    I added cardamom pods to mine for that traditional sawine flavor. Did not use the whipping cream cause hubby is dairy sensitive so that would have been a bit too thick for him. Did not have star anise but I did use everything else and it was delish. You are really great at what you do. Thanks for sharing with the world. Xoxo Maurissa from Trinidad.

    I liked your method on this recipe. I made it using ghee instead of butter and added cardamom pods along with your combo of spices. Amazing!!!

    Thank you, never used ginger in mine and will give it a try. Also no one in house has peanut allergies so I use a bit of crunchy peanut butter and it gives it a nice nutty taste. Great recipe...

    Natasha hi. Looks interesting! I wonder if this can be prepared with any other small shaped pasta?

    • @LoLiTsAlExhaha
      @LoLiTsAlExhaha 4 роки тому

      I’m no expert but you could probably try angel hair or maybe very thin spaghetti

    • @Amanda-xw5mi
      @Amanda-xw5mi 4 роки тому

      Probably not. Vermicelli definitely has a different texture and taste to pasta. I mean you can try but it won't be the same.

      Vamazelli is how the guyanese say it

    • @crissidoll
      @crissidoll 4 роки тому

      Oh okay, i had no idea. I grew up (in Trini) calling sawine & vermicelli interchangeably.

    • @MolyBDenum-lh3wy
      @MolyBDenum-lh3wy 4 роки тому

      I was thinking that too but she did say it correctly in the video..I'm guessing she put the Guyanese term so that part of her audience will know what she's making! :)

    Why cherries? Worse ingredient for this recipe and sweet rice. Firstly it tarnishes everything and spoil the flavour
