981 GTS is such a beautiful well proportioned car with curves and vents sculptured into the door, in this content the 981 looks the more special with two seats midship engine a formula used for years in the best super cars.
It is truly an amazing car and so much fun to drive. However, porsche always makes the 911 more capable. But not having the fastest car can be fun if its so emotional and loud 😊👌

For me a 981 GTS is just the perfect fun car for mountain passes and country roads. I prefer the handling an agility of the Boxster over the 997 Carrera. Awesome video

Great video! I have a 2012 987.2 S in Peridot Metallic with FVD Brombacher Sound Edition exhaust and it is insanely good. Love the flat 6 sound! I am keeping the Cayman and hope to add a 997.2 S to my stable in the near future. 997.2 is the gem of the generations, IMO. Thanks again!
Thank you 😊 sustenpass is also only 80 kp/h. a little bit slow… in the black forest there are some roads with a limit of 100 kp/h and I tell you… every car would fly out the corners going over 80 😅 legal fun!

981 GTS will become highly sought after. It's the perfect blend of raw character and enough refinement and sounds the most throaty and nicest cabin noise across the entire cayman/Boxster history and dare I say, outside of 911 GT cars, even across all Watercooled 911 history (stock for stock wise). 718s are way too refined. Cabin noise wise even the 718 GT4 sound way worse. And the 981 GTS in my opinion sounds better than 981 GT4. If you constantly compare it back to back, youll hear a bit more pops, and the GT4 almost sounds like it's being more efficient with the air. Miniscule difference tho unless you have a buddy that owns both and favourite last time is comparing how the two sound lol

I had a 981 Boxster GTS between 2016 and 2020. now i own a 981 Spyder. Very comparable. Sound of the 3,8 in the spyder ist a little deeper. Both Cars Are the Sweet Spot of modern watercooled Porsche. Walter Said: the 981 GTS is the Best 911! 🎉
Also, the 981 S, I picked one up fully loaded with GTS sports options for £35k. The same condition/miles GTS would be £10-£15k more for the badging and sport design kit (which you can buy for £2.5k). The 987's are cool but engine failures and rebuilds discount them. All the porsche for a fraction of the cost.

What a nice video of trip to Susten Pass....now you have to make one for Furka, Großglockner, Stelvio... My favourite is road from Davos up to Stelvio.Nice to see you enjoy in your car and use it the right way.

Dankeschön :) Das verstehe ich. Ich mag es die Fahrt länger zu zeigen, um das reine feeling vom Fahren auf dem Pass ungefilterter wiedergeben zu können. Gerade weil es 2 Autos sind ist es aber auch hier extra lang geworden :)
Dude, excellent vid. This is the 2nd video of yours I’ve seen and I’m now a subscriber. The 997.2 C2 and 981 GTS are such great cars. They both sound and feel amazing. I’d agree about the torquey motor of the 997.2 as compared to the 981. I went from a 997.2 to a 981S and missed the torque a bit too. The 981 sounds great but the over-run pops and burbles really got annoying after a while. If I kept that car, I would have added a tune to remove them. The pure sound of the engine is really nice and raspy though.
@@ohmyggg thank you mate 😊 both cars are amazing, I was really suprised by the torque of the 997 c2 since it is only a little bit bigger in displacement. I still really like the sound of the 981 and the pops and bangs, however I drive it in Comfort mode and in a chilled manner when I‘m just driving to a location, when I step on the gas then, I want it to be obnoxiously Loud 😊 It did however got a bit annoying after editing this Video for Hours 😂😂
Great Content as usual :) like it 👍 if you will have the opportunity to go there again after your holiday ( currently it seems to snow up there 😢) you can circle all 4 passes which i did some years ago with my 981 gt4. Susten, gimsel, furka, Gotthard-- they are alle connected to each other, more or less without hugh transfer distances. If you get a hotel somewhere in the area you can do it best early morning or late evenings during june 👍 thanks for this content. Keep it going 💪

I'm finally in position where I can afford either Cayman 981S or 718S. From what I read and also what people who actually drives these cars (journos, driving instructors) it seems like the 718 is better car in pretty much every way, except for the engine sound. And I love the sound of the 6cylinder in 981. But overall package of the 718 despite of the 4 cylinder is also really tempting. And I'm torn and don't know what i want more :)
@@berca76 All I can tell you is that I am especially enjoying emotions and fun in a car over maximum performance. That should give you an Idea about my way of looking at cars. I owned a 981S, sold it and bought a 718 2.0 with no OPF Filter & Sports exhaust. And then I sold the 718 again after only 7 months to get a 981 again. This time the GTS and I love it much more. We also did a drive with Porsche Pforzheim and the SoulDrives Channel together trough the Black forest. We had a 992.2, a 992.1, a 718 2.0 Style Edition and some EV‘s… I drove both 911‘s that day and then switched to the 718… the 718 felt so boring to drive compared to both 911‘s because of that 4 Zylinder engine and the lack of sound and the vibrations and Cheaper feel of a 4 Zylinder. Then after our driving Tour, I drove home in my 981 GTS. And the 981 felt even more exciting and fun than both of the new 911‘s because of the engine, sound and the emotions. That really showed me how amazing the 981 actually is. It might have been the slowest car that day. But also the one I‘d take if I have to choose one of them to take it on a fun drive ✌️
@@Souldrives Totally respect that mate. However I want to do some track days because I'm living just few km away from Brno Race track. And not far away is Slovakia Ring. Or RedBull Ring :-) And suddently some more perfomance is needed. However I still didn't decide. One day I'm like "OK I'm totally getting the 981". Next day it's 718... :-D
@ the 718 feels lighter on its feet and my 2.0 with 299hp felt just as powerful as the 330hp 981 GTS. But it had huge Turbo Lag, so it was not as nice in terms of power delivery like the NA Flat 6 is but it was only a base 2.0 and already felt just as fast as a 981 gts. Imagine a 2.5… I‘ve never driven one. If you want to push the limit, the 718 feels like it can do just a bit more of everything, acceleration, cornering and breaking. So… 718 for Track could be better 😊

