gives us setting service parking system error on the display.
My sensors aren't working at the moment and I saw in several videos to use WD-40. The WD stands for "water displacement" and it's possible that if the car sits outside in the rain or goes through a car wash that water could be getting into it. So hopefully the WD-40 will do the trick. Also in another video I watched some guy disconnected his battery, counted to 50, reconnected, and it worked. I hope this helps.
It's nearly impossible that all 4 sensors get broken. I would for sure investigate the cabling or the car parking sensor module where they are connected. So, they were cheap, but the problem is elsewhere and therefore that's a 100% money loss.
Just wondering...did you check the 10amp fuse located in side the driver side door. For my 2013 Avalanche it is position 20 on the fuse box. Did you check that fuse?
make sure the new sensors are SEATED firmly, then check the wiring, then ask your mechanic for a diagnostic test for your electrical wiring. that should solve your problems. if all else fails take it to a dealer, unfortunately
I think the module is located on the passenger rear side or the right rear side in the bumper I’m gonna try to see if they have a reset pin on unplug it see if I see any damage Dining Room table light
@@outDood705 you need to get a code reader They’re cheap and will come in handy when u fix your airbag as well Simply connect the code reader into computer then reset the error codes that will come up with the parking assist error
@@outDood705 did you try taking the battery cable off for 5 minutes and then reconnecting it? that usually resets things. I had a body shop mechanic show me that trick. it worked when he did it!

You need to have scanner to reset the park assist. Without a scanner you’re unable to calibrate.

Spray all eight sensors with some WD40 and then wipe it off. I don't imagine it will hurt anything, and it helped me.
Ok ir lrs but they are new sensors but I will try that. Thanks
Yup. I had the same problem today and the WD40 fixed the issue. Perfect!
