Their music is the best.
The three-and-a-half-hour concert was overwhelming.(^^)
Akane has a double pedal operating a single kicker on her single kick bass, and is using every heel and toe trick there is. She has hit 230 bpm before. She always knows where to fill and when to make space.
Misa on bass takes shoes off whenever possible so she can FEEL the drums and lock her timing to it (not guessing; she has said this). She plays "lead bass" - one of the most creative bassists of our time. She and Akane often played in jazz ensembles in clubs before Band-Maid.
Lead guitarist Kanami composes most of the music and has everything planned ahead, but has said she plays her solos for the feeling (not so much for technical show, although she CAN). She is also the guitar sensei for Miku.
Miku (red rose in hair) is rhythm guitarist, second vocalist, group founder, and main lyricist. She doesn't have the vocal power of Saiki, but has great range.
Miku's lyrics aren't all deep, but some are. She has said she doesn't typically write her personal feelings because they would be "too dark." We can hear her frustration with some of her music industry experiences in "After Life" and "Warning." (She is also the group's rep in contract negotiations.)
However, the lyrics for some songs are by other members, and the writer of Hate? was lead singer Saiki. She is shy by nature, but has always had great stage presence, has gained confidence and relaxed more over the past decade. She is the youngest, and was 19 when she joined. Her passion and style is impressive. She also has final say in what she sings. If she doesn't like it, nobody is gonna tell her to fake it. She was recruited for her vocal power and control.
I don't think it is disrespect to recognize that she is a stunning, sexy young lady. That, I think, is undeniable.

Great reaction! Band-Maid brings the heat and fire with their heavy Rock song "Hate?". The lead guitarist Kanami and the Barefoot Assassin bass guitarist Misa facing off on center stage is a highlight of the song accompanied with lead vocals Saiki, rhythm guitarist Miku and their powerful yet intricate drummer Akane. These five elite musicians sure know how to put on a proper rock concert in front of the thousands of wildly enthusiastic fans of their great music. Certainly, one of the best, if not the best, hard rock bands performing today anywhere on the planet. Any of their 120 original other songs are great but would recommend the official live version of "Domination" or the official live version of "Puzzle" or the awesome MV instrumental "From Now On." This was song 27 of a set list of 33 songs during a 3-1/2 hour long tour final concert celebrating their ten year anniversary. Ten years together with no changes in line up. Band-Maid is in this for the long haul and the relationships they have built within the band and with their fans is something we can all take notice of. These ladies write and perform some excellent rock&roll music. They have a huge, deep catalog of songs to suit every taste ranging through pop, prog, punk, jazz, metal, thrash, folk-metal, they go all over the map and do all of it to perfection.
I remember your look at Band-Maid a year or so ago and its nice to see your very nice appreciation of their talents at the time is still there. This song was called 'HATE?'.
Band-Maid as well as Babymetal are the fire crackers under the butt of anything musical the world has to offer today, in my humble opinion. There is something magical about the freshness as well as the genuine joy they radiate. They both are writing history.

I watched your other Band Maid reactions long ago and always wondered why you never got back to them. Misa, bass, is called "the barefoot assassin" by the Maidiacs. Watch NO GOD live, if you really want to hear Misa.
Band Maid is my favorite but if you want to see another great all female band watch Lovebites. Try THE HAMMER OF WRATH from the Knockin' At Heaven's Gate live concert. BM is rock, LB is metal. You won't regret that either.

You dont need to worry about complementing our Maids appearances :) We all have our favs we think are the cutest or hottest- and it stands aside from how amazing they all are as musicians and people. Japanese people and most of the fans of their bands are not the sort to buy into any of the current western nonsense you often find online.
You know they are great musicians too!
The only thing we fans hate is people who dismiss them because of their outfits or because they are all young women, without even giving them half a chance.

These ladies are FIRE!! Tell me, who is better than MISA (Bass) and Kanami (lead guitar) backed up by Akane (drummer). I’m in LOVE with both Saiki and Miku as vocals. MISA by the way is barefoot (nickname: Barefoot assassin).

Since you’re checking the Japanese music scene listen to a metal core band called Nemophila because they play hard. Start with Dissension if you have a chance of hearing Nemophila.

As for BabyMetal, Gimmie Chocolate is often peoples first view of them but I would not recommend this. The usual video is a band miming and although the song does hint at what BabyMetal is about, I always recommend their song, Headbangerr. There's absolutely no reason for me to advertise Band-Maid after you listened to them once, because they're good enough to only need one video to hook you. So surprise us with a video whenever you want. We'll be there.
As for your question whether we want to watch you react to Babymetal, _of course_ I would love that.
Obviously they're my personal preferences, but I'd recommend to watch _Megitsune_ to get into things, perhaps followed by _Karate_ and then closing off with _Pa Pa Ya_ to give you a well-rounded experience. One _could_ argue to start off with _Gimme Chocolate_ to experience more of their growth throughout. I don't know how much you'll like them, so I'll stick to only a few songs to recommend. If you're still there and want to experience something entirely different, you may want to give the _One Take_ piano version of _Monochrome_ a chance.
