The 'hack' is 100% an inside job. Even if their codebase got hacked, the hacker would also need to have access to their Apple & Google accounts in order to push the update in the app stores. I'd imagine only a number of people would have access to those e.g. SBF, CTO and other technical people very high up on the chain

When I see fraud I always see then explain what they are doing as if someone else is doing it. A lot of time that's the angle they use when trying to get people to go along with them. They explain a scam they have a lot of knowledge about and how the method they use is different and that's when they start using words to make it seem like they are on the side of the people they want to take advantage of.
Seems quite likely that this supposed "hack" was part of a pre-planned rug-pull style exit strategy that SBF had built into the system along with the backdoor.
Do you even know what a rug-pull is? This has nothing to do with such thing. This was a normal "hack scam" situation. We saw this time and time again with other exchanges and projects. Some were even done by white hats.

Well the problem here is people trust the word of a CEO without any proof.
That guy knew all along what he was doing. He figured out the Banks got away with it in 2008 and did it in an even more complicated manner. It just caught up to him.
