There is a couple of woodworking channels I look for ideas when I am doing some kind of work for my customer builds and yours is one of them. Keep up the good work you are awesome!!!
Shara, I love the fact you thought of things in terms of a set instead of each piece at a time. I think you did the same thing for your parents office. Great job! You've motivated me to get out in my own garage/shop and make some sort of attempt at being creative. Looking forward to your next video. I can't imagine your brain resting for very long after completing this one! Thanks for sharing!
Yes! I did do the same for my parent's office. This is actually my third "matching set" and I really enjoy building multiple pieces and trying to tie in various details to make the designs "match" each other. I'd love to do a few more sets in the future! I'm so glad you have been inspired by my videos and projects and I truly appreciate you following along! Happy building!
Very nice finish (to the series)! It's not that you made mistakes, everyone does. It's how you recover. And I thought you handled them well. Nice work!
Nicely done Shara, a complete bedroom set for your parents. Your Mom and Dad must be so very proud of all your hard work and commitment to your business. As always the end product goods great! I enjoy when you stop the action to speak to your viewers concerning the project, I feel it makes for a good personal connection.
Wow! Beautiful project. I love how you use simple and easy techniques. You always remind me that the beauty of a project is not in complexity, but clean cuts, patience, and attention to details. You make each piece unique and stunning. And, as always, video editing and instructions are top-notch!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words! I agree though--the beauty is in the details, and things don't have to be complex. I love keeping things as simple as possible :)
I want to let you know that your designs, your instruction, and perhaps most of all the quality of our videos overall has improved a great deal in the time I have been a sub to this channel. You were never bad at this, it is just that you are becoming really, really good at it.
I really appreciate that! I never knew anything about video (and still don’t know much haha) but I think practice and general trial and error have taught me a great deal. I truly appreciate your kind words and I hope you continue to enjoy the content!
This was a great series and the bed looks fantastic! Your designs for the furniture was very good and I like the clean and simple lines of them. Thanks for sharing this.
You're a beautiful young Lady with an amazing talent for working with wood. I always enjoy watching your creations and love the way you explain everything in detail. This bed looks great and finishes the room nicely. Looking forward to your next work of art.
Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I rarely start out with a "plan" and just kind of figure out how I want to make it as I go. Sometimes it works great and sometimes I have to redo some stuff. But at the end of the day, I enjoy the troubleshooting process :) Thanks so much for watching!
As always, nice job on this matching bed to the series. Bought a kreg rip cut last week. Took a few minutes to figure out but it's nice to not have to measure and it keeps the face out of the wood shrapnel. Making a small french cleat wall for above the new workbench.
That sounds like a fun project! I'm definitely a fan of the Rip Cut (as you can probably tell since it's in like every single video haha). Glad you got one and found it helpful, too!
Really love your designs. Now thinking of doing some woodworking and it's good to see the tools you use get the job done without buying big and expensive machines.
Beautiful design! It is so nice to see an easy bed room set that you can make that is an alternative to using construction grade 2 x lumber from a big box store. Nice clean lines, smooth finish and I love the clear poly you can see the patterns of the wood,
Amazing! Thanks for posting this beautiful and super detailed build, seems like a super fun project, I'm planning to build this for my guest room as well!
I have really enjoyed this series! The maple plywood adds a new dimension to the look. The overall design of the bed is very nice. The center supports for the slats is also a great idea! Your flying leap didn’t even budge it one bit! Lol…. I hope you’ve had a great weekend and Keep on building!
I appreciate it! Thanks so much for watching...I'm glad you enjoyed the design, and I'm glad you noticed the flying leap haha. I wanted to give it a test run and make sure it held up. I hope you have a great weekend as well!
This is a beautiful bedroom set. It was fun to watch you build each individual piece. I'm entirely up for a building duet between you and Sam (my two favorite builders). I'm thinking that a lot of viewers would love to watch you two work together. Happy Labor Day.
Thank you! I’m hoping for the same someday! I’d love to take a road trip to visit @diyhuntress and build something together or have her down to my place sometime. Maybe a 2022 goal 😉😊
I always love your designs, and the way you explain the build so that it “should” be repeatable! Now I just need you to engeneer a Murphy bed that I can build in my daughters room….unless you already have and I just haven’t seen it yet.
I appreciate that! I haven’t tackled a Murphy bed yet…I just haven’t ever had a need to build one. But maybe some day! I’m sure it would be a fun project!
This whole series was great! I love watching each video and look forward to more. I would love to build some of these pieces but I currently do not have the room needed to store and manipulate large sheets of plywood. Thanks for putting all of this together for us. Take care.
I understand not having room for large plywood sheets. My old shop was a little tight for working with large plywood. Sometimes I'd cut them down into manageable sizes outside before bringing them in. But I know that's kind of annoying.
Nice design, from my own painful experience with my self-made bed, I would recommend rounding off the corners at the front more! Greetings-waiting for your next Project!
That set turned out great! Those wardrobes look amazing there too. I can definitely tell your video editing game is coming up from your Skill Share studies :)
@@WoodshopDiaries I mean, I'm kinda missing the basketball shorts with rubber boots thing you had last summer lol. I never could figure out how you didn't end up with boots full of saw dust.
It is! 👍 I set it up and jumped on it (see the end of the video) just to kind of check and make sure everything stayed as it should and it didn’t budge.

But I’ve used a lot of different brands of plywood from a lot of different places and I always use PureBond birch or maple from Home Depot as it’s the best I have found and I have zero complaints with it. Is this frame made for a box spring or is there only room for a mattress?
Only mattress. The frame replaces the box spring
Anyone I can hire to build this and ship this bed frame to me? I live in California.
👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
my only concern with this build is the sheer weight of all that plywood...and also, will the side pieces try to warp themselves?
Plywood…solid wood…MDF…either way it’s all going to have some weight. Any bed will. If sealed and you use cabinet grade plywood, it shouldn’t warp.
Can we have a link for the guide that is one your saw?
