This Instrument is made from Elder Wood by a Slovak maker in the Czech Republic, where the tradition of the Koncovka is kept alive. It is tuned to A3. I bought this particular one on www.danmoi.de/.

Es ist wunderbar- man spürt Etwas was schon immer da war- kaum in Worte zu fassen. Ein Urton der direkt reingeht. Eine Art zu hause sein- sich geborgen fühlen- agekommen sein- man kennt es von irgendwo her. Danke

Edward here, I make harmonic flutes out of PVC and at long lengths (4 to 8 feet), so I'm familiar with the sounds.
The harmonic numbers 9, 10, 8, 2, 3 are known to call extraterrestrials to answer your hail. That was in the plot of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
I like to call it the Creation flute as those tones are that fundamental. Made with math by the hand of God, not by man.
