Patan & Bhaktapur - Diving Into Local Culture | Van Life Nepal | The Hippie Trail #56
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- This week we have arrived in the Kathmandu Valley and before visiting Kathmandu itself, we are going to have a look at Patan and Bhaktapur.
Both cities can be compared to each other, for example they both have a Durbar Square, but they are very different.
To visit Patan we leave Boris in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur we visit with Boris before driving on to Nagarkot.
But Nagarkot... that's for next week!
Enjoy this one and... be kind, always!

Who are we?
We’re An and Yves, a Belgian couple who share a passion for travel en adventure.
Over the years we took a couple of gap years on different occasions and right now we're travelling the hippie trail, which started on January 1 2023!
As said this is not our first travel experience but three years ago we started sharing our stories on UA-cam and Instagram. There has to be a first time for everything!
Our goal is to inspire you to follow your passion (big or small) and to see and experience the world with your own eyes.
By sharing our stories we hope we can inspire one another on their own journeys.

Looking forward to the foodblog. It would be fun to see a fusion between Belgian and Nepalese food.
Not sure if these two cuisines would match 😏...
That sounds like a challenge to me

Great chilled out video.

Welcome to Nepal 🎉
Thank you 🙏!
KTM, without Buffalo's meat foods , is incomplete, I think.
We're vegan, so no buffalo for us...
❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching 🙏!
I love Bhaktapur also. Did you try Juju Dhau (King Curd) ?
What a fabulous adventure you're having!
No, we didn't try the king curd since we're vegan... Thank you for watching!
Dude you resemble a lot like Jimmy Anderson.. anyway have a fun trip.
Is this a compliment 🤔😉!? Thanks for watching!
@@AFlaneursQuest indeed it is, he is one of the best bowlers England has ever produced. 😊He is in the squad of India vs England test series going on rightnow.
PS forgot to say An … love your fleece and it really suits you🩷
...and it's so cosy!!!
Aww it looks it 🥰
Visit mona art museum aswell .it houses nepals spiritual art culture
We'll try to squeeze it in!
I think you missed some area to visit in bhaktapur durbar..
We're pretty sure we missed a lot of things, but NOFOMO! Thank you for watching!
Welcome to Nepal. I always had this burning question to people who travel all over the world - how do you manage to drive in both sides (right and left) when you travel across continents? Don't you get confused sometimes? :)
It's always easier when you're with two in the front, one drives and the other one looks out for ongoing traffic and gives the thumbs up when it's safe to overtake.
did you guys go to the freak street ?
Of course we did, in one of the following vlogs! Thank you for watching!
@11:50, thats not instrument I guess. That sounded like a blanket making vendor..Home service
Thanks to clarify this!
Next travel where
We will stay a little longer in the Kathmandu valley before driving to Pokhara. Thank you for watching!
😂Both couples are very welcome in Kathmandu
thank you!
Hello sir I wanna meet you i am at Kathmandu
We're almost leaving, right now in Pepsi Cola. Thank you for watching!
Try other momo flavours, they are tastier. Using hand to eat momo is so indian 😂.
We will try other ones during our food tour in a couple of weeks, stay tuned! And... eating momos using your hand is so Indian, and ... European!!!
Complaining about the tourist fee is pretty low...
😢
Not really... Imagine there is a fantastic restaurant in Durbar Square, but you have to pay a fee every time before you can eat.
Doesn't seem very conducive to local businesses....
But of course, this is just our opinion - there are no doubt others out there as well!
i like Bhaktapur but too many motorbikes and scotoors honking horns.. it should be banned in those area, or replaced by e-rikshaw or bicycles
Nothing compared to India though! Thank you for watching!
@@AFlaneursQuestWhich do you prefer me to go first? You fav tho:)❤
@@everythingisW444 Both are worth a visit, Patan is bigger and Bhaktapur smaller. But if we really had to choose, we would go for Bhaktapur (but don't skip Patan!).
@@AFlaneursQuest I mean Nepal or India?:)
@@everythingisW444 Probably going back to India if we get the visa sorted. And to be honest, how much we love India, we still prefer Nepal...
If you visit western side Nepalgunj city please let us serve you our culture !! If possible pass your contact mail
Unfortunately we're not coming your way because there're only certain border crossings we can use as a foreigner...
❤❤
Thanks you for watching!
