This video is one of the best and simplest explanations I've seen of these moves. And ya'll are so cute! Thank you so much, I've not been using my fans for a few years and this is PERFECT for brushing up on those skillz! Saving to watch a dozen more times.
A friend left me a pair of fans - it's a bit intimidating after staff spinning, but after watching your tutorial, I definitely want to give it a go! ☺️
Nope, they are the full size Forged Creation fans. Deliberately on the small side for fun techy stuffs! Though Flow DNA on Esty DOES sell mini fans, and they look hella cool!
You are really good at keeping the video entertaining! And I love your edits! 💓 I just can't figure out #3 when I come from bottom to top... maybe I just need to practice more but on my non dominate side it looks so sloppy.
I didn't explain it this way in the video, but the hand in back is going to end up in front when it traces the arm. Not sure if that's the issue your having, but it's a common mistake I see when I teach this in person. Feel free to let me know if you want to specify or need any extra help :D
@@danirei789 Thank you!!! I just had to keep working on it but that mention did help a bit too. I saw you never uncrossed your arms but always use the arm closest to me to spin the fan as you come up? I started using it more and more and I think its looking smoother. I would love to see how to do the body traces if you have a video already made or thinking of the next tutorial? I would love to see how you explain it. Very sad there is not too many tutorials for fans out there.
O ordered LED fans and they’re so heavy 💀 do you have tips to beginning with heavy fans, or moves you prefer for heavy fans that utilize more momentum?
@@beckydarrow Heavy fans are definitely hard to work with. I'd try to use more static motions (holding your fans and moving them with your arms) than dynamic ones (spins and weaves and such.) You don't have to ONLY do static tricks, but those will be easier on your wrists until you get used to them. Pay attention to your body, too. If your arms and wrists ask you to stop, please do.
Can you share the link to your fans? I'm a beginner and I have a Russian grip fan from house of poi.. I'm unable to do these moves with my fan properly..
Sorry I took so long getting back, but my fans are from Forged Creations. Thy are on the pricey side, but they're super durable and well balanced, so definitely worth the money!
@@danirei789 Hi Dani. Do you recommend doodles more than russian fans? I'm looking into getting my first fan, and I'm afraid that russian will not let me have much grips on techniques. Thanks for your feedback!
@@der8592 Grips are totally a matter of preference. I like the doodle grips because I like to do a lot of folds and techy tricks. Everything I do is definitely possible with Russian grips as well, but those fans are much better for flowy, extra dynamic movement. Neither is wrong, but it's worth finding some examples of performances and tutorials for each one to help you make a more calculated decision.
Love how you just get into it - so many people procrastinate for-ev-er on UA-cam! You just crack on & don't waffle so hooray!
If I can be honest, I'm a total rambler. I just cut out most of it 🤣 Glad it's working for the better!
This is so helpful to come up with a decent flow as a beginner thank you!
I'm so glad to hear it! Thanks for being here!

Of course! forgedfans.com
You can also check out the channel Fire Fan Tutorials by Rem. He uses those exact grips, so you don't necessarily HAVE to buy a new pair
@@danirei789 thanks so much for sharing that!
I know the tin soldier as "the buzzsaw"
I keep hearing both, so maybe I should've acknowledged both in the video. Something to keep in mind.
