After the war she graduated from medical university. So proffessionally she was a doctor - a psychiatrist, being also an academic (she had Ph.D. in psychiatrii). She was also active for protection of life, being for instance against abortion. And about this correspondence of Karol Wojtyła (later John Paul II) and saint Father Pio, and her healing from cancer, that You've mentioned above, it's true.
