Cool to se that there is some ohter brave dudes takling the Beetle turbo. I have had mine for a year now, slowly getting it how i want it. Now done is whole turbo back exhaust, bigger turbo inlet pipe, custom map and decent coilovers. Waiting to see where you take this?. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for posting this. I bought a 2002 VW New Beetle GLX 1.8T and I love the car. I have had some trouble finding people on UA-cam that have these cars and that give them some love like you. I am more than glad that I stumbled upon your channel. Keep up the good work. I've had some issues cause I bought some LED lights for headlights and fog lights but I need an LED relay and can't seem to find them. If you ever make an LED video, please recommend a good brand or something if you can because mine keep burning out... Again, thank you for the videos.
@@ts31966 I won't be back in San Diego for another week (splitting time between Spokane Wa and SD). But I just did Beamtech LEDs in my Subaru up here and love them! Will post a video soon! @owlmanolPR13 what brand LEDs have you been using? How long does it take for yours to burn out?
Hi! Thanks for the short and exact tutorial. Unfortunately my door lights don’t light up. Any idea why? Other lights are working. It’s a Mexico Beetle from 2002.
@@rayregnogarage yes! Apparently I have way less than 12V on the wires. Around 8.3V. Also there was some thing strange. The diode's "arrow" was positioned to the exterior of the connector but after i measured the pins, I switched it to the inside of the connector.
Hello, I am wondering if you have repaired the temperature/clock panel above the rear view mirror. I have one in a 2003 Turbo S that keeps unclipping and sagging. I would appreciate any help on this issue. I have tried readjusting the clips, but they still do not seem to clip it back into place...
Haven't done them yet! But those are next! I have a video on waterpump and timing belt update... as well as quick release steering wheel that I still need to edit and post... but I'll be upgrading the headlights soon!
It’s supposed to be 36mm. Sometimes when Amazon runs out of an item, it just disappears from the page. 36mm used to be an option on that page. Apologies for that. I used this site to determine the bulb sizes. www.newbeetle.org/threads/list-of-light-bulb-sizes.115706/ The interior bulbs are 6418 which is equivalent to 36mm
Man you are truly awesome for this kind of tutorials! easy going and straight to the point!
Thanks!

Hello Ray is D trunk led light bulb different from all d interior led bulbs. U listed 2 types of led bulbs to get at Amazon okay and mention 7 and 1
I can’t remember. It was so long ago. Lol.
Yes. I just reread the description. Interior lights are different.
Did you do your glove box?
I’m not sure. I don’t think so. I never use it. Haha.
are the bulbs 36mm or 42mm led bulbs because it says 36mm but the link is for 42mm

The interior bulbs are 6418 which is equivalent to 36mm
If you search “6418 led bulb” on Amazon there are quite a few options that pop up
