    In this video, we're continuing our mindfulness lessons with Veronica Moya. We're going to be focusing on mindful breathing, and how to practice it throughout the day.
    Last week, we learned about the importance of mindfulness and how to practice it daily. Today, we're going to focus on how to practice mindful breathing. By doing this, we'll help to improve our concentration and focus, and help us to relax and de-stress. Stay tuned for more mindfulness lessons with Veronica Moya!

    Every cell of your body is affected by every thought you have. Negative thoughts affect your body negatively. Positive thoughts affect your body in a positive way, making you more relax, centered, and alert. Positive thoughts cause the secretion of endorphins in the brain and reduce pain and increase happiness.
    What I am trying to say is that having a positive outlook on life is more imperative than we think.
    A lot of young people are affected by depression and anxiety. We can help them shift their attention to something pleasant and positive by encouraging a daily practice of self love and self care.
    This super short meditation sets the tone for the rest of the day. We start the day by repeating a pleasant and uplifting word or phrase several times for 5 minutes. By doing this we plant the seed in our subconscious and we set ourselves up for success.
