Did she ever visit any of the thousands of people accused of theft, and ask them for their story, sat and listened to their frustrations and fears. If the horizon software accounting system so robust, why was there no flagging up in the accounts of surpluses from money the post office extorted from innocent people. There was money in the accounts which should not have existed.
Honourable people took their lives over this piece of work, if she had any remorse she should follow suit!

Agree she should pay back all of her bonuses & her gratuity on leaving. That money can go towards compensation to the honest hardworking men & women who have lost everything not only money. If she had any integrity she would voluntarily return those monies she received over her salary.

The Parliament/government UK needs to bring in laws to protect the consumers and the public, and more broadly, to protect everyone against this type of criminal activities and fraudulent activities by CEOs, board of directors, managers, fraud investigators, law firms, etc. Laws will make these criminals accountable for their actions in the uk and overseas !

I believe one issue to all adjudicated matters in British common law, is that 'Ignorance is no excuse'. All the tears and apologies does nothing to rescind this simple fact, and it is now incumbent upon criminal courts to pass judgement and sentencing - including grounds for culpable manslaughter, amongst everything else.
This will also clearly serve as 'case in point' as to the fairness of the British legal system, regardless of status or wealth.
Laws need to change in Parliament to prevent these thugs from operating under cloud nine !

It beggars belief that a sudden massive increase in sub postmasters having unexplained discrepancies could have been ignored or put down to ‘hands in till ‘ As I think it was described.

For someone who has "dedicated" a year on the Inquiry PV has a vague recollection of what will incriminate her however a full recall on dishing the blame on others. She has worked well with her lawyers on her answers. But you can't get away with the fact....she's a culpable liar.

I have to be honest, today, thus far in my viewing, I have been disappointed. I think that it is often the case that as one watches, be it the subpostmasters' attorneys or indeed we, the public, it seems that we could pin those scoundrels down perhaps better than The Inquiry. I however now have a renewed resolve that particularly when Mr. Beer is at the helm, this Inquiry is being conducted at an exceptional level. So I am content to be a bit underwhelmed today for the overall good as it were.

It is understandable that an employee of a large firm may act wrongly to protect the interests of the firm - What cannot be tolerated is the willingness of PO administrators to make use of statistical data which administrators know to contain defects which are hidden from the parties concerned to mount a prosecution which had the potential to financially ruin ordinary people and to send ordinary people to gaol.
