RECIPES:
The pizza crust has 5 ingredients: Psyllium husks, almond flour, Lupin flour, heavy whipping cream, and a single egg. Blend the egg in a bowl, then add 1 tbsp of almond flour, 1 tbsp of Lupin flour, and one tbsp of psyllium husks. Add 2 tbsp of heavy cream, and mix together. Place the mixture on a plate, or you can use round silicone baking mats, like I do, and then microwave for around 90 seconds. Peal the crust off the mats, and then start adding your pizza ingredients. Start with a light coating of pizza sauce, or any lower carb tomato sauce. Then add cheese, some kind of meat, and other items. In this case I used black olives, and some spinach. Often, I like to use green pepper slices. Then I coat it again with a layer of shredded cheese and put it in an oven pre-heated to around 450 degrees for 12 minutes. And voila, you have a nice little personal pizza that tastes just like… well pizza.
Making the ice cream is the very definition of simplicity - just 3 ingredients: heavy whipping cream, allulose, and around 2 tbsp of vanilla extract. I use 1 pint of the heavy whipping cream, 7 tbsp of allulose, which helps the ice cream to stay softer in your freezer. With other sweeteners it will freeze like a brick. Blend the three ingredients together in a fairly large bowl with a hand mixer for as long as it takes, usually around five minutes, and you have a low carb version of ice cream. Then put it in the freezer and take it out when you need it.

Believe this man ,he saved me ..I was not doing to well until i found Dennis's chanel...he knows his stuff peoples ❤
Sooo true. He help me too. AMEN TO THAT.
@crysdavis7815 yes mam helped myself understand this disease and win 🙏
Dennis may be the top advisor in the world about Type 2 Diabetes. For Type 1 go to Dr. Richard K. Bernstein.
You speak for a lot of us my dear friend
When I lived in AZ I was on the states Medicaid, and had type 2 diabetes. The state of AZ said I was only entitled to 1 test strip per day.
That is how out of touch our healthcare policies are. I am now free of my type 2.
I am 60 on jan 2024 my a1c was 7 , start cutting carbs salads for dinner 90%of the time checked my a1c july 3 2024 and it was 5.6 . Thanks for ur coaching and teaching
Great job!
Unfortunatly all the pizza chains put a good amount of sugar in the sauce as well as the bread. The way you make it is fantastic
Thank you, Dennis. I don't say this often enough. You are doing the Lord's work not only in spreading the Word, but in helping people live longer, healthier lives. God gave you a gift and you seem to be making the most of it in helping others. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Dennis, this is amazing! I cannot thank you enough for giving me hope of being able to eat pizza and ice cream again. I've just lost 30 pounds using Ozempic for my diabetes for several months, after my insurance company no longer paid for Victoza. I hated the terrible Ozempic side effects and with my doctor's permission, I came off it. My blood sugar numbers have stablized at either non-diabetic, or pre-diabetic levels. The whole time I was on Ozempic, I ate low carb, but not once did I have pizza or ice cream. I am extremely excited to have hope that I can maintain these levels for the rest of my life. You've made me want to cry for joy! Diane
That's wonderful!
Outstanding Commentary!!! Priceless!!! Thank You!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for doing this test!
This was a wonderful test. Thank you for helping thousands of diabetics with your common sense using glucose testing.
good to have you back.
with your help I've lowered my A1C of 15 to A1C of 4.9 in 3 months
thank you
WOW! That is fantastic! Congratulations!🎉
Great! I love hearing this type of result.
@@jobrown8146 I will check back in a year to let you know how Im doing. And see if I can keep it up
Started off Low Card for the first week
Went to OMAD for the second week
Then went carnivore for a week
then went to 36 hr fasting for 2 months
thanks again
🥀🪻🥀 Dennis and Mike, my besties! 🥀🪻🥀
It's a addiction to sugar! Dennis has helped me learn and yes I reversed mine down to A1c of 5 🙏 to Dennis! Wealth of information from this man.
That’s wonderful. I got mine down from an A1c of 11 to 6.3 and my insurance company still would not cover me because they said once a diabetic always diabetic there’s no such thing as a cure for type diabetes. They still will not cover me.
That's great. How high were you at your worst A1c?
@beatdiabetes3 we texted on here before but I understand all the messages you get. It was 7.3 when diagnosed back 2023. I watch every video still to this day you put out.
@@slugo915 Awesome!
Good job Dennis you got a handle on the Diebetes problem. Thanks for sharing your adventures with Mike.God Bless. 👍
Greetings from Ethiopia. That was very helpful. Thank you, Dennis.
