I finally got one of these... Awesome!! And using your review as reference for stuff i couldn't figure out etc Hope you had a good Pulsecon day Tman, have a great weekend!
Great review. I initially got the desert tan version from pre-order and was a bit underwhelmed. It is a solid vehicle but a little too plain. I did buy the grey version when it went on sale for labor day. I like that color better. I agree with a lot of the assessments you made.
I agree. If you had to choose one go with the gray version. I bought gray, tan, and muddy tan. This esthetic doesn't really do it for me in desert tan. Muddy tan look significantly better but I still wasn't completely satified. I couldn't put my finger on it at first but realize the desert squad looks much better in an actual Humvee or MRAP. I was put onto the HG RC 1/10 Humvee and it works perfectly. It's pricey but the Valaverse desert troops look like they were made for. Its actually the same scale as the Vanguard being its closer to 1/11 scale.
@TMan978 Yeah, the Tan Reaper driver didn't make the cut on the desert squad. The gray Reaper driver looks better once the head is swapped, and you add a gear pack. Also, the series 5 gear pack may work since it's green and black. I sold the standard tan and also put the muddy version up for sale on eBay now.
Hola! Usually I like valaverse stuff I have some of figures but I know he is a small good company but I can't afford that right now lol! It's not mid but to me looks to be a retail type toy. Nice review 🎉
It's the little things about this release that has be scratching my head.. The gun that doesn't tilt and no holster for the handgun just odd.... For a first attempt it does look cool.
Here's the thing... If it was reasonably priced at $100, the scalpers would buy them all and we'd end up paying $200 anyway. Just like 86 Ultra Magnus.
@@TMan978 Maybe you're right. But this truck is still in stock at BBT. If companies set retail prices too low. Toys like Classified Serpentor instantly go out of stock (For preorders). And end up on the secondary market.
@glasswolf0162 I don't know about all that. I wouldn't want them artificially inflating the prices just so scalpers won't buy them. That would be nuts if this thing could sell for $90 but they decide to make it $190 to stop scaffolders. 😆
Low production is what caused Ultra Magnus absent. The police station 5 was 500 bucks and people were scalping left and right because of low production
I love mine. Yeah it dosent have all of bells and wistles but hey its basically a playset for my figures. I want something to will do the job and its affordable. I never even contemplated getting ANY of the haslabs cause they are just to extensive and take up way to much self room. Their figure to vehicle size ration is bloody terrible. The vanguard is fantastic. its close too one to one. 10 or 11 action force figures on their stands take up almost as much space as the vanguard. that's how vehicles should be. ESPECIALLY AT THIS SCALE. 2 his tanks on a shelf take up the whole thing and hold what? 3 to 5 figures per? If I use two cheap 3 tier display benches I can fit like 20-30 figures in that space. I can fit 20ish figures on two vanguard that take up slightly less space and If I remove the doors and angle the vehicles right you can see ALL of the figures to some extent. If I had a dragon fly docs crappy terribly thought out stretcher would be going on the hoods of my vanguards instead of where ever your supposed to mount that thing on the dragon fly. Which is what that stetcher was probably design to ONLY do. Not say be held by two figures who are carrying a figure to a vehicle for extraction. No not that, it would be practcle and make sense.....Hasbro doesn't do that with military toiy accessories since 2014. No its too short for most 6 inch figures (it feels like its meant for a 5 inch figure) AND it bends the wrong way in the middle so if you put a figure on it it just bends in half....sorry Im still having anger issues over that as you can clearly tell.😂😂
@@loganholmberg2295 The vanguard takes up the same amount of space as the HISS. Using Valaverse rules of people hanging off the vehicle as being passengers, I've gotten nine people on the HISS. But I'm not going to be making them compete because you can own both things and still be happy. I own GI Joe and action force at the same time.
The figure is basically a throwaway or custom fodder. The detail and design is basic. Not worth $185 - no lights, poorly designed turret, and horrible interior. The Ramen Racer and HISS Tank are far better. I know they are more expensive, but I’ve also seen people compare this to a $99 Vamp, which is almost half the cost.
I disagree with your statement. The figure is far from a throwaway and kills most classified or other 1:12 scale in articulation. All your other opinions are yours, but this vehicle is ripe for customizers to make their own without spending another 300 dollars for other parts.
Awsome! Great Chill Review ✨️😀🍿

I wouldn't end up paying that much. If I'm not mistaken it's seems like they made as many as people ordered.
They also don't have a problem reissuing.
