right? I didn’t even believe he actually did dream'd voice cause in interviews his pitch was quite high but now it seems both were intentionally done, low and high.
I can't imagine this man is 36 years old... like excuse me sir? How come you still look so young! And when he got embarassed when the nude scene came is just hilarious! LOL
his body honestly looked unreal. in the sense that I thought they might've used cgi, because yeah actors get in shape for roles but THIS is just insane
I've never been so confident in an actor the way I am with tom sturridge. the way he talks about his character and the story and his whole understanding of it. his commitment to the role is real and pure alongside his talent and looks. he is gonna go so big with this one.
I don’t think anyone would be totally comfortable seeing themselves acting especially after the production is done, let alone nude scenes. Lots of actors & actresses must be thinking “well what do you want me to say? Just watch what I ate & worked out for hours & hours per day and stayed consistent for however long the role wanted me to be”.
The Doctor is what happens when Dream falls in love with the hopes and dreams of humanity. When he allows himself to feel affection and awe for humanity's aspirations.
LMAOOO poor guy looked like he wanted to bail so hard at seeing THAT scene, I know if it had been me I would have noped out of there 😂😂 Damn but he did SO good as Dream, had me invested in him from the first moment. All the actors and their respective characters are so captivating, I was drinking up every second of each episode like it was water in a desert. Easily my new favorite show AND comfort show. Now give us season 2 Netflix !!!
Honestly if I would see him in another show/movie I wouldn't fall so hard for him, I mean, now I've fully noticed he's a gorgeous man but in the sandman that goth style suits him so much, and he's so hot in an ethereal, otherworldly way...I never saw a man handsome and charming like him in this series, ngl.
@@stefanya1280 Yeap, I agree! I mean I'm not into guys, but there is something so charismatic about him in the series and I love Morpheus goth style too! I've seen plenty of Sandman interviews recently and I admire Tom as an actor and a person. I'm really glad Sandman will get second season 😊
The funny thing is Tom is giving massive smol bean vibes, but if you go watch his entire filmography, most of his roles are hella disturbing/disturbed characters that do wild things. Like, this is not remotely the first time he's been almost-naked for camera (tho there is something to be said for being shot in a showcase-y way)
This interview approach made me really uncomfortable. I kept wondering what this would like if Tom was a lady being interviewed by a guy. And yes, I understand context matters and those types of juxtapositions don't always track, but still... I say this as a bona fide Girl Nerd, so Ms. Day is like my Jesus... this just seemed like a weird misstep. Which is not to say he has anything to be embarrassed about, even though he clearly was. He looked lovely, and IMHO completely achieved what he was going for in terms of the look. If I was to choose one word to describe it, "ethereal" would be high on the list. :)
I totally get what you mean here. Most actors are usually very comfortable about nudity but he’s clearly not, and yeah he has nothing to be ashamed of, he gave such an amazing performance, I just wish they could have been a bit more considerate of his feelings.
@@shadowseer07 It might also have been just this shot of how he had to hide his private parts with his hand there; it is kind of a hilarious picture whereas the scene is just really dramatic. But I'm not sure how I feel about their showing this clip and the "the fandom is rabid" remark either, cos it's exactly that: You'd probably never say/do that to a woman. And yeah, there's more to the history of sexualising the female body, and boy, I've had my experiences with people not keeping their hands to them-fucking-selves, but this is all the more reason to acknowledge we needn't do that to men either? It also kinda put him into an awkward position, and he seemed pretty puzzled afterwards. Still lovely dude and cast, but on the interviewer part ... painful to watch.
I agree. When someone feels uncomfortable and embarrassed, I feel uncomfortable too. Especially when it's someone I like. Sadly not everybody is so sensitive as me or Tom... or you. I'm an INFP personality type, Tom is maybe even INFJ (just me speculating) and probably you don't even know what I'm talking about ;) Take care, guys!
I hope for more but that Tom Sturridge can ease up a bit on that kind of training; it looked beautiful but it must have been so hard to get into that kind of shape.
@@toki7111 Two deaths happened within inches of Dream - First Jessamy, and then Roderick Burgess (in the show - in the comics Burgess gets off easy with a heart attack, nowhere near Dream). So Death definitely saw Dream, in his cage. Perhaps Death saw Alex moving to set him free and needed to usher Burgess to his final destination before she could see Alex lose his nerve? Certainly if Dream asked for help in that moment he would have received it.

This was a show that the pilot showed great promise and then Tywin Lannister got killed and the show almost immediately degraded in quality. Not worth watch 2/10
Got to agree to disagree with you on this. Episodes 5 and 6 really stood out to me. They were two of my favourite issues in the comic and were highlights of the show so far.
Poor Tom. He blushed so hard when they showed that clip. 😂🤣 He was like "Oohhhh whyyyyy"
Omg he's so flustered he blushes and stutters and I find him that much more endearing
Reminds me of Charlie cox, he also blushes and stutters LOL both are so cute

36 actually but yeah I got the point 😂
He seemed so shy omg 🤭
In a Twitter Q&A, he said he was utterly terrified when he filmed that scene because it was his first scene as Dream.

He is so shy and humble and such an amazing actor!!! Love Tom!!
I’ve been loving this show! Such a great cast and storyline 👏🏽
He's shy and so cute 😂
Dream is my recurring dream now...I love this actor, great performance
His Shame 🥺🤭 oh so cute
It’s about time he gets his big break. I loved him since Far from the Madding Crowd.
I loved him since "Like Minds".
He's just effortlessly covering his shame

Sooooo sweet ^^^^^ just perfect
he stayed in a glass cage for over 100 years NAKED. The Burgess coundn't afford him even a trouser =)))
They wanted him naked, those filthy pervs.
As soon as the crystal ball thingy was made they were like yeah, I'm not coming anywhere near you

Now Dream's out of the cage (and doing just fine, if you will) Tom can let his body shape relax to something a bit healthier under the tailored suits.

I don't think that's fair. If Gaiman only wanted cash, they would have done the show years ago. He clearly cared about how it was made.
