Great video as always Rick.
Thanks for the review. Can i ask what little tool kit that is you use to install the scope?
only 15 yards, I laugh a lot about that, you have to make groups at longer distances, with that rifle I make good shots up to 87 yards
You king douche aren’t you
Took me a bit to get that technique & sight it then, now I'm same hole at 20 yards.
Looking good Rick I'm glad you're feeling better my friend !!
Rick,
I recently heard about the idea of rifle scope magnification for various yard ranges. What do you think about this? Do you use a fixed (3x, 4x, etc)? Or, do you use variable power scope (3-9x, 4-12x, etc)?
Speaking only of non-electric (NV, Thermal, etc) glass optics - What is the best magnification for various disciplines?
Pigeons/rats/mice inside 25 yards
Small game at 25-50 yards
Ground squirrels, rock chuck, etc about 50-75 yards
Coyote, pig, etc. approximately 75-100 yards
Deer out to 150 yards
(Keeping in mind that we're using air rifles with sufficient power for a clean kill)
Thanks for the great instructional, Rick
All I wanted here is to see how to focus the scope. I saw a video that told me to rotate the lens cap but I did not believe that and the manual is fuzzy too. Thanks for showing me lol
As I am looking to get int airguns you answered a question I hadn't thought about much. I live at about 8400ft in Colorado so the choice of PCP or Breakbarrel is now clearer. It would seem that PCP will be a better choice for this altitude. Please keep up the great contents.
awesome rifle there buddy !!! great show too as always bro !!!
Isn't that stock designed for your offhand to hold it against your shoulder?
Yup.. Rick only got to his 2nd target ald already he started shooting some small smiley faces on paper.. Perfecting it all with a tear drop beside the left eye (which he hit twice btw)..😂👍🏻
I saw a video where he was getting 800 fps with 18 gr pellets. My gen 3 hits barely over 700 with 18’s. Although my 177 gen 3 always seemed more powerful but yet to chrono.
hi, great video. Can you detach the silencer? If so, how much does it affect accuracy? Thanks!
Hey there. No the suppressor is not removable. It does not affect accuracy that I can tell. Of course there’s no way to tell either. ;)
Cheers

In your opinion how many pellets does it take to break in a gun. Cheers
All depends on the gun. The new Gamo guns don’t need much break in at all. Maybe 100 rounds or so?
Cheers

Great video thnx for sharing!
- Is it possible to add a bipod to it? if so wich one?
Hey there. Adding a bipod will cause more issues than it would help. These guns require a lot of skill to shoot accurately and you need to hold them vs use a rest, bipods, bags, etc.
Hopefully that helps.
Cheers

@@AirGunWeb Thnx for the advice! Great Rev btw! Keep up the good work!
What is new with this model?
Or should we just buy older models?
Love your videos. Very informative. Oveall great content. Do you know the diameter of the transmfer port on that model? Thanks in advance. Regards
This really seems like a solution to ammo shortages and high prices for shooting fun.
Yea I hade that Magnum and it's just way too much power to make it shoot accurately. The swarm Bone collector is way more accurate @ 22ftlbs it's plenty good .
I wish you could add Daisy Hollow Points .22 cal to you lineup of pellets. I use these pellets in all of my PCPs and have been wanting this break barrel but if it doesn’t shoot them well then there is no point for me to buy it. The Red Fire are the same weight and made in the same factory and may even be the base pellet for the Red Fire but still…the Red Fire do not shoot that great out of my PCPs.🤷♂️
привет из ЛАТВИИ. Скажите какой размер отверстия перепуска в цилиндре винтовки -3.2 ,3.5 , 4.0 мм?
I have a177 I like great gun it’s a good gun
Hi Rick is there any way You could do a thorough testing of slugs that may perform well in the gamo swarm magnum Gen-3i? I see a few videos of guys shooting slugs with different swarm generation airguns with varied results but it seems possible if certain slugs function well in the magazines that slugs could up the potential to get a little better distance shooting out of these gas ram guns than a traditional pellet. Some people say using lighter slugs in break barrels can work well though results obviously vary from gun to gun. There are so many different slug options in .22 with slug weights from 13-40+ grain slugs and slug diameters vary too from .216 to .218 with .217 in between. Honestly the way slugs perform in some of my PCP's for distance shooting I would prefer to shoot slugs over traditional pellets if they could function well. Can You do some testing with different slug weights and different slug diameters to narrow it down to what may work well and what isnt worth trying. I would love to see you make a video testing multiple slugs in a Swarm Magnum gen 3 to see the results!!! Thanks for any consideration or input You have about this! I really believe the swarm magnum have enough power to shoot slugs and though I know the barrel is choked I have seen choked air rifles shoot some slugs as well as pellets and in the case of my Hatsan AT-44 Long QE it shoots slugs even better than pellets!
ive tried them, in this exact gun using the lightest weight H&N slugs. they dont work.. idk why but i think maybe they don't have enough engagement with the rifling.
Question!
My gamo's lost power.
any suggestions?
Do you have access to a chrony to test it? What kind of shooting have you been doing and with what ammo?
Cheers

