Who would you replace them with? I think they are the best we've got and there is a huge advantage playing with the guys you train with day in and day out at club level too. I do hope to see others involved too. Halley, G.Coombes, Daly are playing well and may get called up before the WC starts. I hope Earls gets back, but that might not pass. There are always injuries and we finally have some depth in the reserves,. A little luck would also be appreciated.
Aki has not been impressive. He has done his part, but even when you look at his interaction with the other players, after a score or something, it is not warm and fuzzy. Something is going on there. Aki should never play 13 again, and needs better hands and tackling for world clas 12.

Agree, domestically (esp. outside leinster’s main team) irish rugby is on a kind of “standby easy mode” in order to replenish for the WC pickings
I agree, the Sharks look completely average. Mad for a team that has like 13 springboks in it
Are you going to predict Georgia's squad? I can help you
My ireland starting line up
15. Hugo Keenan
14. James Lowe
12. Garry Ringrose
13. Bundee Aki
11. Jacob Stockdale
10. Johnny Sexton
9. Craig Casey
8. Caelan Doris
7. Josh Van Der Flier
6. Cain Prendergast
5. Ryan Baird
4. Tadhg Beirne
3. Tadgh Furlong
2. Rob Herring
1. Andrew Porter
Henshaw 12
Ringrose 13
Dan Sheehan?🙄
@@rugbyhub58 no way Aki need to be in
Jakob stockdale are you serious he shouldn’t even be in the squad
Rob herring ? Ah here
Good vid !!! I agree on most of it, except for Coombes who hasn't played this six nation's but is absolutely amazing for Munster and should be picked over him , and second of all the disrespect towards Andrew Conway is crazy he is a different player than hansen, he brings tremendous pressure always on the garryowen's, faster and is a more reliable finisher. he got injured but if he can come back ill go over O'Brian any day even Mack
Ps Calvin Nash over O'Brian maybe not over Stockdale (although i think he has lost his mojo)
he wasn't so amazing at the weekend. In fact, none of the pack, maybe bar Klein, performed well
Conway is injured. Class act though. Pity.
Calvin Nash over Conway surely
@@kevinduffy1145 Conway will be injured still by RWC time.
Gavin Coombes is arguably the third best back row in Ireland after Van de Flier and Doris. You should check up on his game and you'll change your opinion fast. Carrying Munster all year. He is a monster player. 6'5 young ,huge, and hungry, I reckon he will be in the squad. Honestly stunned he didn't play in this 6 nations as he has been outshining O'Mahoney all season for Munster. Should have started against Italy.
I think he can be better
@@tadghmurphy7807 for sure can be better, lasting the full 80 at test match level needs to be proven. But he needs game time to get a taste for it. I’d wager he’ll be an important player for Ireland over the next 5/6 years
Great video thanx....thing is that knock-out rugby is something else. All I know that its promising to be the best world cup ever. Knock-out rugby is not won on form of the last 10-18 months, it plays a role, but I think about 25%. It is how you handle pressure on the day, during the whole tournament and luck....So bring it on +-100 days to go!
I want potentially the ABs to play and beat Ireland, and Sam Kane saying to Mahoney ‘You ain’t no Richie McCaw mate’! 😊
Dream on
Thumbnail “Springbok beaters?”……. WTF?
I’m not inciting violence, I’m just asking the question about if they can beat the Boks 😂
@@TheBlackJersey that question was not addressed. I thought I was gonna watch something interesting.
None of Casey, stockdale, prendergast or herring will start in World Cup and ring rose is a 13 not a 12 so I’d go ringrose henshaw
It should be remembered that the Saffers always struggle to gather their stars between World Cups. So they'll finally be at full strength, which means the Irish will be fully tested (for once).
They were fully tested in New Zealand in 2022 and they came out on top to win a tree test series.
@@taintabird23 No, the Saffers had to leave several of their top players in Japan and Europe. They were never quite at full strength. So now we will find out who is truly the best.
