This is actually the reason i love sped up songs. They recreate the energy of the first few listens, and after a while the original sounds different too
I forgot this song existed and when I listened to Reputation all the way through for the first time late last year it was so magical. Same with songs like Where Have You Been by Rihanna and Earned It by The Weeknd.
This is my first time hearing any version of this song, feel bad for not giving Reputation a chance

Timing has a bit of a hiccup with the first half of the chorus being in the first verse, but the 2nd verse being in the end of the chorus part of the song is SO GOOD.
Yep that first part was rough but I feel like that could be fixed by adding/cutting a bar or two of instrumental.

I agree that if they kept it how they did but left the chorus alone it would be way better. I think having the end of the chorus bleed into the second verse worked, but having the first part of the chorus with the harder edgier sound was jarring and didn’t fit the lyrics lol
