I loved hearing about the play, Hearst Castle, and Julia Morgan. I may never get to tour the castle since I'm in the Midwest, but I have been to Henry Ford's home (Fairlane) twice. It isn't nearly as opulant as the castle but interesting just the same. The best part for us in touring his home was they let you spend as much time as you want on the grounds, which are very large. There is a river running next to the property and benches to sit and enjoy, that was about the best part for me. I heard that people arent' crazy about wool stitching so I purchased the flower thread for Jane Parson. I hope to start that one this year.

Thanks for watching this one... I did add some links for you to check out. A fantastic tour of Hearst Castle that is almost like being there in person. Happy stitching on Jane... The flower threads look amazing!

Such a lovely video! All your projects are so beautiful! Don’t feel bad about The Smith Sampler; I too am a bit guilty for not working on it very much! I love it but have been trying to keep up with my WIPGO goals! Hopefully, in May, I can get back to it! I loved the history you gave us on Julia Morgan! I so wanted to go see your play but we were getting ready for a trip to Idaho, which is where we are as I am typing this. We are visiting some friends that moved here 2 years ago! I do hope to get back over to see North Star House soon; it’s such a beautiful place and I know you did Julia proud! So English Paper piecing . . . I too have fallen down that rabbit hole and have all the stash to start something soon! I use to do it 30 years ago and actually have a quilt top I pieced but never finished! It looks really fun with all the new tools to create some beautiful projects! I think you will love it! Hope to see you in May at our stitching group. I missed last month as well! Stephanie’s bags are really nice; I am sure she will get a lot of business from you shouting her out! So happy stitching/quilting and will catch up with you at some point soon! Big Hugs to you my friend!

Thank you Patty! Yes, I hope to be there in May... I'm really missing my stitching friends and the peace it brings me. Things are blooming and the grass is growing inches everyday here!
I have yet to try the EPP but it's on my long list of wanna do's! Hope your enjoying Idaho- Lots of love to you!

Loved seeing what you are up to Katherine - all of your stitching is beautiful and Florence Mary looks fabulous on the vintage pearl barley - I bought the whole kit for this one but need to select a different linen to the one that was provided. Quite inspired to find something similar if I can closer to home. The Smith Sampler is also in my stash - hopefully I get to make a start on that one too. Thank you for sharing your work and interesting talk about Julia Morgan - always so inspiring and great to watch whilst I stitch.💖

Thank you so much for watching... I finally added the links so you can watch more on Julia if you like. She was quite the trailblazer and I was so lucky to be able to portray her in a house that she built. You will love the Smith sampler... a classic beauty! Happy stitching!

Thanks for the video visit. Your stitching is so lovely, and you have a great selection of interesting projects. The play reading sounds like fun and I'm glad that it was successful. Hope to see you at the May For the Love of Stitches get together. I am making some plans for May but lately find that I just have to stitch what is speaking to me!

Were you going to add the Tube on Hearst Castle? I wanted to send it to my cousins as we have spent many an hour there when we stay in Cambria? Great fun - thanks.