Ireland have been “fully tested” in 8 tests since the start of 2022 and won six of those tests 😅
@@taintabird23 I wouldn’t count test 2 or 3 of that series as fully testing Ireland at all. The scorelines of those tests both flattered the ABs immensely. Ireland thoroughly deserved the series by even more points 💯
@@TheBlackJersey Yes, but for once the Saffers won't have to juggle their players. For example, Malcolm Marx can play for longer and won't have to be benched after forty minutes.
The freedom to choose someone like Handre Pollard OR Manie Libbok makes a big difference as well.
Would love Gavin Coombs make it
Poor Gavin Coombes! In any other universe, he's a shoe-in for the Irish team. However, who do you drop to give Coombes a spot? Caelan Doris??????
Exactly, you’ve got to take some cover at 7 so Coombes is sadly going to miss out
@@amancalledconor , No, Timoney or Baird. Coombes is a better number eight than even Doris when you are up against the monsters. And if he is not in the Irish squad the "experts" are crazy. There is no way the Ireland squad which won the six nations can play Scotland, New Zealand and South Africa in succession and progress. Leinster have shown over and over they can't cope with bigger muscle which can also play to a plan.
No way Ireland are winning the WC. We have to play SA and Scotland then beat both NZ and France in knock out WC games. Cant see it happening
Glad the team doesn't have your mentality, they wouldn't get on the plane else. Imagine not backing your own team after what we've been seeing 🥴
Ireland to win it
It’s actually France OR New Zealand, depending who tops their respective groups. Personally, would rather face the ABs in the QFs
@Ronan Moore It's actually both. Beat one in the QF meet the other in the next round unless SA beat them then we meet SA in the semi final
@Sephiknot Tell me your a Leinster fan without saying your a Leinster fan. I'm not getting carried away, ye are
Caolin Blade has a good chance of going over Craig Casey. he’s the form irish 9 at club level.
Casey is a genius. Munster just beat Leinster, he was important. This aged well..
He has no chance
i think irelands downfall will be the conundrum between sexton and byrne, byrne should have been blooded a lot more in six nations as should casey
Sexton and Byrne had a 2:1 minutes ratio which actually isn't that bad. Clearly Farrell prefers Murray over Casey so again, the number 1 and number 2 nines both had plenty of minutes. Managing to get a Grand Slam while spreading some minutes around as well as he did is pretty phenomenal management
God help France then if Dupont goes down.
Earls is definatly going to the WC. Youve basically picked the Leinster team. I cant get behind that
That’s no different to what the actual coaches do 😂
Can't hack Ireland basically being Leinster cause Leinster have the best players
Munster : Kilcoyne, Beirne, POM, Casey, Crawley, Connacht : Bealham, Prendagast, Aki, Hansen. Ulster : O'Toole, Herring, Henderson, Timoney, McCloskey. That's 14 ( I've probably forgottten someone too) Of course most players are from Leinster. Going by form how can you ignore Sheehan, Furlong, Ryan, Baird, VDF, Conan, Doris, Henshaw, Keenan, etc? Who would you replace them with? I think they are the best we've got and there is a huge advantage playing with the guys you train with day in and day out at club level too. I do hope to see others involved too. Halley, G.Coombes, Daly are playing well and may get called up before the WC starts. I hope Earls gets back, but that might not pass. There are always injuries and we finally have some depth in the reserves,. A little luck would also be appreciated.
O'Mahony!!!!!
Aki has not been impressive. He has done his part, but even when you look at his interaction with the other players, after a score or something, it is not warm and fuzzy. Something is going on there. Aki should never play 13 again, and needs better hands and tackling for world clas 12.
We all know France will win it.
sure, need to get past Ireland first..
Speak for yourself
@@dbcooper8676 gladly, Ireland have all the form to show. Everything in their path they have obliterated these last 10 months..
