Good to see you shoot from the hide and then pickup the kill on the ShotCam, another well put together video. No nonsense and some good commentary, production quality is also top notch.
Just found your channel. Up there with the best mate. Informative and really well presented. Look forward to catching up with your older videos and watching the new ones. 👍
Great bit of shooting mate, not many can shoot rifle, catapult and shotgun to a high standard.. I can’t! Get that shiny watch tucked under your cuff 😂👍
Hiya mate got a question about snares, ive been checking them twice a day and ive lost 4 out of 10 i had down and thinking its fox as everythings still there but the wire, what times do you recommend to check them 👍🏽
@@tommo7494 yeah, sounds like a fox, mate. Make sure your wires are attached to the tealers properly though, because if they aren’t, it’s possible the rabbit could pull them free. Check them first thing in the morning, and last thing in the afternoon / evening, but with the nights getting dark early now, it’s going to be best to check them after dark if you can. Truth of the matter is though, if a fox is taking your rabbits, the only way to stop it is to stop the fox. If a fox finds easy food in a snare line, he’ll keep visiting that area. So it doesn’t really matter what time you check them, unless you strike it lucky with timing, the fox will usually always get to it first.

@@Apocalyptic656 he’s at home and retired now. He’s 13, and not doing too good. That’s why I explain in the video that I mark and pick each long bird so that I don’t lose them. The ones around the pattern were easily found, and in most cases were placed as part of the decoys as they were shot. It’s not like there were hundreds coming in and I couldn’t keep count of what I was shooting.
@@Apocalyptic656 “in most cases were placed as part of the pattern as they were shot” I think it’s pretty clear from the shotkam footage which ones didn’t need to be gone out and picked right away.
Great stuff. Good to see you enjoying the day. Looking forward to seeing the next one. Well done.