Glad it was helpful!
Well I did it.
My blood sugar at hospital was 950 three months ago with A1C of 13.3
Had A1C yesterday and I was average 110 with A1C of 5.5.
Thank you to your videos and helping with food . I completely changed my diet and enjoy what I have been eating.
I am excited to hear my doctor who said she doubts I will have a normal A1C for quite a long time if I do.
Wow! That is fantastic! Well done. I'd love to hear more.
Can give you my meal plan and experience anytime@@beatdiabetes3
Hi from Trevor in Rossington England still watching keep up the the good work thanks for your time
God bless you, Brother Dennis and Benedicta!!
Love your UA-cam tests! 😊
AMAZING, Mr. Denis!
Thank you so much!
This is what I really like the most about your videos, when you do these test on foods before and after to learn about our sugar spikes.
God bless you!
P.S.
We miss the funny sketches with beautiful Ms. Benedicta!
All my love and respect for her!
You are the best Dennis. I wish could get my daughter to watch you. She was just diagnosed with Type 2. Her sister and mother told her just to listen to her doctor and dietitian. Not to fast or skip a meal.
Amen to Beat the Diabetes
Just today I discovered a low carb ingredient to put into chaffels that makes them absolutely delicious. I crumbled an ice cream cone into the mix with a little cashew milk for moisture. The less egg you use, and more cheese, turns them into crispy, chewy craving killers. Feel free to use this tip in a video. Love your videos. It's the regular cones without sugar. $2.00 per box, 3 carbs per cone.
Yes yes quinoa and sweet potatoes I avoid like the plague and all because of Mike. Very grateful Dennis for your commitment to helping people🙏🏿
"Because of Mike" - Absolutely!
Dennis, great and delicious looking video. I definitely am going to save this video. I am going to buy all these ingredients now that I have moved into my new apartment in Montana less than a week ago. Our local Walmart Supercenter here has so much Keto ingredients and products. Love it! Thanks for another great video my friend!❤❤😊
I’m writing this down!!! Thank you so much!
Dennis, you saved my life. I discovered my prediabetes when I landed in the ER for high blood pressure and blood work was done. My random glucose was 209. At the follow up with my PCP, I had to insist on an A1C test. I was at 6.0. I then followed your recommendations and my next A1c test was normal. I eat keto/low carb, mostly plant-based. Yesterday, I decided to through caution to the wind and ate an entire cup of steamed white rice. My glucose shot up to 248 which is terrifying. I will test my A1c again next week, and it likely will be in the normal range even though I am very much metabolically impaired. More people should have access to tools and data to know what is happening in their bodies so that diabetes can be prevented.
Thanks for sharing!
A1c should ne checked every 3 months.
@@sophiazukowski7518 next week will be 3 mos. for me.
Excellent!
Glucose is glucose. Sweet potato and quinoa are mostly glucose. Your liver makes all the gluvose you need. Any you eat is extra and has to be stored as fat or burned before the body can return to normal business. When you are type 2 diabetic, this takes a long time and does not go well. If you are type 1 it is a dance with death. If you eat glucose constantly, your body is always in distress and never gets around to normal business.
True. Everyone should get a glucometer for their 20th birthday and learn to use it like Dennis teaches. Can you imagine what this would do to the pharmaceutical companies?
My niece went to the hospital. Found out she was type 1 . They gave her lots of high carb foods . Then shot her up with insulin. 😱
Thanks for another excellent video on beating diabetes.
Thank you so much Denise for helping me beat diabetes. God bless you richly.
And will absolutely verify, when I first found out about the A1C number, went and bought a glucose reader, and it was 300+ 24/7. Had no clue.
Scary to see it in real time, like it NEVER comes down.
Kill the carbs that kill you.
20g or less per day.
It CAN be done.
220lbs, now 170. Steady.
Thank you Dennis for sharing 🙏
We have a friend who refuses to lower carbs and recently ended up in hospital with a blood glucose level of just over 35mmol (about 630mg/dL) She claimed the glucose meters were useless as they always had errors! (beyond the measurable range) She is going blind and they have talked about removing her foot. To quote her "The doctors don't know what they are talking about"
So sad. 😢
What a sad story.
@persophone4554 I know someone like this that also has kidney failure and congestive heart failure. Obviously she is eating ultra processed junk food. Normal healthy, veggies, meats, and fruits is what is needed. Even legumes, lentils.
If it says error either the strip or the meter can be off. Or you did the test wrong. Not enough blood.
My husband had issues when first learning to use it. Lots of errors. Very rare now.
