- So the marsh and bays have been on fire over the last couple of months.
On this trip I caught one flounder, several reds, a pile of catfish that I didn’t put in the video and one gar! Unfortunately I only landed one gar out of all the ones I hooked. It was something new that I’ve always wanted to try and I'll definitely try it again! Hopefully on the next gar fishing trip I’ll have more success. 🤞🏻

I especially like that one that hit the Topwater boat side. I was rooting for you to catch a Gar and I'm glad you kept at it. And most importantly, "God first!" 🙏
Thanks bud! I sure do appreciate it! I wish I could have got that first blow up on camera. He knocked that plug way outta the water! Couldn’t believe it! The gar definitely won the battles that day. Go figure I landed the smallest one at the end but I’ll definitely take it! Wait until you see the gar video coming up! My little brother and I went fishing for them! I’ll have two videos coming soon. One will be up later this week on redfish we caught and then the gar fishing video will be up next week. That gar video is going to be crazy! I’m really excited about it! Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always first and doing my best to be that fisher of men! 🙏🏻

Primeaux Bassdude oh yes!!!! I’ve got a special way I do them on the grill that is AWESOME!!!! I ended up eating my red during the week of the hurricane and didn’t have time to film it with everything going on. I’ll get another red and get that video up soon. You guys will love it!

Lance, I'm 77 and haven't fished in 40 years, watching you has sparked an urge to try it again. I live in Mauriceville and cant seem to find a place to bank fish any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hey bud! That’s great! There is a pretty decent place in sabine pass. Actually two places. You have dick dowling park and you have the Humpry pier. Both places you can fish from the bank and do pretty decent! I think the pier is just a little better fishing. It does get crowded but the fishermen that are on it are pretty easy going.

Thanks bud. In this one I was in keith lake and several ponds in that area. And that is correct. Keith lake is just before you get to the town of Sabine. It’s close to Golden pass LNG

What’s the boat you have?
It’s a AlWeld 1652 Marsh runner powered by a 50 Tohatsu. I LOVE this rig! I did put a manual jackplate on it and it really helps this boat out. It’s really stable and rides amazing on good weather days.

Greg Nettles thanks bud. I’ll have two more pre hurricane videos to get up. We fished right before it hit. Yesterday was my first day off since it hit. Those 12 to 15 hour days were getting old quick! I’ve been told by a few people the north end of sabine, Cow, blacks, Adams and burtons ditch have been really good! Let me know how you do! I’m ready to go back!
