I have found the ads on FB to be mostly useful. As I enjoy cycling, for example, I have discovered a lot of useful cycling-related ads and have ordered some of the products as a result. So, I wouldn't pay to get rid of them.
At one point I thought about UA-cam premium, but then I realised that it doesn't block all of the ads, because so many creators have sponsorship deals in their videos.
@ATandreithomasIsGAY For 4k movies, I prefer purchasing a 4k Bluray. Support the people that make things, higher quality than streaming, no recurring fees and it won't disappear when some contract between the creator/distributor and streaming service ends. The only thing that irks me is unskippable multilingual copyright notices. It's the one thing that pirates don't have to watch! It's ironic that anti-piracy practices mostly benefit pirates.
I block all ad's and support the creators when possible. I know that these platforms rely on money to function, but I also know that an ad before a YT short is criminal! I would almost bet that people would be more inclined to donate to a creator that didn't interrupt their videos with ads.
Too many channels have sponsorships, so I really don't want to pay for UA-cam premium and still get the adverts, and I certainly don't want money I pay to the platform going to creators who have sponsorships on their channels. As long as these channels form part of my UA-cam viewing, premium is basically pointless.
@@martineyles Yep. It's a hard line to walk though because creators need to be paid for their time/efforts.. but.. I stopped watching television because I realized how much time was wasted consuming ads... And I don't want that to trickle over to the internet. Feels like the 90's browser ad popup era all over again... Just with video ads now.
If you are still doing Star Wars talks or discussions or commentaries or whatever, please upload them to UA-cam if possible. I remember once you mentioning you do some on Twitch, but I don't use Twitch so I never get to see them. I miss your takes on the galaxy far far away. If this is not a possibility for whatever reason then I understand, I just thought I'd throw this plea out there. Thanks for your time.
I honestly wouldnt pay to have it ad free , make no sense to be ad free , let look at Cable TV was at first pay Local tv Attnea and sense we paid it was for the most part in the being ad free as was Streaming services now even those we consider premium services like Netflix disneyplus and other have ads :) in the end they will start charging and i ntoe end find a reason to toss then ads back in .

As much as I detest Ad’s, I will still never pay to get rid of them.
I pay for youtube premium. You can always adblock, but it's nice to be able to fund creators. I've dipped on all other social media.

No. I have an adblocker. I don't mind UA-cam or Twitch ads though
No but considering paying to not see UA-cam ads. Do you pay for UA-cam premium?
No. Not interested in ads, or paying. When I am advertized at, I am much more likely to avoid the product or service.
Redbull or coffee where do you get your energy 😊
But we pay for youtube 😊