If reading too high, which can happen, they can be readjusted at the pharmacy. My husband's was reading in the 8s and 9s. He kept a food diary for a week. Nothing that should have caused problems.
They tested him with both his meter and theirs at the pharmacy . 3 point difference. They fixed his meter.
Sounds like your friend is addicted to her carbs.
No real problems with the strips. The meter gave the error for "TOO HIGH" (ie out of range >30mmol) She never beleived she was high and always gave herself sugary treats
All true!!! Thank you!!!
Welcome!
That's amazing! Going to have to start making pizza like you do. My diabetes has gotten almost out of control, so I appreciate your work.
Your body is amazing. It needs some tender loving care right now. Respect your body by using your glucose meter to see how YOUR body reacts to foods and learn what foods you can eat to love your body. Don't eat to love food. You can do this!
Very helpful video Dennis.
Great man you are ✝🍐🍓🥝🥬🥦🥑 many greets and good health .
It depends on exactly what you put on your pizza. I use tortillas to make our thin crust pizzas - SO GOOD !!! I load them up with meat, olives, spinach, peppers, pepper jack cheese
Ice cream at our is keto and is very good taste wise and bg wise.
I also like things made with seaweed, which hardly raise my bg at all 😊 thank you Dennis ❤
I'm not diabetic but almost became prediabetic. I'm no longer doing keto but still very low carb. I test my glucose and ketones everyday.
I have to not only be aware of carbs but seed oils and stay low fodmap because of health issues.
I've got a friend who is a paraplegic. He has issues with lymphedema. I've got him doing keto. I really try to get him testing glucose with a meter I no longer use I have him. He does maybe once a week. I harp on him to test every morning, and before and after every meal.
The first time I showed him the importance by testing, his pre meal was 130, a hour after eating was 190, then 5 minutes after that dropped to 90. I know that pattern as a sign of reactive hypoglycemia and very high blood sugar and freaked.
That's why I'm harping on the importance. He thinks just because he's doing keto it means his blood sugar is always gonna be better. But I know from experience that some foods I react more to than others. Cabbage doesn't affect my blood sugar but screws with my digestion. If I use it to make kimchi or sauerkraut it's fine. Oats I have a issue with even if I make overnight oats often even in very small amounts. Subbing oats with things like chia seeds and nuts work much better and making a sub for cream of wheat with coursely ground nuts works better than my old fave oatmeal. I can add berries, stevia, ground cinnamon for flavor or small amounts of higher carb fruit like apples and banana or even mango without issues. But it's got to be very little.
He may react better to some foods than others and blood sugar testing would be best to figure out his personal trigger foods along with flare ups from his lymphedema.
But it's a case of you can lead a horse to water on that one with him. I feel me trying to convince him the importance is like talking to and banging my head on a titanium wall, not even a brick or concrete one. Sometimes with this I want to scream out of frustration because he just doesn't see the value despitey test and some of his own showing him how needed it is.
I laughed out loud, when you said “old geezer con man “ 🤦♀️😂
Thank you for showing mmols. I can relate now.
Glad it helped! Why didn't I do this much sooner?
Amen!!!
Amen bro Dennis.. thanks
Thanks as always for your videos.
I believe some people replace some of the allulose in the ice cream with erythritol. This helps give more of an ice cream firmness.
I got into looking at my numbers via Carnivore, still evaluating but I am amazed at some of the results I have been getting...
Never thought about Diabetes or Isulin before and through mire good luck than planning I am just a normal person....
I am enjoying the journey and videos like yours. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you Dennis for this video. After doing keto for almost 2 years, that first meal didn't even look appealing to me!
This is amazing thank you sir
There may be different issues with different foods with different people. One food that may spike blood sugar with one person, may not have much of an effect in another. I suspect that beside the liver/pancreas issues, there may be a factor with gut bacteria and health.
Well said. Yes, I only eat a few no spike foods. My a1c etc is low but my gut (bacteria) went south
Thank you and Mike the meter.
Plz talk about the trend now of sodium bicarbonate in morning apple cider vinegar in evening too many videos out there saying it will reverse T2 D plz plz speak about it ❤
An idea I got from a local pizza parlor is: Crustless Pizza. Just a bit of olive oil in a baking dish with sauce, toppings and cheese. Pretty close to zero carb.
But I am going to try the ice cream idea.
My microwave pizza. Almond flour, splash of olive oil, 1 egg, spices. Mix well and flatten. Top with sauce and light toppings.
