i’m feeling this message. as a filmmaker myself i’m just getting to this conclusion not too long ago and been experimenting with vlogging my creative work days and about to expend it to my daily life.
Bro I’m glad you started exploring vlogs and adding that style of filmmaking into your tool bag. It’s not easy but that’s great because it’ll push you to new heights in story telling. I appreciate you bro!
Hey my bro! Yeah man I really think vlogs could help us deliver our message more effectively. I also believe vlogs are challenging and therefore they would force us to evolve to our full potential. 🤘🏾
spoken like a true boss haha I share the exact same sentiments and this is why I also chose UA-cam to tell my story and become the main character of my own movie
So crazy, first of all, I love this video, and I think it’s a great idea for you to Vlog. Second, and this is the crazy part, I just finished editing a video that I’m releasing tomorrow about why I think it’s important to document your life. :-) I was driving the other day, and I literally just pulled off to the side of the road and shot a quick video, and now I’m watching this. Amazing. You are so right, a Vlog is nothing but a documentary, especially if you have the kind of talent that you have, and if you really dedicate yourself to doing it really well, it will actually be a documentary film. And I mean, technically on that level, Not because of your gear, but because of your composition skills, your shooting skills, your storytelling skills, editing, you have all the gear you need. Your audio sounds great, you have a GH5, i’m not sure what lenses you use, but your footage always looks beautiful, in other words, you have everything you need, you’re good. :-) Awesome video, I look forward to what’s next. Thanks for sharing.
I can’t wait to watch your video. The importance of documenting your life I think is a much better title than what I’ve got 🤣 with all honesty I think vlogs are just like documentary filmmaking, it’s truly an art. I also think it will help me push myself to film all over New York, I usually take the easy way out and I film at home when I’ve NYC at my canvas. It just sucks that I only have one day to film since I work every day. I’ll be on the look out for your video, I love to see different perspectives on the same topic.
@@CabralCreates I think you should Vlog while you’re driving that truck as part of your videos. I never don’t have my camera with me. It’s with me 100% of the time always. I know people think I’m crazy, but no matter what I’m doing and no matter where I am, I can pull out that camera if I want to.Include it all and you’ll have amazing Vlogs because you’re covering so much territory in your truck. It could be an awesome series to follow you as you move about your life. But I’m sure whatever you do is gonna be amazing. :-)
@RockWILK that’s actually a great idea, I might have to shoot it like The Bear (tv show) they use a lot of tight shots, since I work for the federal government I don’t want to reveal too much. But it’s an excellent idea and I might use it soon. 😁 thanks for that!
Life is really a movie . We are the main characters of our life. Vlogging is beautiful , it’s our own visual story and we can tell it in our own unique way.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Yeah I think vlogs are the best way to express ourselves and it just feels so authentic. And authenticity is so rare online. Have you seen The Bear?
@Jenniesvisualdiary It’s about a guy trying to sustain a restaurant that he owns, but it’s much deeper than that. It’s a great show for filmmakers to get inspired and learn filmmaking. Must watch 😁
UA-camrs “Sticks” grew their channel by 500k+ in one year by 1) picking a great idea and 2) using “Cause and Effect” storytelling. Look that up as a device for you. I think it would work well.
Oh wow that sounds like a great golden nugget. Thanks for helping me with that, I’m going to research it so that I could use it as a tool. I truly love to learn more about storytelling which I think it’s the most important skill for us to learn but it’s the most difficult one to master.
@@CabralCreates I truly believe in the concept of "Take advice from people that have what you want, and no one else." I listen to Colin and Samir, Creator Booth (his metaphor use is top notch,) Jay Clouse, and interviews with Paddy Galloway. Deep dive those channels. Remember, its all about if the TOPIC is interesting, did you package it well, and did you get people to stay (delivering on the promise of the thumbnail and title.)
Oh thanks! I watched a 2 hour video and Galloway was there and he said exactly what you said! Man thanks for all the tips! Good luck with your channel as well.
So here's the deal with vlogging to me: it's way underrated. It takes way more effort than what most people think. It's a real skill to make it look effortless. You make it look effortless!
Hello! Yeah I agree with you, vlogging takes a lot of effort. That’s why I think it’s comparable to documentary filmmaking. And nah you make it look effortless, you’re the most underrated vlogger I’ve seen. 👌🏾
I've been on YT for the past 13 years. I would say 0.01% of vloggers actually have the personality and the skills to "make it." Casey Neistadt and Emma are just different perhaps. If you want to vlog for yourself, go for it. but.....
I appreciate your comment! Yeah those 2 have incredible personalities. I think Casey failed for years before he became the Casey that we know now. It might take me years to display my full personality on camera in a way that looks natural but I’m willing to make the sacrifice. Also it’s not like I just want to make vlogs but rather I want filmmakers to look at Vlogs as a great tool to use for the purpose of creating relatable content. I saw a couple of your videos, you make really great and fun outdoor/adventure stuff, you’re so underrated my guy! Thanks again for taking your time to comment.
hey i totally understand. i've been doing youtube for years now and i'm recently going to hit my 100 vlog. trying to be natural and still be entertaining so super hard. you really need to want it and sacrifice a lot to be great. i always tell people not to do this because of how hard it is. let's be friends. i need some youtuber friends
Hey man thanks for your comment! I agree it’s super hard and those who succeed failed many times so it’s a matter of how many times you’re willing to fail in order to succeed. 😁 if you’re around New York we could work one day

Thanks for checking mine out as well! Keep grinding and getting better! 👌🏾
Great episode
Bro thanks I appreciate you! 😁
you're proving that its not the camera as much as its the person BEHIND the camera
Hell yeah! It’s all about the person behind the camera and what’s in front of the camera. 🤘🏾 thanks for watching and for commenting, I appreciate you!
You just inspired me to get more on my vlogging game. Thanks for the video brother
