- Rice planting on the terraces of Dazhai is a giant sculpture in dynamic motion.
Dazhai is a village outside Longsheng which is 4-hour bus ride north of Guilin, Guangxi, China. An over-night stay in one of the many affordable guesthouses is recommended.
Dazhai is inhabited by the Hong Yao minority famous for its long-haired women.

THANK YOU TO THESE FARMERS WHO ARE SOO HARD WORKING.
Mingzu and nongmin are amazing people.
I am always shocked when I see dislikes on a video like this... why? It’s about hard working people in a beautiful area. I would argue it’s the most incredible agricultural feat in human history. What’s not to like?
Agriculture is hard job. S. C. Roy, Climate Scientist , Bangladesh.
May be because of jealousy against China's hardworking
One must admire the perseverance of the people who worked to create such a beautiful landscape. Respect from Australia.
I love farming terraces so so much. They're so pretty, so well constructed, historical, picturesque snapshots of culture. It's such hard work and I can't appreciate it enough.
We share the same culture, food habits and living styles...loving it.
Well done. I enjoyed this very much. Brings me back every time I watch it.
ohhh! thanks..and GODBLESS!
..those hardworking people are jz like our "mountain province inhabitants" in my beloved philippines in "banaue"!
..their "banaue rice terraces" is considered the 8th wonders of the world--they're our pride--and me myself don't wanna miss a chance to pay them a visit either every "panagbenga (flower) festival in baguio to sagada then banaue--which is tourists attraction..or on easter or before rainy seasons--to avoid landslides!
..this' jz awesome GOD's GREAT CREATION!
My respects to these people. Hard work and dedication
I really like the way they work hard and it's really speechless beautiful place.
Greetings from Ireland'..fanatic people.god bless them
China is my number 1 place to visit in the world.
Well worth it.
هههههه
indonesia should be.
Me too
Wat about now
This is really excellent. We have all seen hundreds of pictures of terraces, but this is the first time I've seen a comprehensive treatment of how it works. I have often wondered what keeps it from washing down, it looks like the answer is "Luck, and constant maintenance". When it all works out, it's really a sight! It is also a treat to NOT have the computer narration here. Thanks!
I am Montagnard indigenous I love how Chinese agriculture , Chinese is the best rice planting.
this is a Hmong Villiage farming in China.
....I'm speechless ...respect China s culture
its the whole asian culture
bcz asian cant leave without rice

China has It's a very old twelve-section song.
It's recorded in detail in the song. Planting of rice The exact time to manage the harvest is accurate to What day?
Do you have this kind of song there?
We do it backward leaving the planted ones undisturbed or not having the trouble to take the next step and it go pretty smooth. Idk if you use to do it too.
Your working system and methods are closely related to Nagaland works......

Love from indonesia
We still use the same method, but use either bulls or buffaloes
Cant these terraces be used to grow trees ?
Like walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, chestnuts, pecans, cashews, avocados, oranges, lemons, and many fruits/nuts trees 👀
But the spacing and floor space on each level of the terrace needs to be measured & proportional 👀
But where will we go for water & irrigation 365days all year round 😓
I need stationery/static clouds.
Beautiful place Lamoot
Rices terraces can be seen mostly all over asian countries from china cambodia and philippines...
beautifull done by rice power not engine power.
Cool!
I'll be there
I am going to make like this in my place.
