nah yur skit with the ai sold me already 😂 the rest of the vid was great too! i love yur style, deff earned a sub! i jus purchased the rg40xxv and i cant be happier, maybe this'll be next?👀
I’d love to see you review Anbernic’s RG Cube when you get the chance to. Many, MANY people have been praising it for its power and portability. BUT the *ahem* light bleed issues have caused quite a bit of controversy, so it’s something to keep in mind while checking the device out. I’ve bought one for myself yesterday (the black one) and I’d love to see your take on it! Cheers 🥂:3
I just got mine and I'm working on the review next week, so stay posted! But I also did notice the light bleed issues. I do seem to notice it but I'll leave the rest for the full review. And cheers! 🍻 Thanks for watching!
@@DaveyG I need a linux/android emulator like the 405m to play AM2R! the work that went into that hack is incredible, it looks like the best way to play Metorid 2 for me. Also I struggled to play Super with the select-to-swap-missles controls, and Redux fixes that apparently! No hacks that bump the difficulty yet though... I am way too unskilled for those (for now)!
Nope, there is no gamelink cable implementation on any of the custom or stock firmwares. I do think the Miyoo Mini with OnionOS does have that functionality tho. What you DO have is local multiplayer sync with other devices that run the same version of retroarch. So if you have two of these you can play an arcade game like sunset riders with each player using their own device instead of having to share one.
Ive been trying to make this my go to out of the house device but its just a bit too bulky. Its great at home and when having time to sit down but i couldnt make it my go to on the go device over my rg280v. Wish the sp was a bit less bulky and pocket friendly . It is the best of both worlds though
Is it worth keeping the stock ui/os? I want to just play some advanced games and basic psp games like Neverland Card Battles but every video always talks about booting some custom ui and I don't really want all the hastle right away, it's a bit daunting for me And for some psp games, do you have a different recommendation?
Honestly stock UI is totally fine, I didn't even need to update mine. And for PSP Retroid picked 4/4pro Is great. Plus android for tons of other stuff. Here is my review ua-cam.com/video/pIwt2hyZo5I/v-deo.htmlsi=WUaDNj1JdlqaXGZO
I hate all the false advertisement retro channels do for these fucking companies who can't even develop (or simply install) a proper OS. $65 lol? Man here in the EU it's $96 to have it delivered with VAT n shipping. That's almost a 50% increase
@@DaveyG Yeah, and that's taking the cheaper route through China Back in feb when I got my rg35xx+ I first tried ordering it through their website from the EU warehouse, and I kid you not the total cost amounted to $124 with "european shipping" (ch!nks exploiting the fact that people don't want to wait 1mo+). Had mine now for a few weeks, it's always in my pocket and with MuOS installed it's a really clean setup. Highly recommended
There is a joystick. When in game just press the power button just once. The D pad becomes the joystick.
awesome! the software could be a massive help with such hacks, to squeeze much more from the device\
@Astrouie yes

Ordered mine a few days ago :) should deliver this week :) I’m super excited. My first emulation device
Good choice!
How do you like it?
I went into a strange trance loop for half the video listening to clicky and not squishy 😂
so it's working...
@@DaveyG does this thing come with soul silver and pokemon platinum and black and white on it
I think this console is a great option for those who just want to throw the device in their pocket without worrying about scratching the screen.
I'm gonna have to grab one eventually. I keep talking myself out of it. But it's inevitable
Well?
I was in the same boat as you. Just ordered mine
So good, I ordered two. OG Silver and Grey.
Right on!
The GBA SP was my favorite handheld growing up. Definitely going to grab one of these soon!
I bought an R36S a few weeks ago. i regret i didnt see this SP earlier. New to all this things.
Captain: were about ready for take off please put away all electronics
Grown men in their 30s playing sp: NUH
100% sure I will by rg35xxsp soon, but as for now I'm fully satisficed with powkiddy v90.

I really love this form factor, its so cool
I like it too!
A clicky video, but not squishy.
Too late, already bought it and I love it 😊
I've been trying to get my hands on this for so long but it's too expensive in my country 😭 Great video btw!
Love the titles with the price right there. Thanks i subbed !!
Knulli seems like a possible good option for OS, a port of Batocera.
I had a red gameboy flippy one. I wanna relive that nostalgia. Does it have the Wario games?

I love my transparent black xxsp, but that silver though...
it really looks like the original
Can you save?
Come for the tech review, stay for the budding relationship with the AI ❤
:D hopefully it wasn't too on the nose...
okay but are the buttons clicky or squishy?
Thank you! Love these reviews!

Nice review. Would love that 405M to play some Metroid romhacks!

Enjoyed your video. Some excellent details.
Thanks glad you liked it!
Thats a nice review. Subscribed😉
Glad you liked it, welcome aboard!
My issue is that I have a famicom gameboy micro with a flash cart
Did soulsilver come pre installed?
No, it’s from my personal rom library.
I absolutely hate clicky 😭I wish it was squishy then I would buy it
Does it save your game saves
I love mine
Would be great to win that lol.
In serios matters, this anbernic SP seems like it will be fun
Love it!
I love clicky buttons. Squishy always feels inaccurate.
I want 1 and i already have a legion go, modded ps vita and modded psp. Used to own a steam deck and a switch but sold them
Are the stiff buttons a deal breaker?
not at all, makes it feel very close to the original SP
Np, they are great and tactile. Just feels a bit cheap is the downside to me
My question is can I trade Pokemon with my friend if we both get one

I got mine right at launch and I think the stock ui is excellent. It works perfectly fine.
The stock OS does the job, but I would find MuOS to be the best custom firmware at this point.

I'm trying to decide between this , H and cube. the Analog stick missing makes me want to go for the H for now
depends on the game you want to play, but you can't go wrong with any of them!
I have both, I like the SP more for no real reason. The H is awesome, smaller/more portable, and feels better.
I thought the sp would be more portable cuz of the clamshell design
@@nimo25302 it's portable for sure but compared to the H it's chunkier in size and weight.
Anbernic analog sticks suck anyways. They're directional.
