    Gamos are incredible for what they are. Very underrated as a tool for backyard pest removal. Folks often opt for a .22lr when these things are just as capable but not as noisy and they don't carry as many penalties as say firing off a .22lr in areas that might trigger a Karen.
    They were a gateway into real guns when I got mine back in my teen years.

    • @stanpotter7764
      @stanpotter7764 4 місяці тому

      They are nowhere near as capable as a .22lr in terms of power or trajectory.

      @@stanpotter7764 of course a compressed metal spring won't compare to the power stored in combustible gun powder, but the .177 caliber Gamo can kill everything from birds to fox sized game without triggering Karens in an urban environment which was the point of my post, and that they're underrated for that task.

      definitely a gateway into powder, and I'm in my 30s. Also Im a city schmuck so give me some time but I'll catch up.

    Have one in 177. Kills squirrels like no tomorrow. The magazine was the selling point

    I have the Gen 2, it's nice because you can take the magazines out or have extras in your pocket and just load it. One or two of the other 10 or or 13 capacity guns I think don't allow you to take the magazines out? The third-gen is a good improvement. I think everybody should have at least a decent air gun.

    That looks like a fantastic rifle. It looks really made well, and maybe would even be good for smaller game, too.

    That foam block is interesting. Normally you have to lay your hand between the gun and rest to not throw off the shots as it recoils. I've tried shooting bags with rolled up towels with some success. I've seen people use thick paint rollers. I still get the best and most consistent groups with my hand on the rest like the artillery hold. Also have the best luck with JSB Exact Diablos in 15.89 grains. I can get dime size groups at 25 yards pretty easy.

    I have the whisper 10x in 22 and ill say this, its just as deadly as a 22 lr for small game....trust me. I use crosman 14.3 grain hollowpoints. Nothing else.

    I had that exact same foam block rifle rest, got a short tri pod now, when shooting in even a gentle breeze, pick up my rifle to cock it, the breeze would blow the rifle rest over, cool idea, not fun on even gentle breeze days though

      I’m thinking for getting a gamo .22 for pest control I’m new to air rifles and looking for something somewhat quiet do you have a recommendation

    • @woofman4796
      @woofman4796 4 місяці тому

      @Breadtoast-wb5iw if you have no shoulder issues, either the gamo swarm magnum in 22, or the bone collector swarm, either will do, the swarm magnum would be my choice, 👍

      For most break barrels 50yds is the high end of accuracy without making windage and distance adjustments

    • @trevorjameson3213
      @trevorjameson3213 Місяць тому

      Yes, it's easy to remove the swarm system. There are two small pins holding it on, just punch them out and remove the thing. It's a nice idea to have multiple shots, but mine was constantly screwing up and getting jammed, or, not loading a pellet into the chamber. One thing I really like about the Gamo rifles is that they shoot pretty much any pellet very accurately. Not pellet picky at all. You would be impressed with the accuracy I think.

    hi, congratulations for the video, I have a question, I hope you can help me because I can't find any information, I have the gen2, the barrel has a silencer which I don't like, I would like to mount the barrel of the GMAGNUM 125O without the silencer, therefore it has the longest barrel, in your opinion between does the 2 20 centimeters more or less long make any difference? I believe compressed air has the same rules as powder guns. I hope you will give me an answer, thanks and greetings from Italy