I can handle half a sweet potato and one half cup quinoa. Portion size makes a big difference. However if I eat 2 medium slices of thin crust pizza my blood glucose rises to 212 when measured 60 minutes later. So I need to avoid pizza.
Dennis, thanks for a great video. I look forward to trying the pizza recipe. Have you tried lupin beans? If so, do they spike you blood sugar like other beans? Best
Plz talk about zombie cells
I LOVE potatoes and would eat them if I could...but I can't. Ditto quinoa.
So, out of curiosity, has anyone else ran into the issue I'm having? Can't quite get a handle on why this happens sometimes, but not others. There are times that a get a couple McDoubles from McDonalds for a meal. I toss the bread and just eat the meat, cheese, and pickles, and what little ketchup/mustard are left on the patties. Sometimes I'll have that and my sugar will remain low in the 120-140 range, but other times, it shoots through the roof, like 170+, even a few hours after eating. This is usually after I've been fasting since breakfast, so my baseline is low already. I know McDonald's isn't what you'd call high class food, but sometimes it's all I've got time for. It's the inconsistency of it that gets me. Only theory I have is that they're spiking their meat with some bread or something to stretch it out further.
Just order the 1/4 patties, plain....it's on their a la carte menu. Most places they are $2 or so each.
Love pizza but it has to be thin crust and you can use a gluten free options. Had a Pizza yesterday and my BG was normal.
If I ate the potatoes it would take three days of eating properly for my blood sugar to drop
I had ice cream two days ago. My s.l was 198.
Pastor Dennis, why don’t you try next time Baked the sweet potatoes and take half of the inside sweet potatoes out and put sauté vegetables and minced meat and cheese on top and bake just like stuffed sweet potatoes and then try to check the accucheck.
I get some of my lowest morning glucose readings after eating my wife's homemade sourdough pizza the night before. As for the pizza being "junk food" I like to remind the nay sayers, including my doctors, that pizza is a big part of the "Mediterranean diet" that they are so fond of. As an Italian (on both sides of the family) I can say that those kinds of advisors have NO CLUE what Mediterraneans eat.
I love low carb pizza, the crust is homemade with millets!
My body needs a minimum of about 100 grams of Carbs per day...or about 33 grams per meal. If I go lower than that, I lose too much weight. I just can't stop losing weight on a low Carb diet. It took me almost 2 years to figure this out with the help of my doctor.
Same here, always had trouble gaining, now low carb made me lose too much
up the fat, butter, meat trimmings, heavy cream etc
My husband is the same way. He is so worried about it. His doctor says he is fine but he weights himself every day. I didnt experience the weight loss he did. I lost about 20 pounds but have stopped losing now.
Had a similar issue, what worked for me was adding nuts and seeds to most of my meals as well as basically “doubling” my fat intake like eating two avocados at a time versus just one half
I am jealous. If I ate the sweet potato meal my bg would be in the 200s and it would be at least 24 hrs before I would be back to my normal
Ask me about my keto Russian salad... amount others ingredients, eggs, mayonnaise and avocado instead of potatoes...try it
That's a yam!!!
Dont think so. It is extremely rare to see a real yam in stores in the USA. Yams are not usually that bright orange color and are much larger. Two completely different plants.
Have you tested the effect coffee has on blood sugar?
good day to you dennis,I'm type 2 diabetic and your channel have been my # diabetic channel I watch,I was wondering if I can eat bulgar wheat and can you look into Royo low carb bread and hero low carb bread.
I never liked thick-crust pizza, even as a child. I would take off the toppings and leave the crust. Who knew that would help me throughout my life?
Thanks Dennis.
But l have a signifacant high Level o Cholesterol 400. My blood sugar thanks to your channel os stabile in the A1C between 5.7 to 6
Have started talking Stalins. Doc says its hereditary.
I highly suggest you check some people like Dr David Diamond about the history of the high cholesterol scam or Dr Robert Cywes videos. Both are on you tube with their assertions well documented. Or just search on your own and try to find just one randomly controlled trial not done by or paid for by a drug company that can correlate the total and LDL numbers with health issues.
I thought the same as your wife ( just kidding)😂😂 but I really appreciate you for debunking the eat healthy by eating
" healthy" foods that spike sugar.
I agree with you that if you insulin resistant carbs isn't good, it'll spike, but what about teaching on reversing insulin resistane?
there is only one way and that is to stop the carbs
15:02
Have you ever tested coffee/ cappuccino?
I tried Quinoa, and it reaĺy ran up my blood sugar. The potatoes as well.
surprising :)
White bread, that’s the problem.carbs and sugar.
