    One of your best videos yet! Coil packs are usually pretty resilient, but that torn boot + any kind of moisture or condensation could definitely cause that kind of issue. I chased a misfire for a while on the NSX that ended up being a bad coil that would ohm test fine when cold but packed it up when it got hot.

    The price of a Jetta. You’re living in a fantasy world!

    • @MystMotorsports
      @MystMotorsports  3 роки тому

      A brand new base Jetta at the time of filming had an MSRP of $19,000.
      These can still be found for around $20,000 but they are finally beginning to appreciate.

    I didn't see you replace #4 coil pack, you know, the one that is nearly impossible to get to. That would have been the one I, probably everyone else, would want to see your technique on reattaching the coil pack connection.

      I do apologize for that. It was really no different than the other ones. I must have left that put in editing by mistake.
      But i do not Remember it being any different than the others. I will try to make sure to include all possible in future videos. Thanks!

    I did my coils and plugs on my 2005 c2 in 2018. Car was misfiring randomly. They were all cracked and only had 47k miles. Ordered from pelican parts beru updated coils packs with longer bolts and Bosch plugs. Not bad job just needs lot of patience. After 2 years now I'm getting cold start misfire only. First start it misfire and hesitate and then it calm down after minute and runs fine. Can't get this sorted.

      How often do you drive it?

    • @moneyparhar
      @moneyparhar 3 роки тому

      @@MystMotorsports summer time I drive mostly everyday but in winter it says in garge. When it's too hot weather like 100 degrees then it doesn't misfire. I start car and if I shut off right way and then start again right way. It won't misfire.

      That sounds like more than spark plugs.
      I would have it checked out. Possible loose connection or a sensor in need of replacement.

    2 questions . How do you replace the spark plug tube. And also , I have a leaking valve cover. Can it be resealed without pulling the engine ?

    • @MystMotorsports
      @MystMotorsports  2 роки тому

      The metal tube is under the valve cover.
      And to my knowledge it must be pulled.

    How much would you say the cost would be to do this upgrade on a 996 C4S (parts and labor)? Watching your video is making me want to do this upgrade on my 2004 C4S Cabriolet. I'll just have to find a reputable garage that can do this for me that won't screw me over on the price.

      @@88brandonlee88 The local Porsche dealer said around 5-6 hours depending on 2wd/ 4wd. I feel like I paid around $400 for the parts in total. So all in it won't be that bad to upgrade the coils to the 997 Turbo coils.
