Samsung Dex Game Changer!

Samsung dex from a Samsung S21 plugged into a monitor via usb c to have a home desktop setup from a phone. The power of the chip inside the the S21 powering a desktop lite setup to where you can do everything you usually use a computer for but instead have all those great features from your phone.

Dude I just started using DEX and it's INCREDIBLE! I don't understand why it's so underrated or talked about so little. It really is a game changer! Why buy another computer when you can literally have a more powerful one with the phone you already own. lol My mind is blown!

Hopefully, Samsung dex can allow us to split screen like windows like there is no way to lock the split screen u can drag 1 app to the right or left and often another app in split screen view but it's a half-screen floating window like there is no real way to lock 2 3 or 4 apps to split screen so hopefully, they will bring real split screen windows 100% like desktop, and allow us to install apps like procreate devenci r studio r code Linux python would also like to see esc botton work like escape botton and when highlighting or drag text it should work like desktop also would like to see office 365 on samsung dex to run desktop version and not mobile version, I don't exactly expect it to turn into x86 but make it close enough to a 2 in 1. Like if you work with computer and take notes u won't be fine with 1 device u will still need to carry around a laptop, surface is a good solution but then u don't get your mobile stuff and the main purpose of tablet should be a 2 in 1 and Samsung dex is just is limited and something that apple users might consider a gimmick or a computer but it's not even a basic laptop replacement.

I thought you would have shown more such as using Microsoft office on Dex, having several windows open simultaneously, playing games while using a bigger screen or even watching content (UA-cam, Netflix etc)

Gaming is worse on samsung dex and as for Office 365 apps and media apps like UA-cam, Netflix their is no point as it's basically running mobile version in a slightly interface manner of windows but doesn't add any desktop funtionality.

I have a Samsung M7 Monitor with a M1 Mac Mini along with a Logitech Mac keyboard and Magic Trackpad that’s my setup clean and easy.

how to connect mouse and keyboard? does the normal one with wireless dongle will work.? or do we need to connect with bluetooth keyboard?

I bought the anker 5 in 1 and useed a bluetooth keyboard (with dongle) and a bluetooth mouse (without a dongle) then connected my bluetooth headphones for sound. You do have to use a USB-C in the PD port to power the hub, however after that it has worked flawlessly. I bought a mechanical bluetooth keyboard as well and it is SO NICE!

No unfortunately not it can only do with a Samsung device

Samsung and Apple never play well together. They should but they don't unfortunately.
