@@CardonaThe2nd This is interesting though because how do they stop people buying the international version online? I'm gonna ask Deity how that works!
The man with the killer B roll just made killer A roll! This one is full of tasty tips. I shot an interview with just the Zoom H1n and a lav mic connected, forgot to switch the lav on and half the audio was trashed. A secondary boom mic would definitely have solved that mess. Deity for the win!
Damn man! Yeah I've definitely been there. I just did an interview yesterday and the boom kept picking up the sound of birds outside but the LAV didn't catch it! It's best to have both for sure. Hope to see you on Sunday for Cody's meetup!
@@impatrickt definitely good to have in the kit. I don't do video often but learned the hard way to have a contingency plan for everything haha. I'll definitely be at the meetup on Sunday. See you there!
Finally !!! I told you so a lot time ago!! You simply rock my friend. Now get ready because the world of youtube, even that you ve nver thought about this is opening new horizons for you...And Im always right on predictions...short of :) Good luck on this new way of creating videos. I love it.
I probably won't be doing much more a-roll. Now that I've done I don't really see the benefit. I don't like watching other people's a-roll either but if the views are better than my b-roll videos I will try more!
You on camera, thank you! Just for facing your fears mate, love it. The audio sounds super clean, I still have an old wired mic from back in 2002 when I started doing more freelance stuff lol, I should break it out and see how it holds up all these years later. Wired lav's suck, I hate them. Talking about pasta though has made me hungry, damnit I'm hungry! My eyes are happy, my ears even more so, but my stomach is now nagging me. One video quite a visceral experience dude, great review.
You killed that A-Roll bro. One minor suggestion, I would back up and lower the camera a tad so you appear taller or have a little bit more of your torso in the frame. It felt like you were sitting in a shorter chair than intended. Otherwise, A-Roll was clean 👍🏼
Lav mic corporate interview shoots are my bread and butter and yet I don’t think I’ve ever had this good a setup for audio. That wireless transmitter seems like a no-brainer purchase man.
Yah, I also prefer the boom sound. The lav isn't bad...the boom just sounds more natural. I used the Rode Wireless Go for about a week. Was really unreliable. I use the D3 Pro for my vlogging/interview kit. And I hate being "that guy", but the space between the top of your head and the frame was really distracting. Maybe zoom out a bit next time and tilt the camera down a bit. Good review. I'd like to give this unit a shot. Looks nice and compact with that carry case.
That was a great video, man! Nice job! You *might* have convinced me to get one. Especially since I was expecting it to come in at $999 at best, and probably $1199. And you’re right, the boom mic sounds MUCH more natural; you get more natural room reflections, so you don’t sound like you’ve got a mic shoved down your throat.
@@impatrickt I know I'm being an idiot, but I've never used anything like this before. So how would I go about using that audio I recorded on premiere pro or davnici
Ooh boy let's not talk about my aroll. It's effin horrible. And my broll is also pretty bad The video is on my harddrive. I eventually have to post it online, cuz I set a rule for myself that I cannot buy a new lens (technically it's an old vintage lens) until I don't shoot 3 vids, edit and post them online. So yea. Luckily, no one watches me so I don't feel that bad.
NOTE: The HD-TX only transmits and records outside of the US. If you’re American it only records or transmits. Not simultaneously.
How does it know where you are? 🤔
Ricardo Cardona 2 there’s American and International versions.
Patrick Tomasso If only it wasn’t baked in... maybe I can find someone across the border that can.... I should stop talking now... 👀
@@CardonaThe2nd This is interesting though because how do they stop people buying the international version online? I'm gonna ask Deity how that works!
Patrick Tomasso my guess is they can’t police that. Just like buying a different region locked Nintendo system back in the day...
D3 Pro + HD - TX sounds amazing!!!! 👂🏽 ⭐️
The longest Patrick Tomasso video yet??!? What a treat 😍
Great vid! Thanks! For someone who's "not technical" you sure know how to put it together and get it out there!
Glad it was helpful!
good job
thanks for watching
Great vid BTW! Definitely going to check this kit out.
Thanks Charlie!
Great!
Yes! Good stuff. Up and coming star here folks

That leather case is my favourite part of that kit. Just reminds me of leather case I had for my Ericsson somethingsomething 20 years ago.
Sony Ericsson. They need to bring that back.
@@impatrickt try bit older, before Sony was there, I had phones like GH 688 and my personal favourite T10, still love that design.

Patrick Tomasso Broll that please!
hahha the A roll is a welcomed sight bro! I'm sold on the recording unit and kit!
Thanks man! Ha.
So when are you gonna release the full pasta doc?
great question.

yeah

Love it dude - you killed it! Been trying to muster up the courage to do similar videos too, so this is encouragement.
would love to see you do more UA-cam!
A-roll and 11 minutes. Who even are you now?
I don't even recognize myself in the mirror.

I would grab it from BH Photo!

It would have been great if the rig was simple and entire video was focused on deity.. It got me confused with so many recording options..
