I have a bosc monitor and Im using humus coco brick and wood chips but he doesn't seem to dig and his substrate doesn't stick together so im guessing that's the reason why hes not digging, hes around 6 months old, just want to know would reptile clay or sand mixed with coco coir brick be good and healthy for substrate?
I do my friend! Just wanna say ty so much. Do you have a db group page bro? I got a couple questions about breeding business. Leaned a lot from you already
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS Ahhhh gotcha. They are easy to breed too. Though I found out that sometimes the nymphs die off easily. Especially with very fine substrate.
I've had zero luck so far, so gonna try again following all ur tips, hopefully that will work ;) how long does it take on average for a baby to get to sub-adult? thx :D
Same for me. I'm mega tight especially putting more funds into this channel and the animals. Every thumbs up and comment really helps UA-cam push these videos out
Out of mealworms, morio worms and these dubias, which is the best selling and which is the most nutritious for the reptile? I have no reptiles but I do have an empty bank account! I have bred mealworms before as I was a bird rescue centre and they are handy for teaching the birds to eat worms and also as treats. I also found that there was a certain type of tree bark they loved. My dog dropped her stick in one of the boxes once and I left it there as I thought the worms might like to investigate something new. It was less than a day and they had stripped the bark off it. I gave them more sticks but I guess it is only from a certain type of tree and I don't know which tree. Wondered if you might know that. Thank you for your videos.
Hi northern exotics got a quick question for you, could you plz give little detail on how and where one can sell them, would greatly appreciate it if you could and thanks in advance.
I've donated. I looked into doing a video but was worried about the copy right laws attached to it. My video was about doing it for the animals and natural habitats
I need to sort my colony by size now, as I know for a fact I have over 100 females. I need to break down my two colonies into more smaller colonies...Hmmm.
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS my parents cant get it out of their head that they'll escape. I tell em they cant climb and they dont care. I was barely allowed to have mice
Not at the minute because I've sold all my un needed dubia roaches. All I have left is enough to keep my animals going. I am planning on making this larger so early next year they will be available. If you want to breed dubias I have a video that's more in depth called how to breed dubia roaches
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS you did npt say were you got your from and the cost. since you only get 9 sets of kids how do you tell which adult is at end of production.
I sorted them into sizes with the bucket method and simply banged 10 in a tub to pass on. Didn't take to long . Prob a total of 8 hours for all of them. £2500 for 8 hours time. I'd take that
I'd be extremely greatful for everyone's thumbs up and comments on this video

@@ab-in5uj add about 30% sand and keep it humid so it bonds together and it'll be fine. May take a few days to adjust but it'll be all good
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS ideals thanks for the response, much appreciated, I've been through your bosc playlist and it's helped massively, keep it up

Thanks alot for the video info 👍💯
For us Yanks in the US, that's $3234.95. Impressive! Love your videos!
Amazing. Thanks a million. Think I may start breeding on a larger scale lol
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS Yeah I am trying to do that now. Might get a bigger critter keeper so the roaches will be happier. Do you keep red runners at all?
I don't . The only time I use them is when I get a news tarantula to start eating because they don't burrow

probably the roaches. mealworms are good, but they have a lot of chitin on them so it can be a danger to smaller reptiles!
Great video mate! How come you stack the egg crates horizontally as opposed to vertically? Is there any benefit to this?
Souly for enrichment . One month there virticle next month horizontal just something diffrent for them
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS if you have them vertical they last longer
Good on you and good thinking, certainly a great way to make some extra money and so easy to do really.
I was dead shocked with the outcome of this
What do you do to clean them out?

eBay is a good one. I sell to local people I've met through local Facebook groups. I also sell to shops
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS They're local roaches, for local people
You should do a video to support team trees everyone's trying to help it and everyone popular enough on youtube should do it

How much did the 60 cost you
God I can't remember . Prob £15
How do u tell if a baby is a male or female?
You can't matey. Sub adulthood is when the males get the bigger wings
I have hundreds of these. Breeding out of control. 😲 Not found an outlet for them so far in my area
What temperature is your farm?
88 f on hot spot
NORTHERN EXOTICS is that good for breeding
Yea. 85 to 95 is great. Check out my how to breed dubia roaches video. That's more in depth
Do u sell them
Yea. Sold them to shops mainly . And to friends. Also gave alot away to the reptile rescue
Would u sell me some so I can breed them for my Bosc and 5 bearded dragons

I sold to shops and friends. Avoid eBay because it cost to much with fees
How much are you asking for them? For how many?
but you wont get £2,500
you will have the food costs to feed them until ready but you need boxes to sell them in.
All taken into account

I bought 50 adults a month ago and I haven’t seen any males ... should I be concerned???
I saw a male when I in boxed them and then never another one till like a few days go .. but I saw one !!!! 🥳🥳

Use the bucket method and portion them by weight and your good to go.
