    Try sinking a little bit with the weight and losing some tension in your arch in order to rebound while keeping your butt on the bench, then using your lower back and leg drive to throw up the weight the first inch before your arms take over.

    I lifted at your age I was happy to bench double my body weight (315lbs)You're on track Keep going!! Gains will come! Remember diet and rest are important too!

    This is even good for a everyday gymrat in the 20s to do this at 17 is very good man don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