@@apolloandratti7922 thank you mate 😊 I had a poverty Spec 981S with absolutely nothing. As if you walked into a porsche dealership and said „I‘d like to order a Boxster S… Done! Nothing else 😅 not even heated seats or parking sensors 😂 it had the base suspension and my GTS now has PASM and a Manthey racing alignment 😊👍
@@Souldrives I have had my 981 GTS for 8 years now and until this year I ignored Sport Plus but if you drive it in PDK with the paddle shifters it is a revelation
@@fkoenig13 I‘d say the 981 feels faster and more capable than the 997, but that could be because its PDK, more modern and just overall easier to drive. Would be interesting to feel the 997 on the limit.

The pops and bangs in the 981 ruin the pure Boxer sound for me. Annoying. Apart from that: Beautiful scenery, very respectful driving, nice cinematography. Keep going with that quality.

Tolle Aufnahmen. Und als 987c und 981S Fahrer natürlich zwei tolle Fahrzeuge. Ich finde die Fahrszenen etwas zu lang. Glaube max. 12 min Video hätten auch gereicht 👍
Dankeschön :) Das verstehe ich. Ich mag es die Fahrt länger zu zeigen, um das reine feeling vom Fahren auf dem Pass ungefilterter wiedergeben zu können. Gerade weil es 2 Autos sind ist es aber auch hier extra lang geworden :)
Dude, excellent vid. This is the 2nd video of yours I’ve seen and I’m now a subscriber. The 997.2 C2 and 981 GTS are such great cars. They both sound and feel amazing. I’d agree about the torquey motor of the 997.2 as compared to the 981. I went from a 997.2 to a 981S and missed the torque a bit too. The 981 sounds great but the over-run pops and burbles really got annoying after a while. If I kept that car, I would have added a tune to remove them. The pure sound of the engine is really nice and raspy though.
@@ohmyggg thank you mate 😊 both cars are amazing, I was really suprised by the torque of the 997 c2 since it is only a little bit bigger in displacement. I still really like the sound of the 981 and the pops and bangs, however I drive it in Comfort mode and in a chilled manner when I‘m just driving to a location, when I step on the gas then, I want it to be obnoxiously Loud 😊 It did however got a bit annoying after editing this Video for Hours 😂😂
Great Content as usual :) like it 👍 if you will have the opportunity to go there again after your holiday ( currently it seems to snow up there 😢) you can circle all 4 passes which i did some years ago with my 981 gt4. Susten, gimsel, furka, Gotthard-- they are alle connected to each other, more or less without hugh transfer distances. If you get a hotel somewhere in the area you can do it best early morning or late evenings during june 👍 thanks for this content. Keep it going 💪

@@autodigitvlogs I owned a 981 S without PSE before. Pops are pretty much gone in comparison to the GTS
I'm finally in position where I can afford either Cayman 981S or 718S. From what I read and also what people who actually drives these cars (journos, driving instructors) it seems like the 718 is better car in pretty much every way, except for the engine sound. And I love the sound of the 6cylinder in 981. But overall package of the 718 despite of the 4 cylinder is also really tempting. And I'm torn and don't know what i want more :)
@@berca76 All I can tell you is that I am especially enjoying emotions and fun in a car over maximum performance. That should give you an Idea about my way of looking at cars.
I owned a 981S, sold it and bought a 718 2.0 with no OPF Filter & Sports exhaust. And then I sold the 718 again after only 7 months to get a 981 again. This time the GTS and I love it much more.
We also did a drive with Porsche Pforzheim and the SoulDrives Channel together trough the Black forest.
We had a 992.2, a 992.1, a 718 2.0 Style Edition and some EV‘s… I drove both 911‘s that day and then switched to the 718… the 718 felt so boring to drive compared to both 911‘s because of that 4 Zylinder engine and the lack of sound and the vibrations and
Cheaper feel of a 4 Zylinder. Then after our driving Tour, I drove home in my 981 GTS. And the 981 felt even more exciting and fun than both of the new 911‘s because of the engine, sound and the emotions.
That really showed me how amazing the 981 actually is. It might have been the slowest car that day. But also the one I‘d take if I have to choose one of them to take it on a fun drive ✌️
@@Souldrives Totally respect that mate. However I want to do some track days because I'm living just few km away from Brno Race track. And not far away is Slovakia Ring. Or RedBull Ring :-)
And suddently some more perfomance is needed.
However I still didn't decide. One day I'm like "OK I'm totally getting the 981". Next day it's 718... :-D
@ the 718 feels lighter on its feet and my 2.0 with 299hp felt just as powerful as the 330hp 981 GTS. But it had huge Turbo Lag, so it was not as nice in terms of power delivery like the NA Flat 6 is but it was only a base 2.0 and already felt just as fast as a 981 gts. Imagine a 2.5… I‘ve never driven one.
If you want to push the limit, the 718 feels like it can do just a bit more of everything, acceleration, cornering and breaking.
So… 718 for Track could be better 😊

@@apolloandratti7922 thank you mate 😊 I had a poverty Spec 981S with absolutely nothing. As if you walked into a porsche dealership and said „I‘d like to order a Boxster S… Done! Nothing else 😅 not even heated seats or parking sensors 😂 it had the base suspension and my GTS now has PASM and a Manthey racing alignment 😊👍

@@Souldrives I have had my 981 GTS for 8 years now and until this year I ignored Sport Plus but if you drive it in PDK with the paddle shifters it is a revelation
