Hi and thanks, "Exit Thru the Gift Shop" for taking us on your hiking adventure to Johnson Canyon in Alberta, Canada. Wow...snow..snow..and snow in May. Of course, it's Canada after all. I can almost feel the crisp cold air on my cheeks. Kayak7seas and I need a pair of highking shoes with a good grip or even spikes? Am I allowed to jump into the stunning green color mineral spring when the times right? I like the differnt angles of the vews of this canyon through your lsens. Well done. (Sorry, I couldn't leave a comment above...)
One of my favourite canyons to hike in winter. I love the two waterfalls specially the lower falls. Great information! Looks like you had a great time in Alberta.
What a stunning trail 👌🏻. The falls are amazing. Love the crystal clear water. Hope you didn’t hurt anything when you slipped. Best wishes. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️Watto

This is one of my family's favourite hikes too, winter or summer. The catwalk area is my favourite, and the kids love that little cave that leads to the waterfall. One day, when their legs can handle it, we want to make it all the way to the Ink Pots.
Indeed, that is one of my favourites too! Really is a truly awesome place. You really have to experience it in person to really take advantage of all the sights and sounds! Love it! Thanks so much as it has been years since my last visit! Bruce and Otis
Such a beautiful hike through the snow pine forests. The water looks so beautifully fresh (cold I bet!!). Someone kayaked over that on purpose??? Crazy. Beautiful part of the world though 🍻
It's one of my favorite spots. No wonder it's so popular! Luckily I've been there in the offseason the past couple trips. It can get extremely busy in summer!

That is beautiful hiking trail
It's one of my favorites!
Wow 🤩 looks really cool 😎 in the winter ❄️
Very cool! Pun intended?
You are cool 😎
Mainly because it was wintery cold in the mountains ;)

The lower falls is fun because you get to enter through the cave. Always exciting!

I survived the tumble no worse for wear. And managed to protect the camera too!

I have to admit that I've never been to the ink pots. The past couple times I've been there in winter and that seems like more of a summer activity :)
Beautiful
I love this hike - Try to go every time we're in Banff!

For sure, the video hardly does it justice! It's an amazing feeling when you're actually walking through the canyon alongside the river!
Awesome video! I went to Johnston Canyon years ago, and it was spectacular : )
It's unforgettable! Glad you had the chance to visit 👍
Want a beautiful wintry place 💙Jenn
Thanks Jenn - One of my favorites!

Felt that slip at the end lol. Curious to know what month you visited, as Alberta can play fast and loose with its winter weather.
Thanks, it was fair tumble. We were just there at the end of March :)