Ok so you need to bring the scope adjustment down but the scope is all the way adjusted down as far as it will go so what do you do to fix that ????
Turn it more. It wasn’t out of adjustment, just stiff. Their should have been text on the screen stating such.

What about Gamo 45 pcp 25 pcp I can’t find eather
Amazon delivers mine tomorrow.
How you like it? I get mine tomorrow too now 😬
Why does mine chew up seals? Where do I get replacement ram seals I got some on Amazon but it only lasted about 50 shots
That's very odd. Have you processed the compression chamber? Also, what pellets are you shooting? Are you putting anything in the chamber to cause the gun to diesel? Let me know when you can.
Cheers
AGW
it does not use ambient air for the IGT piston, it's a closed gas filled loop
The gas ram utilizes a sealed pressurized chamber. BUT the compression chamber, the part of the gun that’s used to create the pressurized air to propel the projectile, DOES use air at whatever atmospheric pressure is relevant at the current elevation. When the gas ram is released, it compresses the air in the compression chamber to fire the pellet. If that air is “thinner” it will not generate as much force as “thicker” air. Hence the drop in velocity at higher altitudes.
Cheers

@@AirGunWeb thanks for clarifying. Using air to compress gas to move a piston seems wasteful
- hey there. I don’t think you are getting the mechanics of how these work. The gas ram is no different in function as a metal spring. There is a heavy piston with a parachute seal at the end that‘s at the end of the spring/ram. When you cork the gun, you are pushing the piston back towards the rear of the gun compressing the “spring” (or ram/same difference). This draws in the “charge” of air into the compression chamber. When you pull the trigger, the gas ram/spring drives the piston forward causing the seal to open tight against the wall of the compression chamber. The pressure builds nearly instantly driving the pellet out the barrel. To get more power you can do a couple of things.
1. Bigger cylinder allowing for more air in the chamber. You can do longer or wider, companies have done both
2. Drive the ram faster. This requires a stronger spring / ram making the gun more difficult to cock. And creates more recoil.
The best option is to find a balance between the two.
Hopefully that helps
Cheers

