You have explained this gimbal in a comprehensive way. Your tutorials are easy to understand. Please make more and more videos like this , especially on DSLR photography.
I’ve only used the karma grip stabilizer with my older GoPro before. But I just got one of these, and had no clue how to use it. After looking at several tutorials, I still had no idea how to use it.😅 Thank you for this thorough but concise tutorial. It was exactly what I needed to get started. You explained it thoroughly, but simply. Thank you so much.
dont know why this video does not have more views. i have jusr got a isteady pro 3 for my hero 4 first time useing a gimble this is a very good teaching vid about the differant modes and how they look ect. well done
This is a very good and thoughtful review. Now, could you do one for the Inkee Falcon action cam gimbal? All of the reviews I've seen so far seem to have been done by folks in the Far East or Asia , and I can't always understand them.
James, I buy many of the products I review and get a few from suppliers. Since I already have several gimbals and not a lot spare cash, I'm not in the market for another. Some vendors have provided review items. If you'd care to email the supplier and tell them what you told me and suggest they send one to me, I'd be pleased to do the review! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanx for the great video. I have the Osmo Action and I am not really happy with its stabilization properties. So I am debating between getting the iSteady 3, and replacing my OA to the GO2, which is tiny and so much easier to carry around than an action cam and a gimbal. What would you recommend?
Guy, I'm not sure what a GO2 is but I'm assuming an action camera. Much depends on the camera's EIS and how much movement you as the videographer make. Pan shots and slow walks are well within many camera's EIS. On the other hand large movements and running will likely exceed most camera's EIS. Small gimbal combos like the Feiyu Pocket do pretty well and are quite discrete. If you like the Osmo brand, they have one, too. I have the Feiyu and it certainly is easier to carry around. I did a review on it on the channel. Enjoy the search!
I haven't tried upgrading firmware. The instructions say to connect it to the app on your phone and then follow the instructions on the app. I don't use a GoPro so haven't tried the wifi with one. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I have same issue I cannot update firmware from 1.002 to higher. I followed all procedures, but there is no firmware to choose nor a serial number of the device is shown, while in normal mode serial number is shown in Hohem app. BTW I am not happy with this gimbal, stabilization is not perfect, I got wobbling and jerks, I tried all setups, but still i got those issues. I am the owner of other gimbals ( DJI Ronin rs2 and Cinepeer c11) and they run much smoother than this gimbal. I tried to put a 15g lead to counterbalance my osmo action 3 and seems a little better. Anyway, if I gimble does not give smooth footage what is made for after all?😑
Unlike smartphone gimbal that use a camera app to communicate with the gimbal and camera, action cam gimbals don't normally connect to the camera via wifi. Some gimbal might do a basic connection with a GoPro, but that's about it. You can connect your gimbal to the phone via Bluetooth and phone to the camera via wifi. Two apps and two connections. Otherwise control one or the other remotely and the other manually.

I’m looking for a gimbal that has ai auto tracking that’s compatible for my go pro hero 8 black and smartphone(I phone 12 pro max). Any suggestions??
hi i'm having trouble updating the firmware, do you know how to do it properly? Also, do you try the gopro wifi connection?

How to connect Akaso Brave 4 via wifi to iSteady Pro 3? Thanks in advance.

@@GadgetTalk4U Thanks indeed for your explanation. Highly appreciated.👍👍
trying to connect my phone on bluetooth it says pairing rejected by Gimbal _ 18 , so what now
Sorry but that thing is just horrible. We tried it with our action cam and the footage was unusable. It is nowhere as good as people are making out.