Sugar is added to the sauce
Have not watched yet. Guessing the pizza and icecream did better. At least some cream, meat and cheese.
I tried the vegan ice cream the other and it shoot up to 179 mg/dl within 2-3 hrs later and it was even this small and super sweet
Day
Ive heard sweet potatoes are bad for diabetics.
anything with carbs is bad, so of course sweet potatoes are bad. Just about any root is not good.
Why not just wear a CGM Dennis?
What does it mean when you have low insulin 3.9 and a high glucose A1c 6.4. Low carb, almost carnivore, fasting 18:6 everyday. Dawn effect (160) sometimes it spikes during the night as well even if I did not eat after 6pm All blood work is fine except for A1c and fasting glucose. Low triglycerides and high HDL. C peptide fine, liver fine. I sometimes test positive for ANA auto immune - it has been going lower though. Is it pancreatic insufficiency? Is it a liver issue ? Female 5’4” at 140lbs.
Dennis, do you have any insight!
Did it 4 years ago. 13.9 A1C. Last tested at 5.6, been that way since about 4 weeks inho a low carb hi fat diet, including this channel.
You can train your body the opposite way from what caused the condition to begin with.
What do you say to those who say our sugar is supposed to go up and then come down after eating
notwithstanding the glucose results. sweet potatoes and quinoa don't contain industrially processed seed oils.
for my part, I scrape the toppings off of a pizza and leave the crust behind.
Thank for the YT test
I’ve always found sweet potatoes and potatoes to be the same glucose wise. I have never understood why sweet potatoes are always touted at diabetic friendly.
There's not that much difference in terms of glucose spikes.
I had Once quinoa, spikes samé like potatoes Hell no!
👍❤️🙏🏻
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong I've done my blood test twice and my a1c and glucose have been the same for two years. Any tips would be great my a1c 5.7 and glucose 117 when i first got diagnosed my blood sugar was 126 a1c 5.7

I have ckd stage 3a and food is a hassle
But isn't quinoa a whole grain? It's not processed
The starch in the quinoa is digested into glucose. It's just digested a little slower than refined starches. Like Denis says, you have to use Mike the Meter to check how a certain food affects you. People that are metabolically healthy and exercise a lot can possibly have whole grains, but people that are a diabetic or prediabetic just can't have them
Grains in any for are NOT human food. Feed any whole grain to farm animals and you get fat animals. Why should we be different. Also, technically, quinoa is not a grain because it is not a grass, however the nutrition profile (or lack of nutrition) is similar to a grain.
🦝
Try the comparison with regular pizza and ice cream. I started eating quinoa, rice, and chickpeas, and my blood sugar is going down.
Which simple means you diet must have really been crap before.
@johnsonpaul1914 What does that have to do with the fact that keto does NOT reverse insulin resistance? Not denying junk food is the reason why people get type 2. I do not eat those crappy foods anymore. It's been several years. I tried Keto. My body needed rice of all things, for example. I notice that my bg is going down consistently. Keto does not reverse insulin resistance. I EAT a balanced variety of foods, including meats. God's fruits and veggies. And some meats are not the enemy...ultra processed foods are. I'm saying ALL fruits and veggies in small amounts get the body/cell used to nutrition is good. By the way, he compared God's food to a more processed food. That is not fair. Plus, the reason why his bg was high when eating the yam and quinoa is because he is STILL INSULIN RESISTANT. He lowered his bg but, he has NOT beat diabetes. You know why? Because he can't eat a simple yam or rice without spiking high bg. If he starts to eat in small amounts to get body used to it...he can heal.
@@user-cu3xn4xj3iI like the sound of all this because there are things I do miss eating like potatoes but have you been on any medication? Like did you reverse diabetes by just cutting your portions like without medication to help?
I don’t believe that whipped cream won’t spike your blood sugar. It tastes plenty sweet to me so why haven’t they come up with an ice cream that doesn’t spike your blood sugar? Though there is good advice given on this channel I fear you should keep this from your insulin sensitive family members. It is a huge burden having them know about your problem and also not being able to share events simply because you cannot eat sweets and fried foods.
Too much work to make pizza base.Try cottage cheese base, add ur filling, bake.
Quinoa is gross 🤮
Don’t think this is fair to sweet potatoes. You paired it with high carb and no protein or fat. Double whammy. Let it cool and you have resistant starch.
Add cinnamon and a little butter. Have protein before you eat it. Africans eat a lot of sweet potatoes and no colon cancer. Great nutrients in sweet potato. Try again! You got this result because you wanted this result!
