If AP had decided to leave a display back it would be perfect to me. I know more gold, but the chronograph movement is beautiful and would make the watch so much more sophisticated with a sapphire display back in my opinion.
The chronograph movement is nice to see through an exhibition caseback. The solid case does add more gold (and weight) but it also allows for the watch to be only 11mm thick, keeping it thin on the wrist. Either way, the watch is a beautiful timepiece!
the rose gold offshore is 334 gram or .7 pounds... the rose gold ROC is about 250-300 grams or about .5 pounds... i have the rose gold ROC and my favorite thing about it IS the weight!!! thats wat a 56k watch should feel like....

Has this been discontinued? I can only see gold chronos with blue, white, and brown faces

That's not a good enough reason to trade in such a beautiful watch. I think you eventually would have gotten used to it.