(according to the Internet), Gamo does have out of warranty repair.
👍👍💯
I bought a gamo magnum igt mach1 and the nitrogen piston failed after a year and a half... called gamo to order a piston and a piston seal and they told me they don't sell parts.. 😂 lol... what do you call a car that you cant buy parts for? junk.. what about a motorcycle... how about an air rifle..if you can't buy maintenance items it's junk.. even the Chinese rifles that cost 50 bucks have parts support..I strongly urge you to pick a rifle that you don't have to put in the trash can in a year..
Its a marketing ploy. It's to get you to buy a whole new rifle. Go to airgun spares. They have any gamo part you need. I rebuilt by gen2 swarm magnum and she's doing great!!
@@willwhite2310 thanks for the response.. unfortunately nah..you can't buy the magnum nitrogen piston in the same strength the original is..I found the 33mm piston seal for sale in Australia/England and Spain...but not the original strength/replacement nitrogen cartridge...you see in other countries they have restrictions on how much power jewels are permitted...also..the whisper mach1 33mm and a few other models that carry the 33mm igt mach1 powerplant seems like they are all the same right?.. wrong... totally wrong..the big daddy of them all is the magnum.22 mach1 33mm piston made for the North America market with a longer stroke and the most jewels..it's not available.. period.. would you attempt to open a 5/6 speed manual transmission amd and rebuild it/change gear ratios/new synchros? I do that for fun..I think I know exactly what I need to rebuild this simple rifle and parts needed to make it new again not the mickey mouse way..and parts could not be sourced...learn something and know what your talking about next time.
@@Mikegastaldo airgun spares has the full strength piston. Its the original mach1 piston from gamo. I built my gen2 magnum back from the gas ram to the 33mm piston seal to the breach seal from scratch. Thats what I've been telling you all along. I get 28-29 fpe on my rifle now and she's as precise as they come. (With a good scope ofcourse)... Try them out you'll see see for yourself.
@@willwhite2310thanks for the response...yes airgun spares has a full exploded view of the gamo magnum and sells the nitrogen piston and piston seal..I'm aware of this.. problem is airgun spares is located in England and the laws there are different....in England it is illegal for anything over 12ft pounds of energy..so even tho they have the same models/same rifles...they got no nuts..im scared my rifle would shoot like a neutered dog... you sure? does it still have a 50 pound cocking effort? or is it nice and smooth and easy now.
@@Mikegastaldo its the full power piston I've tested it for myself.
Just re-zero down 2 inches!

@AirGunWeb since you don't understand basic English. You have a docen videos with this gun, and not a single one has info on fps.
Yeah. I understand English. But you seem to lack common courtesy. When we get to the review, which will be on our Gateway To Airguns Channel, we’ll get into all the performance numbers.
Also, there is ZERO performance difference between this gun and the .22 Swarm Magnum. The only difference is the stock. So the numbers from our previous work with the original swarm magnum .22 cover that data. Specifically the GRiP review posted 9/10/22.
If you followed my channel you’d know that in the midst of these videos and when the gun was released I was dealing with chemo and other health issues. I’m just now getting back to full strength and these models are in the queue.

Damn. You're still on here selling used cars.....uh, air guns! Have you said a con about anything yet! I hate phone pop ups. Had to see you again.
Red ammo too light
You talk to mush
If you want to see use gun . Skip first 15 minutes 😂😂 just talking but nothing 😅😅
Too much money for way to much plastic.
Gamo scopes are junk
The news just came out 10 hours ago on KENS 5 San Antonio on you tube.
Hey Rick
Could you spread the news about people shooting at cars traveling on our streets getting shot at.
This is a big concern in San Antonio.
This is insane
People that have air rifles are going to have to start going through a background check when buying an airgun.
This will change on how we buy and sell airguns
So please can you put it out there for the airgun community?
Thanks for your time
Larry
Are they shooting pellet guns, BB guns, airsoft, or splatter ball?

@@AirGunWeb is there any way you can discuss this on your channel?
One cannot legislate or regulate what's in the human heart. Indeed scripture says there is nothing more wicked then the human heart and the only hope is JESUS CHRIST. To legislate more regulations is simply another limit on freedom---- With that attitude one might as well get rid of baseball bats, hockey sticks, baseball's knives forks and pens and pencils for that matter. It's so sad now so many desire peace comfort and security over freedom.
This guy has basic knowledge, but if he’s doing this to targets 20 shots in he don’t really know the mass between the distance and the degrees to cite his scoping. What a shit show not even worth watching really
