Jack White is at a point is in his career where he’s doesn’t have to prove himself anymore and can let his creativity be as wild as he wants, especially since Boarding House Reach. I love Fear of the Dawn and can’t wait for his next album in a few months!

I’ve always thought the “doesn’t have to prove anything” line was a nice way of saying the artist is now so loaded they are just making records for themselves and if people happen to like it that’s cool too.

How should something be, or rather how people want to play music? I don't think these two things necessarily have to be connected. Music should be a form of art. However, music can be used as a form of therapy. We have music as an art, which can give us an escape from reality. And, my friend, that's why you have people who will play music all night for hours, and not because they are a drunk and they are getting high, but because they have no better way of coping with the way they see their reality. I'm not saying that people are like that, but sometimes it takes a form of art to get you to a good place in yourself. A lot of people think the way they feel, or the way their reality is, is the way the world is. They feel like this world is an alien place, so they don't understand it. That's why it takes a form of art for them to be able to see things in a different light, or to have them see things in a different light. That's where music comes in. You can hear a song and hear the words and then you have a sense of closure. Then, at the end of the song you have closure. I feel like you have to go in with an open mind, and once you have that closed mind you'll never have anything else.

Dude seen Jack White a week ago at our hometown and it was the best experience I've had in years. Jack White and his band fucking killed it. The energy was at a million right from the start. And yes, I probably pulled a muscle in my neck and needed about 4 days to recover from all the dancing and jumping I was doing. This is all because of how great the music was. Jack White puts on a hell of a show and he will go down in history as one of the greats. If you can see him live, I can't recommend enough to see him on this tour. Oh and I got to witness him marrying Olivia Jean on stage. Amazing evening that I will always remember. I give this album a 9. Thanks for the review

I'll honest, this was the first time I've loved a Jack White album since Icky Thump. His previous solo efforts didn't really grab me (also, not really into The Raconteurs or Dead Weather), but after a couple of listens, I feel this album flows really well into each other and feels more cohesive. It's definitely more accessible than Boarding House, and frankly, I'm relieved the entire album has no real weak spots. I was also listening to A Tribe Called Quest albums recently and was pleasantly surprised that Tip was featured.

Also I haven't given a shit about Jack in a while but this is super creative and weird. I think boarding house reach had to happen for this. This is the album where the experiments came together in a new way.

Anthony, you should review Prince Daddy & the Hyena's newest record. I think you will like the vocals on this one better than their last record.

I feel like this album is the Amnesiac to the Kid A that was Boarding House Reach. Like, a lot of this is still in the same vein of experimental rock music, but it just lacks a cohesion that the previous project did, as if these were the rejects from the previous project (even though I know that's not the case).

I would like a review of Kavinsky's Reborn and/or a redo of Outrun which I think you were particularly harsh considering how it influenced the 80's/synthwave sound.

Melon, Hi-de-ho is new school big band energy. Silly, self deprecating, innocent, warm and undeniably danc-y. Perfect antidote for the era we’re in. I can’t stop playing it. 💙

I did listen to the album, and while no single track really stood out as a favorite, I definitely was able to let the whole album play out from start to end without interruption, and I think that is an accomplishment in and of itself. I'll certainly give the album another listen.
