If they took the engine for this game, expanded the map a bit, and added online gameplay similar to a rockstar game, they’d have a gold mine

If Hogwarts Legacy 2 is a live service game it'll scream the WB execs are money grubbing idiots. All of their live service games together don't come close to Hogwarts Legacy sales. It's ridiculous to think the sales from Hogwarts Legacy isn't enough, so they want to make it live service to try to make more. If it cost 100 million to make Hogwarts Legacy that sounds alot. In hindsight thought Hogwarts Legacy sold over 25 million copies at $70 so that's over 1.7 Billion in sales. So give us a single player sequel to Hogwarts Legacy and they'll see at least the same and likely even higher profits.

WB is over 50 billion dollars in debt. They are going to money grab everything before they sell off their company.

Legacy was absolutely amazing. But, like most movies turned games. Extremely underwhelming in the replay ability .

@@WesNemo I absolutely LOVE Harry Potter. Grew up reading the books as they came out. (I'm 33) regardless. Once you play the game through all four houses. It's not the same as re reading the series.
But that initial playthrough is worth the price and time. Everything can't be a damn FPS.
Needs dlc added to hogwarts and new things in exsisting world and new areas. New clothes and stuff

I am still confused why everyone wants to make live service games. No one will play the same game for a year straight. Once you beat it your done with it. By the time they madd more stuff it will be a year and a half. And we will want diffrent gameplay
I think these executives believe most gamers behave like MMORPG or competitive FPS players and only play one or 2 games all the time

It depends on what game though... live service need to be mmos with basically no story usually with a varied roster. One player story focused games need to stay that way. They're idiots.
I hope there is a mission arc in the sequel that involves the Chamber of Secrets we have someone that can open the Chamber and we have a note telling us about it the only rules they would have to follow is the Basilisk can’t get out of the chamber or be killed and the chamber must still remain largely unknown to the public Ominis Gaunt has a grandfather named Corvinus Gaunt he could be one of the antagonists he even helped keep the Chamber secret in the late 1700s when the plumbing was installed

I'm hoping HL2 and a live service game will be kept separate. Its inevitable that they will release an MMO or something for the Wizarding World, but with the storylines and gameplay in HL, I think they could go even further and better with the sequel. And as you said: let Avalanche cook!
I hope the choice and customisation of wands has effect on boosts you get.
So certain wand modifications give extra damage, some give better utility skills, some give better defensive spells
In real wizarding life the wand chooses the player and i think if the wand will match a certain playing style it gives a more realistic experience
If it's live service I won't buy it.

It will happen like this: HL2 will release with live-service, HL1 will become more popular and make HL2 obsolete. The Execs still won’t learn and do the same thing to other games.

If they really want live service, all they gotta do is make an MMORPG of the hogwarts legacy world and they’re golden. Players are looking for an experience like OSRS, WOW, etc and this would be the perfect world to do it in with plenty of constant updates available. Would the overhead be nuts to put it together? Of course. But the long term value for adding PC players too would be insane
I think money's tight for most people right now. In 5 years I strongly suspect it will be far tighter. With that said, in 5 years I highly doubt there will be any live service games anyone will play that require money to get past pay walls
I do hope that it becomes into another game , but with multiplayer and with more newer stuff.
Like branching into the fantastic beasts and living among them.
But with a crafting feature.
And also giving us the ability to send owls to each other.
And having newer classes and maybe newer houses for us to live in.

Given the disastrous state of the Western economy due to the insatiable greed of the management of large companies, I do not expect anything good from the continuation of suddenly successful games. King Midas turned everything he touched into gold, and corporations into a foul-smelling substance.
When Warner Bros was taken over by the crappy low quality Discovery Channel that was the end of any quality production of games or shows from the studio. CEO David Zaslav is only about corporate profit and nothing more and creating great games is expensive and not on the table anymore with this new greedy management. Consumer happiness now comes last on the to-do list with investor and CEO mega profits now the only real goal.
I just want NG+ so I can playthrough without having to get any of the collectibles(merlin trials) and experience more of the combat

There was never DLC planned for this game. It was said before the game released and after the game released. All we are getting is PlayStation exclusive content being made available to other platforms. All this was already stated quite some time ago.
HOGWARTS LEGACY should've went with the idea of making it a story mode/ online PvP game, I mean like imagine the success rate that it would've recieved even more than it already did with online interactions
I could see using this game engine for an MMO set in and around Hogwarts, but you certainly wouldn't have a character quite as OP as your Legacy character (Mine was modeled after Tommy Chong and named "Hairy Pothead") - Imagine if you started as a first year, and the House Cup tokens were actually a thing you worked for through gameplay, and characters actually advanced from one year to the next by completing enough classroom quests and stuff instead of actual time passing ingame.
And not everyone would get access to the ROR, that's for sure. At least, you'd have to make it a randomized quest line, different for every player, and if they did the right quests they would eventually find the room. (It's supposed to be hard to find, so locating it should be a sort of personalized mini quest arc instead of just "Go to this hallway and walk back and forth, and it will appear)
I would love a multiplayer game that way you can a companion to fight battles with you
I just want the unforgiving spells to not have a limit on consoles. It makes no sense to have a cool down. Sure, gamers will overdo it and only use that. But shouldn't that be out choice. Some will adhere to regular rules of using different spells, and others will avada away anyone, anytime, all the time.

@@Terry2A Too much hassle for something that should’ve been in the game. The movies or books has no cool down, but obviously the game had to have it cause it was 2023 and game characters have feelings…
Agreed I'm thinking a simple toggle option in the settings menu for the spells cool down you could put it on 0% for every spell so there's no cool down at all or 100% so it stays the same also I wanna use the unforgivable curses on everything I can target normally it sucks that I can only use them on enemies I wanna just aim my wand and shoot off an Avada Kedavra in to the sky for no reason whatsoever in the middle of hogsmead

Rocstar makes game and then they give live services as well. Just need to do the same thing.
I know it's too much to ask but they've already created the decors and there's already a game that shows us all the schooling or almost in the Harry Potter universe with the game Hogwart mystery, It could Implement what's Is In this mobile game with everything they've already brought in Hogwart Legacy but in their own way it would make so much a better game than what they've offered us since

Doubtful. People are largely turning away from live service games as a whole. On top of many games in general being woke messes- Hogwarts Legacy 2 being live service will backfire on them badly. Especially since Avalanche Studios is having ESG forced upon them.

Need consequences for decisions in the game, I need to be able to adjust my characters body shape and size, I need a different running movement 😂I need more than 1 voice to choose from. Oh and there's no reason why brooms fmshould be that expensive

Why not make a multiplayer game of Hogwarts Legacy and give the monthly subscription. If they put it at cap 10 euros per subscriber per month and they have 25 milion people playing the game, I think it would be profitable enough.

This game was so repetitive I never finished the game. The Castle was the only good thing I liked about it.
I loved this game so much! Put so many hours into it! If part two is live service, I will be highly disappointed.
